Their revenue is more than 5 mil a year and the sharks offer 500k for 20%, meaning the valuation is just 2.5 mil. The sharks are not reasonable.
But we don't know what their net income is. Usually valuations work on actual earnings after all costs and tax.

@@RajOnACloud actually valuations are usually a multiplier of EBITDA not Net Profit. So it's Revenue minus operating costs. But yes, you're on the correct lines. We don't know their operating margins or net profits. Perhaps they mentioned it but didn't show in the video. So it's tough to comment if the valuation by the sharks was fair or not

Rising online advertising acquisition costs and a product that people buy once every ten years. All these mattresses companies burn the funding on advertising and then go bust
So it’s a sleep number with more steps. I’m honestly surprised it’s been so successful. Producers need to pick real people, not those looking for a free commercial.

They could have proposed a better deal which can help bring the two interested inventors on board. Say 10% each if they come together to invest $500k. More experience on board to help with running the business and a great plus from marketing perspective.
If things go well..that is a better idea. But with two investors on board you also have to deal with two different mindset. Also at the cost of decreased valuation of the company.
