I may be young but already started having back issues at 26 even though I did the weight lifting and the exersize. Moving away from a desk job helped a little bit but getting back into the college seats (terrible!) didn't help much. Even got downed for a few days for twisting my back the wrong way. I also gained 20 kilograms over the years thinking I was "buff" and "Swole" from my training. And people believed I was muscular rather than fat. Lost 20 kilograms and got the BMI back to the 21 range. And feeling more energetic and looking better than I ever did before. The main reason no study, no matter how profound, on how eating a whole food plant based study can reverse or prevent most of the diseases caused by bad diet will ever take hold in America is because of our low education standards. Most Americans do not believe in science or studies. For example I showed my dad study after study about how stents don't work and that changing his diet will help stop his condition from getting worse and will probably reverse it. His response is always "oh that's just one opinion". The only way this movement will take hold is if our educational system improves, otherwise all the studys in the world will fall on deaf ears. Also insurance companies do not want less money spent on health care because they get a fixed percentage of all the money spent. So if they reduce the money spent, it will kill their bottom line.
A week ago, I was having to scoot my butt to the front edge of my recliner chair and push off with both arms when standing. After a week of plant based food, I get up from the back of the seat without using my arms. Fat is melting off my belly. I'll never eat meat or dairy again.
Plant based since 1997. I didn't do it for health reasons though but for ethical reasons (animal welfare). My compassion has been rewarded by good health 🥰
Yea I'm 50 and still ride a unicycle for exercise and juggle balls and trying to juggle clubs. Juggling helps hand eye coordination and uni-cycling increases trunk strength. If I wasn't on a whole food plant based diet for the past 10 years I wouldn't been able to do all this. I am so thankful for all the research done and those three guys and many more out there saying the same thing.
I would recommend having many more of these symposiums as a way to increase interest and provide factual information to anyone who stops by to listen/watch. It’s a great advertisement for going plant based! I love Dr Ornish is going on FOX since so many anti plant based meat lovers watch that channel.
Wish I had become vegan when I read Dr. Ornish's book on reversing CVD 40 years ago. I'm determined to live the remainder of my life as healthy as possible.
I applaud all the doctors on your panel today. I especially want to celebrate Dr T Colin Campbell for mentioning the historical root causes behind the problems with current medical practises and policies , thank him for the risks he took to educate us and advocate for changes. Listen to what he said about the “ Citizens United” Supreme Court Decision and how it needs to be reversed ! You are rockstars ! You are gamechangers !
Thanks for watching, this was at plant based world conference in NY before COVID. These doctors do a great job appearing at various conferences and festivals. But since COVID I guess these are mostly all virtual now.
This is a like, but ... I'm sure they could have provided them some more comfortable chairs. Poor Drs. Their research & preserverance in the subject of plant nutrition deserves a comfy sofa chairs & coffee table & a fresh, hot cup of joe each !
This was great! I am hoping that the daughter of the person who asked about endometriosis will at least consider making a few dietary changes like cutting out dairy and minimizing oils and see if that doesn't help things. Look into places such as PCRM who have doctors such as Dr. Neal Barnard that have successfully helped treat some people for such conditions. Thanks for the upload.
Definitely! I have endometriosis (probably about 8 years now give symptoms). I’ve been mostly WFPB for about 3 years and it is certainly helping slow the progression and reduce the severity of the pain. It certainly isn’t a cure, but as Dr G always says - since there are no negative side effects to eating like this, why the heck wouldn’t you do it? I have friends though with endo and multiple other conditions who just aren’t open to making lifestyle changes… all we can do is share resources and hope people listen 😊
I’d love for them to each respond to the health improvements of those following a keto diet. Better yet, get 3 of the best keto docs on stage with these 3. Now, THAT would be fascinating!
Keto is just another fad, if you don't have TBI or Epilepsy then it's just dumb. It ranks extremely low, far lower than plant based diets. It may be fascinating though but completely not necessary
It is not living more years but living healthy whatever number of years one gets to live. Also there are two attitudes: 1) feel guilty after eating inconvenient but tasty food or 2) feel triumphant for enjoying the inconvenient food. Why not create tasty and convenient food? Maybe it's time to stop the cheap inconvenient but easy to produce and store (even subsidized) food. The consumer votes with their dollars.
I think he is working on his new book right now "how not to age" for december 2022. So after the book release he will be out and about giving talks again for a year. I think you can find this on his website?
I'm thinking that low fat plant based diet might prevent spinal degeneration. I did find a paper that linked it to atherosclerosis. In addition small vessel disease could be a factor in dementia ,spinal disease, perhaps some forms of renal disease.
Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community.
Health weight management actually is about 70% diet and 30% movement. The obesity crisis spiked not because of a lack of exercise(we have information on historical movement), but because the switch to processed animal foods
@@MrMasterDebate That is true. The point is that while diet is mainly responsible for health and obesity regular exercise is necessary for a strong and healthy body. Cardio improves circulation and pushes blood to the brain, and other extremities. Eat healthy sure but sitting on the couch all day will ruin your fitness and reduce your chances for a long healthy life.
Not everyone can ride a bike. I wish I could but my MS is prohibitive I’m afraid. Doing as much exercise I can, as well as eating a whole food plant diet seems to be the only way to me.
I agree with all of you and especially Dr T Colin Campell that Citizen United reversed. The fastest way to do that is to elect RFKennedy Jr for President in 2024. He has proven that he is the best equipped to make this change! Kennedy 2024!!!
Have to go starch based to make plant based sustainable. The problem is patient's are brain washed from disinformation regarding carbs. Most doctors do not know what causes insulin resistance so they manage with a low carb diet instead of cure with a low fat starch diet.
Pretty certain they're all vegan AF. Give me one reason why they aren't and I'm pretty sure there's just as many ways you aren't if not more. It's people like Ornish & Campbell that make vegans like Greger which pretty much makes them all more vegan than us combined
Being healthy requires a little planning... Go buy some beans greens grains fruits veggies mushrooms nuts seeds herbs and spices, look up some recipes, keep it simple, and you're good to go.
If you vegans weren't so completely economically, historically, and legally naive you could get your agenda through to tens if not hundreds of times more people than now. I'm not even vegan and I'm sad for the lost opportunities and embarrassed when the brilliant medical analysis is disturbed by ignorant comments about climate change (none of you vegans realize that cold kills more people than heat still, and climate related deaths are on the decline), the American legal ruling on Citizens United (it actually allowed criticism of politicians without government approval), American insurance companies are currently socialized and can only increase fees if health care costs go up (only the most far-left fails to understand why that increases medical costs), and I could go on. Thank you for helping open minded people learn to eat healthier, I hope one day the people you helped can return the favor.
It's not that we're naïve, we're just still too small in numbers to get through to the masses, politics, system, etc. We're very well organized, the most organized of all lifestyles, we have a college, we have PCRM working the government, we have DxE, we have NF, we have a lot. But, what we're up against is the most enormous thing ever really. Billions of people culturally conditioned to perpetuate business as usual because they're afraid of change, even if it's killing them not to. There is tremendous collective resistance to the truth. This is why it took 6 thousands studies showing the same thing before even getting a surgeons warning for cigs. Food tho, man, that's digging deep into culture, as deep as it gets really.
@@VeganLinked there are currently well-known ways to overcome these issues and the least effective is criticism. Second only to criticism in effectiveness is dispassionate factual analysis. If poor health didn't focus my attention and overcome my ego, my family wouldn't be eating mostly plants let alone care. One way to overcome normal objections from normal people is to create a health share/insurance group that conditions cheap rates and good service with a vegan diet. It's illegal and always will be, but there are other ideas. You don't need a big group or even highly motivated vegan activists. Just think slightly strategically and listen to other experts like the right wing economists that gave me the ideas to manage private health care for pro-social outcomes.
He is in his eighties though. And if I had to guess he at least is not suffering from neuro degenerative disease much less heart disease or cancer or diabetes. But hes not a body builder if that's what you're after.
Yes, but if I can't have two fried eggs once a month, life just isn't worth living...😄 Aside from that I'm a happy Vegan! Though, I have friends who think that "Happy Vegan" is an oxymoron! 🤣
@VeganLinked I know, I know, being an MD in Internal Medicine! There was a time I ate two Big Macs in a week but I quit that suddenly 20 years ago. Later I quit chicken. Then on a trip to Alaska I saw those magnificent salmon, and I thought, I'll never eat fish ever again. Algae oil provides more than adequate Omega 3 that we need. After all, fish get theirs from algae too. And we can use Flaxseed oil as well. Makes me sick to think of the billions of fish being killed for their Omega 3s.

Dr. Grogger IS very animated and such an amazing being with good heart. He is literally walking encyclopedic. He is a missioner in this life you bring health to this globe. Love him. 🌟💎
Love it 🥦❤ Thank you!
Thank you for posting this. I will share this on my channel.
REAL doctors.
I love you ALL!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
🙏🙏🌱🌱🌱🌱👍👍👍👍🤗♥️🥰
Totally
A week ago, I was having to scoot my butt to the front edge of my recliner chair and push off with both arms when standing. After a week of plant based food, I get up from the back of the seat without using my arms. Fat is melting off my belly. I'll never eat meat or dairy again.
Love these guys and their work 💗 so much appreciation
Plant based since 1997. I didn't do it for health reasons though but for ethical reasons (animal welfare). My compassion has been rewarded by good health 🥰
Same here! Thanks for watching and sharing
I'm working very hard to capture everything I can and share it!!!
It's not necessarily about the living longer part. It's more about having a quality time while we live with a healthy mind and body.
Totally!
Dr Dean Ornish is just the best! They all are, but, man, I just love listening to him!!
Wish I had become vegan when I read Dr. Ornish's book on reversing CVD 40 years ago. I'm determined to live the remainder of my life as healthy as possible.
This is the most informed nutrition debate I have ever heard.
we are spirit, soul and body...be loved
It's been a year since this program - I'd like DR. Ornish to give us some results from this AD research.
Dr. Michael Greger is absolutely awesome.
What a panel of legends!!
'Bout time someone showed some love for the GREAT CAMPELL!
I would love to see studies on reversal of back pain 🙌🏻
I would think it would be based on inflammation like all the rest of aches and pains etc
If back pain is caused by excess weight around your hip, then it will help.
It would be helpful to see the date and location of these presentation that are so informative
Not this one, I almost got sued. F*** that location 😂
I just love the whole plant based community and lifestyle 🌱💗
Great video! What’s the name of the conference / fest ? Thank you! 💕
Thanks for watching, this was at plant based world conference in NY before COVID. These doctors do a great job appearing at various conferences and festivals. But since COVID I guess these are mostly all virtual now.
Loneliness and isolation is an epidemic.
Ignorance and indifference is a pandemic
Wait. What are you saying ? How is that related to this
Always encouraging
Dean is awesome!!
This is a like, but ... I'm sure they could have provided them some more comfortable chairs. Poor Drs. Their research & preserverance in the subject of plant nutrition deserves a comfy sofa chairs & coffee table & a fresh, hot cup of joe each !
My family has a history of heart disease, I saw a ornish clinic, with not great reviews, I wonder why because I love the way this sounds
Probably patient adherence. You'd have to talk to that specific clinic
''The greatest of follies is to sacrifice health for any other kind of happiness.''
Great quote! Couldn't agree more.
Wish these Dr.s would take a look at my chart!! 😊😓🤷♀️
Some of my absolute favorite ppl to listen to and learn from - endless knowledge and compassion - go plant based
This was great!
I met with Dr Neal Barnard yesterday and shot a little video with him. Can't wait to upload it and hopefully shoot more with him.
Listen again carefully, it is ANIMAL PROTIENS causing the top diseases causing death
Keto is just another fad, if you don't have TBI or Epilepsy then it's just dumb. It ranks extremely low, far lower than plant based diets. It may be fascinating though but completely not necessary
Really loving the Type O Negative vibes from Dr Gregor.
this is better than watching a rock concert. ive seen twice in the same day.
Awesome! They are rock stars!!! It's veganpaloza!
@@VeganLinked true. We are entering a new age
Dr Ornish is knocking it out of the park ⚾️ 🌱💪🏼
Epic panel!
You know it!
Nathan Pritikin was the first person to open my eyes to low fat nutrition being the foundation for good health.
Crazy
Dr Dean Ornish is so eloquent at 22:50 ☺️🌱👍🏼
35:42 - "It's like Donahue..." 🤣
:) Dr G's a hoot ❤️
What's not investigated enough is auto-immune diseases and difficult issues like endometrioses that affect about 15% of women.
Is Dr. Greger’s speaking tour in operation yet? Would love to see him. I live in Omaha
I live in Wyoming, but would totally drive to Omaha to attend!
I think he is working on his new book right now "how not to age" for december 2022. So after the book release he will be out and about giving talks again for a year. I think you can find this on his website?
@@unholyquail4560 Yes, I think you are correct!
I'm thinking that low fat plant based diet might prevent spinal degeneration. I did find a paper that linked it to atherosclerosis. In addition small vessel disease could be a factor in dementia ,spinal disease, perhaps some forms of renal disease.
I love dr Greger, he's wise.
He has a very upbeat, contagious personality.
Why do you have grown men sitting on high chairs? Totally uncool., these men are professionals and deserve better. My humble opinion.
No doubt, you're not the first person to make that observation. Totally out of my control...
What did Dr Collins refer to study j way 1900...what's the name of Dr he was talking about
He was talking about the China study
When did this take place?
Just over a year ago
I think Michael’s leg wants to say something
😂
loneliness and depression indeed doc. it's an epidemic in its own right
Should have had a treadmill on the stage for Dr. G. ❤
😆
“Reverse Citizens United”
Epic!!
Have to go starch based to make plant based sustainable. The problem is patient's are brain washed from disinformation regarding carbs. Most doctors do not know what causes insulin resistance so they manage with a low carb diet instead of cure with a low fat starch diet.
Nah, beans, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts and seeds like the Daily Dozen by nutritionfacts.org
Heros
"no i obviously haven't" lmao
Pretty sure the only "vegan" on the doctors panel is Greger. Not gate keeping, just annoyed when terms are used loosely. Thanks for sharing the chat.
Steph could you share what Campbell and Ornish eat that disqualifies them? I guess I should know, alas. Am very interested.
Pretty certain they're all vegan AF. Give me one reason why they aren't and I'm pretty sure there's just as many ways you aren't if not more. It's people like Ornish & Campbell that make vegans like Greger which pretty much makes them all more vegan than us combined
The future is vegan 🍌
🧡
Why is Greger;'s left leg constantly moving up and down?
He normally walks hours a day on his desk threadmills machine . Must have to much energy to burn which he cant by being sitting down.
@@j-sm4554 he always seems to be full of energy doesn’t he? 😀
Plant based eating requires planning and meal prep. If there is healthy food available, we will eat it.
Is Dr. Campbell showing bone loss?
Not from what I can tell. To properly assess that you would need more information than just some shallow observation
He is in his eighties though. And if I had to guess he at least is not suffering from neuro degenerative disease much less heart disease or cancer or diabetes. But hes not a body builder if that's what you're after.
@@VeganLinked no he seems very sharp, just a little littler than before.
@@mrgregcat it's not easy to gage his size without him standing adjacent to something so some of that may be in your mind lol
Yes, but if I can't have two fried eggs once a month, life just isn't worth living...😄 Aside from that I'm a happy Vegan! Though, I have friends who think that "Happy Vegan" is an oxymoron! 🤣
It's easy to make vegan alternatives and never miss eggs.
@@OnlineMDI live in Anchorage. I know what you mean!
