Your video brings back good memories of some of the Best trash fish fishing to be found in the Stockton area. Fished that lake almost every day as a kid, with lots of memories of big fish catch & releases. Big Carp , Channel cat, Bass & Stripers, if it swims it’s in that lake,, along with a few overgrown aquarium fish released over the years. Moved to Oregon 10 years ago and still miss Yosemite lake & the Smith Canal. Keep them videos coming.
ROFL Trash Fishing... oddly enough I like the sound of that. Personally I wouldn't eat fish from that water for anything! Though recon you're referring to Carp in general. Funny thing is Patricia (if I may) we normally NEVER target Carp. This was the first time we did, honestly REALLY been wanting to! Plan to do Shark fishing sometime this coming year. So you did manage to pull up some MONSTERS from those same waters? Figured must be some BEASTS in there. Hope you're enjoying Oregon, I always figured it was really GREEN out there. Love loads of Trees and Grasslands. Considered moving to Twain Harte area. Yosemite will SOOO be waiting for YOU, when you're ready! If there was a heaven on earth that surely must be one of the spots! It's an honor having you watch the videos with us, totally enjoy sharing the Fishing Experience with everyone. Heck even if we fair bad on a day, perhaps it'll be a good idea for people what not to cast or when not to go heh. Still learning....use to Hunt far more than fish. Plus a good 22+ hobbies over that like Programming, Painting, Martial Arts, Snow Skiing and so on.... sorry long winded. Hope you get some GREAT fishing there! We'll keep Cai ready for your visits! Ken & Lea
Thanks again buddy! You always seem to have our back. Lots of work with the editing and stuff. So hard on the Skunk days. What to do? Recently we actually had 3 skunk trips in a row. Or there would have been a few more videos. Tight lines.... Ken & Lea
@hershisadventuresincalifor9725 At least you're out there grinding. I haven't been out in months myself with the holidays and the weather not wanting to cooperate when I want to go.
@@KnightOfZero117 Heheh I hear you boss, there were many of those trips I didn't feel like getting up in the morning stepping into 42-55 temps for hours on end. Recon we have a duty to you all now heh. P.S. soon we should have some SWEET Spring weather for you!
Thanks a ton boss! Really means a lot. Though if I may I thought the Trout Madness at Oak Grove park was a good video also heh. Thanks again, it's an honor. I feel bad because we've been too busy to watch your videos. That's why I put some time in and watched like 6 back to back heh. Yeah was an AWESOME day, we did ok there in the past, but not like this day. Sure I'd be honored for another trip and all of us chill. To date I enjoyed each trip! Ken & Lea
Alex (if I may), surely am pleased with the trip! We never set to target them before. (surely you seen me mention that). Been wanting to for some time. We've caught smaller ones previously, these Mid Sized ones I recon? Yet surely want to land a Monster. Hey Alex... do you know if we've got Mirror Carp here? If so in the Delta? Thanks brother that means a lot! On some videos at times I feel I dropped the Video Editing ball. While others I can nearly say I was ok with. So hard to judge ones own work. I'm in Sacramento and I must say that I Love your content and mostly the bond that you and your Wife have I fish alot and I'm lucky that my Wife is cool with it...... KEEP UP THE GOOD STUFF
William thanks a lot boss! Though can take the Bad News as well. More common for people to toss the Bad News or Negative comments then say things that are positive. Surely one thing nearly impossible for me to judge my own video editing/filming work. If no one says anything, I'm left wondering if they're ok. As for the Fish. They helped make the video this day my good man! Thanks again for all the Kind Words, Shout out to Sacramento and to your family! Ken & Lea
Great video and even better catching. Love catching Carp lots of fun and fight. I use the hair rigs and pack bait to catch mine. Carp jump all the time, very normal. Some say they jump trying to shake parasites off, I think they just like to jump. Not sure but I think those were Bull Head catfish you were catching. Thanks for the great video. And don't worry about a little mud on your tennis shoes 😁😁😁
Thanks David, felt we were due for a GOOD day! Though I feel our last Oak Grove park was also great! Oh it was awesome! Our first time targeting them. Not sure what the Hair Rig is (the extended leader line like 2" over the hook with the bait?). I recall when people first said they jump. I was thinking naaaa those chubby guys all happy. Naaa they're lazy. Recon NOT! That jumping was insane.... Thanks for the note on the Bull Head Catfish, always loving knowing each type of fish. Haha those shoes been through a LOT, as has the hat. They're reminders, though just ordered replacement shoes for fishing heh. Thanks David, still on honor having you view them with us! Ken & Lea
Hey ken its rick! Thanks for the shoutout! Like alex said were definitely gonna meet up again soon. Also the carps are jumping like that because they are feeding off yhe bottom and get debri in their gills. Jumping like that allows them to clear their gills out.
Mariano Thanks much for the info, with some of those fish seen I'm with you on that. Some surely looked like Salmon. Of course in person and not slow motioned at times was hard to tell what most of them were. We hope you enjoy the vids! Ken & Lea
How goes it good buddy? Been some time since we all chilled. Yeah we can get another trip/video going. Never heard that one before about the Carp Jumping. Oddly enough that sounds like that could indeed be it or part of it. Not sure I'd have even thought of that one. I figured was more their comfort level or feeding. Well recon in part feeding if your correct, but yeah just hit us up. Think we've reached out a few times.... Ken & Lea
Thanks for the Sub boss... honored. Yeah this day for me was a Score! Sometimes when I feel like theres too many carp jumping iono if thats a good sign or bad for them to bite. I saw this location from the bank anglers too. Suprising the water is not murky
Well we felt the bite was on fairly well with the jumping. At least this day. This was actually one of our shorter days in terms of time fishing. We weren't there long. Yeah we saw their video too, chatted with them a bit about it. Funny no is was actually fairly clear! Was stunned, I'd expect that was clean river water.
Hey Thanks good buddy for the suggestion! We actually fished Lodi Lake a few times semi recently. Caught some SWEET fish jumping and surfacing! In person was hard to tell what they were sometimes. When I started editing the video, zoom and slow motion could actually ID some of them. Fairly sure we seen Carp & Salmon in them. Surely thanks again, look forward to our next Lodi Lake trip! Yes my friend the carp jumped when they need oxygen they start jumping this what im learning from ppl in Europe carp fishing im almost 30 years now experience thank u
Thanks for the info on Carp jumping! So far people have said: 1) To clean debris from their gills 2) To clean parasites off them 3) Them having fun 4) Them feeding 5) Need Oxygen (similar with #1) Oooo do you watch Fishing with Carl & Alex? Now just Fishing with Carl. We watched them for like 2 years. But... 30 years experience I think is professional! My father Hunted & Fished almost every day of his life. Even quit his job to Hunt full time. Back then we hunted EVERYTHING, but we only fished for Salmon & Sturgeon. Ken & Lea
Hey good buddy, rarely boss rarely. May not be good for the vids heh. Normally we keep fishing within a 2-3 range of Sacramento. Mostly south of there. Also in the Sierra Mountains some times.
