Everyone going vegan would actually require more land mass dedicated to agriculture. To grow plants on an industrial scale, they clear massive amounts of ground and kill every living organism (every tree, every mouse, rabbit, etc) that used to be there. Then they make sure to keep away every animal that wants to eat that food being grown. It’s sad to see something die but killing and eating deer, elk, etc and leaving quality habitat ensures wild animal populations still exist more than the whole world going vegan would. Once land is put to the plow it’ll never be inhabited with the biodiversity it once had (that being said, many farmers do provide more habitat to wildlife than a new city in the same location would). Habitat is the key to the future of wildlife. I’ll never tell someone what they should eat. But there are no simple solutions in terms of “everyone should do this or that”.

As a guy who lived on a mountain in Montana for 25 years and saw plenty of wildlife… bears, cougars, bobcats, one linx, wolves ,coyotes, deer ,elk, moose, weasels, ermine , squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, porcupine and more…I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent video, one of the best ever wildlife videos !👌👏😁
Hi from New Zealand. Thank you for showing us a taste of what it’s like on the other side of the world. Such an interesting and calming video. I appreciate a glimpse of your natural world.
i love doing my homework with this in the background. I can just look up and maybe a dear is drinking water or a family of bears are sniffing the camera and chilling. very peaceful!
Thank you for doing this. It was an opportunity to see some of these animals in a relaxed setting and enjoy them in their home environment. I had to laugh at how similar moms are no matter the species... always having a kid wanting to paw at you when you'd just like a moment or two to yourself.
Not sure why this was in my recommendations today, but I am glad it was! I've lived in Arizona for 25 years and I still get such a feeling of affection and pride for our beautiful nature. I hope we always take care of it so future generations can enjoy as much as I do.
So cool to see the cougars! Mountain lions are misunderstood animals and are very likely a threatened species (it’s debatable since they are very hard animals to find, but we know that their numbers are dropping drastically). While some places still have large populations, most of their natural habitat has been abandoned. They face a lot of danger from humans and bigger predators. It’s so lovely to see some thriving in the wild! This was a perfect snapshot of all the local wild animals. I didn’t know there were bears in Arizona. And that ring tailed cat thing looked like something from the jungle lol.
Mountain lions are not endangered. They're so many that their actually spreading to the East who hasn't seen them for 100+ years. The only ones that were on the threatened list in the recent past was the Florida Panther and even their numbers are fairly healthy now.
Mountain lions currently inhabit more of the US then they ever have historically, ur being fed propaganda by so called “animal rights organizations” when damn near everything they want would be severely damaging to the natural environment. Not only do hunters play a huge role in population control, but they fund nearly every aspect of nature preservation and national parks in the states
All predators are actually making a big comeback in the states after being decimated in the 20th centry. The explosion of the deer population over the last 25 years, has made people realize the necessity of alpha predators. Unfortunately, in the north east USA, where they are needed most, big cats are still extinct for the most part.
I live in maine and the state will not acknowledge that mountain lions live here so that they don't have to take any measures to protect them. But there have been plenty of sightings and I myself believe I saw one driving home one night, it completely floored me. Just to say, yes they are moving East lol
Great video. I lived in Arizona. I spent time off Stoneman Lake Road and in Rattle snake Canyon. There are bears there also . Such a joy to see them. These water pools are so important for the wildlife that visit them. I am in my 80's now and and this video brought back a whole bunch of memories. Thanks.
Great work Michael, your work is like a National Geographic movie without all the unwanted extras! Keep them coming. I love the bears cooling off and especially the magnificent lions.
First: We as humans need to protect areas like this as much as possible. Second: That was like a breath of fresh air, nature as our ancestors have experienced it for thousands of years. Third: You can see for hunting, just put your blind by the water hole. Fourth: The camera technology is amazing. Fifth: Thank you for your patience, knowledge of the wilds, knowledge of videography, and for sharing that amazing blend of camera and nature skills .
Thank you for the compliments 🙏 I totally agree on protecting these places and your comment on how our ancestors used to be much more in sync with life out there.
Please don't talk about hunting. Yes, a person could hide here and kill lots of animals. Why? Not hungry, are you? These animals are struggling to live in a land that's drying up and humans taking more all the time. Please let them live. They're not there for a few men to enjoy killing.

The bat was Amazing! All creatures need water… It’s like on the Serengeti when it’s super dry and all the animals make a temporary truce so they can all drink, then go back to being predator and prey later…
Fantastic footage! I could watch this all day. It surprises me how quickly some of the animals spot the camera. Maybe they can detect your scent from it?
The bathing bears were hilarious! Nice camera setup, surprised that the animals did not tip it over when they investigated it, or that the stomping skunk did not spray it. Thanks for posting this.
Really amazing footage, wow. The bear scenes were a joy to watch! I came across 2 "teenage" bears once playing and splashing each other in a lake during a heat wave on a canoe trip (in BC), it's incredible to see them cooling off and just having r&r time! All the shots were truly something to watch. And I like the time and temperature stamps, yeah, that was hot alright! The hailstorm at the end of those few days must have been refreshing for all those creatures.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate listening to the sounds of the animals & the elements instead of a "soundtrack"💫 wasn't expecting the bears in that heat!

The skunks seem really smart
Is that a skunk at 9:38. That is the skinniest skunk I've ever seen. Must not be a lot of garbage cans for him in that area.
Way more variety than I was expecting. Even got a closeup of the mountain lion's face. That was my favorite part.
Thanks for watching. Lots of variety down here.
We must conserve natural lands and keep water sources clean for all life on this planet. So beautiful. Thank you ❤
Thank you for watching
This is why you don't drink from natural pools.
Loving the bears enjoying themselves and all the wildlife
Everyone seemed to love that bear bath tea. 😂 great footage!
Thank you
I have watched allot of trail cams on TH-cam, but this one takes the prize. You really did find the perfect place. Incredible footage!
Thank you very much for the kind words.
"a lot"
This is such an amazing example of biodiversity. Water is so important to life. Great footage. Makes me want to do better for all life. We have the message. Salute.
Salute!
That skunk was sassy 😂 the baby black bear was super cute too. Life is too short to be worrying about anything really. Humans have made life wayy too complicated
Water is truly the most precious resource.
A good lesson in why not to drink water out of natural ponds. GREAT video!
Thank you!
Great footage. Always amazes me to see how tough these wild creatures are...a human drinking that water straight out the pool would undoubtedly get so sick.
Thank you. They are incredibly tough.
We were once this tough as well.
I thought this too!!
That's what I was thinking. How is it they can do it but we can't?
Some humans still can. Human ancestors probably had to drink out of stuff like that at certain times.
That’s a lot of wildlife. Beautiful.
The way the one bear kept pawing the camera suspiciously like “this…is not a rock.” 😂😂😂
For all the people who think the Arizona desert is a barren wasteland with no life, think again. The desert 🌵 is incredibly beautiful and teeming with life. Great video. It’s like watching a Disney movie!
Thank you 👍
the desert is a river with its life underground
TBH, Arizona is a big state, this looks like northern or central AZ. There are some stretches, particularly between Phoenix and Tucson that are barren ass wasteland
This is actually near Tucson 👍
@@Michael.Outside Doesn’t surprise me! The immediate Tucson area is beautiful. Mt Lemon area?
As a guy who lived on a mountain in Montana for 25 years and saw plenty of wildlife… bears, cougars, bobcats, one linx, wolves ,coyotes, deer ,elk, moose, weasels, ermine , squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, porcupine and more…I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent video, one of the best ever wildlife videos !👌👏😁
That is high praise. Thank you for watching! I’d love to set a camera up in Montana one day.
@@Michael.Outside I will watch your video many times… perfectly done… congratulations. If you get to Montana check out the Tobacco Root Mountains !😁
Thank you. I will definitely do that!
I get a kick out of how much bears love pools. So cute, no wonder they’re teddy bears!!!
🧸
Hi from New Zealand. Thank you for showing us a taste of what it’s like on the other side of the world. Such an interesting and calming video. I appreciate a glimpse of your natural world.
Thank you for watching 👋
To see that huge, beautiful cat--and then the other face appearing! Wonderful. Thankyou
Thanks for watching 👍
Ya that was the highpoint for me too! That and the grosbeak, wow!
It’s amazing how these sense the inorganic presence of the camera the skunk literally attacked it! 🥰
Animals aren't stupid. They all had an idea they were being watched. Even the Bear cub
The animals can smell the leftover human scent that is still on it.
Fingerprints will leave a residue also.
What a delightful experience to watch these precious animals living their lives like they should.....free and happy !
The skunk was so funny. Loved when it charged the camera. All the animals were great!
Thank you for watching 👍
Better than any movie or tv show!❤❤❤
☺️
i love doing my homework with this in the background. I can just look up and maybe a dear is drinking water or a family of bears are sniffing the camera and chilling. very peaceful!
I might do some longer videos if I can for just this type of thing.
@@Michael.Outside Yes please!
I second that!
Thank you for doing this. It was an opportunity to see some of these animals in a relaxed setting and enjoy them in their home environment. I had to laugh at how similar moms are no matter the species... always having a kid wanting to paw at you when you'd just like a moment or two to yourself.
Thank you for watching 👍
Not sure why this was in my recommendations today, but I am glad it was! I've lived in Arizona for 25 years and I still get such a feeling of affection and pride for our beautiful nature. I hope we always take care of it so future generations can enjoy as much as I do.
I agree. Thanks for watching 👍
It’s beautiful 😻
@@ChantillyLane22 Yep, we’re seeing them in Missouri along with a lot of black bear. It’s a myth that bear and cougars are endangered.
Thanks.
Happy to bring back memories. Thank you for watching Frank.
It's funny how the black bear and the black bear cub look so much like grizzlies
Wow that was so incredible beautiful…. I feel so at peace. Thank you kindly and God Bless ❤
Thank you for watching and commenting. You’re welcome!
Great work Michael, your work is like a National Geographic movie without all the unwanted extras! Keep them coming. I love the bears cooling off and especially the magnificent lions.
Thank you for the kind words Bruce.
Fabulous footage. Amazing how many animals rely on that small pond of water.
👍 Thanks for watching.
1: we need to protect these areas 2: these spots are great for people to hunt animals when they have supermarkets full of plant based proteins. #LOGIC
@@austindobbins8957 do Americans want their beautiful native wildlife, or do they only like it when its head is mounted on the wall?
@@emilydavison2053 Thanks for your comment. There is no need for hunting in the Americas today. Sick egos kill animals for “fun.”
Loved how mama bear had a bit of a nap while the going was good. So sweet!
This is excellent! Everybody has to drink the bears' bath water!
gamer bear bath water
Hahaha!😄😄😄😄💓🐻💓
That ring-tailed critter was so cute! Never knew we had such animals here in America. Thanks for showing it!
My pleasure 👍
I had no idea either!!!
Ring tailed cats are our (Arizonas) state mammal! They are related to raccoons and coatimundis, and are very shy nocturnal carnivores.
@@samanthashea6359 Neat, I was wondering what it was, on seeing it I was thinking mustelid(it's very reminiscent of pine martens).
Ring tailed cats live as far North as Oregon and Colorado
That's so cute, the little baby holding onto Mom.
Thank you this was a wonderful idea of yours and a wonderful experience for me♥️❤️🎄
Thank you for watching 🌲
This was an incredible set up! You struck GOLD on this one! Outstanding and hello from South Florida.
Thanks for watching. Definitely had luck on my side here. I’m glad we have gotten some rains now and the animals can spread out. I’ll check out your channel. South Florida has always intrigued me.
@@Michael.Outside thanks so much looking forward to more of your trail cam videos! I sent your link to a few of my friends they liked it as well
I greatly appreciate that.
@@Michael.Outside I love the rock set up! Here in Florida we have too many thieves that would steal my cameras they have to be locked around trees using cable locks. Again I am sharing your cougar video with my albums trail cameras and Florida Panthers. I hope you don't mind. Great stuff keep up the amazing adventures.
@@bobbywummerphotography9798 Thank you! I don’t get much foot traffic by my spots. I try to hide them. But I did recently invest in some cables just in case.
I absolutely love this. As a wildlife photographer in East Mesa, AZ, I see many animals up close and personal- but not bears and mountain lions! thanks for sharing!
I also have a DSLR but I prefer this because like you said, I can get close to just about anything. Thanks for watching.
I used to live in Apache Junction. I saw most of the beautiful creatures but never a bear or mountain lion. I imagine there's a few up on the Superstition mountain...
This is Jeff’s wife commenting: thank you for these. I could watch them for hours! I never saw so many puma! The bears in the pools are wonderful and I love the javelina and skunks too. These really help with anxiety. Thank you!
So happy to hear they help you. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. 😀
What kind of trail camera is that
Browning Recon Force Advantage
Wow,,, I know and just watching them can bring such a calming effect. How wonderful must be the fella that made all them critters and such. Talk to him and your anxiety will start to go away forever. Then keep on talking to him regularly and anxiety will never return.
@jesus christ you trolling? Cause how on earth is that disrespectful? Your user name is though
Thank you for skipping through all the slow parts so we got to aee a lot of action and constant animals. Great footage the best i have ever seen yet.
Thank you I appreciate the kind words.
A shame he went through all the work of setting that up ... and NOTHING!! 😂
The slow parts would have been nothing duh
The bat was Amazing! All creatures need water… It’s like on the Serengeti when it’s super dry and all the animals make a temporary truce so they can all drink, then go back to being predator and prey later…
Agree 🎉
Fantastic footage! I could watch this all day. It surprises me how quickly some of the animals spot the camera. Maybe they can detect your scent from it?
Probably. Scent, sound (the camera has a small motor), plus it’s just out of place. Even though it’s camouflaged they know something is up.
@@Michael.Outside Plus the camera has a light, correct? It appears the mountain lions are being illuminated
I love bears man. They’re so fucking cute. I know they could end me with one swipe but I just wanna give em a big ol hug.
I feel the same way. Extreme respect/admiration but knowing they could rip me apart.
They don't call it a bear hug for nothing
Are you leaving this comment on every bear video?
@@noelvalenzarro this is the only bear video I’ve watched lol it was a random recommendation. Why do you ask?
@@CptCupcake5 I swear I’ve see your exact comment like 3 other times. I guess a lot of people feel the same way about bears.
Vielen Dank für die Videos ❤ Was für schöne Aufnahmen ❤ Was für wunderschönen Tiere kommen voor der Kamera ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Vielen Dank fürs Zuschauen.
The bathing bears were hilarious! Nice camera setup, surprised that the animals did not tip it over when they investigated it, or that the stomping skunk did not spray it. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for watching. I owe the skunk a debt of gratitude for not spraying and a big thank you to the critters who didn’t knock the camera over.
Skunks generally only spray if involved in hostile confrontations with other animals
I’m glad you liked it 👍
Thanks so much! I really appreciate listening to the sounds of the animals & the elements instead of a "soundtrack"💫 wasn't expecting the bears in that heat!
😊
Wow, that's some stunning footage! I'd never heard of a ring-tailed cat before, but they're beautiful! Great to see such variety of wildlife.
Thanks for watching 👍
