As always bud your insight is greatly appreciated. Been slaying the banks of the sierras my whole life, that split shot idea with the bobber is genius, anything to grab that fish’s attention this time of year! Thank you
Hi Cal, love the videos and looking forward to using plastics I’ve gotten from you next spring…..If the erratic movement caused by the action disc is desirable, would it be a good idea to use one in front of a wedding ring spinner type lure?
Do you plan on making another trout fishing book? I was going to buy the one you have out now but I was thinking you probably learned some new stuff since that book came out.
I have to bank fishing tomorrow since the lake is closed to boats cause of waterfowl hunting, I was gonna plunk a powerbait/power egg setup and then use another rod to put my water bobber and wolly bugger and try to cast that a country mile lol. Raining hard here in Washington but since steelhead are running up the rivers waters are high not worth it yet. So low land lakes here I come. 😂
You'd be better off throwing a Kastmaster 1/4 oz spoon. Blue and chrome, also gold and red. A 1/4 oz Daredevil spoon hammered finish. Heck, even a 1/4 oz or 1/6 oz Jakes Spin-A-Lure, same colors.

Awesome!!! That shot also makes it easier to get water in the bobber… win, win!
Really useful info. I made a small purchase. Looking forward to spring to use it in Colorado. Hope you and the family have a Happy New Year.
Thanks, you too!…. We are having a lot of rain here in NorCal but it’s been pretty warm, which is fine with me!!
Great ideas, Cal! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to try out some of your scent when it hits the store!
Please do!
I’m beginning to be a believer in soft plastic. Thank you and Happy New Year 😊
Thanks for watching! Those soft baits work!!
Excellent information sir, thank you
You are welcome
Another great video Cal, thank you! Were you presenting from Sugar Pine? Beautiful spot... I just don't have any luck fishing the bank at Folsom...
Yes it was!
@FHSTackle My son and I will probably hit that lake this week. Question: do you know what color trix worm or minnow works well at Eagle lake?

I don’t know!

Ya lost me at Powerbait lol. Food on a hook, just too easy.
