The first season just felt right, like a real badass 2000 mafia TV show, the other seasons don't have that vibe and the show became too psychological, I wish they showed more mafia stuff like in season 1.
@IntrepidTit It would never be as renowned as it is today. It inspired an entire genre of television. An era. Breaking Bad, The Wire, Mad Men, Dexter, etc. Would not exist without the Sopranos, and more specifically, the anti-hero sociopath Tony Soprano.
I love how in the last photo, Tony is standing up next to Junior...another subtle way of the writers to show that Tony was the real boss of the family and everybody in that room knew it.
Well Junior got the title and hes blood with Tony so even though he wasnt really running it in the way Tony was he was still practically the leader. He could call shots and do everything a leader does but Tony just met with everybody and made his own plans and had the one business thing that he told Junior was his cost to letting Junior be leader. I dont remember what it was now. Like a Paving Union or something

Mikey Palmice's photo looks like he's a CGI character's photo from an early 2000s video game during a cutscene. Yea it's oddly specific. But that's what came to my mind when I saw this.
Rewatching this scene it’s insane how many of these characters are either dead/in jail/ or out of the picture like Junior. We’ve seen new characters come and go but I can’t imagine how lonely it would feel to be the last guy from the original family.

I get why, for dramatic effect, they had them cross out "CAPO" and write out "BOSS" next to it, but you clearly see at 0:27 that they already had a much cleaner new card for Junior labelled "New Boss." For the sake of my own OCD, I would 100% have used the new card, personally.
You know something I just realized? Jimmy has his hand clearly on the table, which may be a reference to Judas having his hand on the table during the last supper, I don't know of he was the only one there that turned out to be a rat but if so, what an amazing reference!
@@Sgt.McHale normally I wouldn't go that far, but the way Jimmy sits always stood out to Me, almost as if the actor didn't realize his character wasn't supposed to know about the camera, shoulders square towards the camera, that kind of thing, almost looks like Jimmy was striking a pose
