Hey there! I have a pack of TRS female panel jacks and my piezos to make my mini drums! Each time I have soldered the red and black wires to two of the three posts, I am still not getting a sound out of them. I even switched them and still nothing. I am using Alessis DM dock with an iPad and the drum app I have the trs cables as well. What do you think I am doing wrong? Most grateful to you for any assistance : )
Bought a cheap compressor to use with my tv. Is it safe to run TS adapters(connected to Roku's RCA outs) in & out of the stated TRS jacks on the compressor?
awesome explanation. I have trs y cable to xlr. Can I use this for my mixer that has 1/4" L R output to xlr recorder? I bought the wrong cable and hope it works....ugggh. thank you
Hi, I'm connecting my computer to my two speakers using 1/8 stereo to dual 1/4 TS mono cable. Will the sound from two speakers cancel out with each other as the polarities are opposite? Thanks a lot
Hey man, whats up? Can you please help me on this one? I got the idea of TRS being both stereo unbalanced or mono balanced, however, what can you say about cable construction itself? Is the wiring any different from Mono Balanced to Stereo Unbalanced? I mean, the shield (sleeve) should be soldered the same for both types?
Thanks much for your explanation, it helped me a lot!

Hi, I have heard something about "half-balanced" ,or so. Would please tell me if it's true and what are they, if they exist?
Thanks!
For audio gear you have either balanced or single ended. I've never heard of half balanced. But of course. I don't know all so I might be wrong.

The cable is just one design. They don't have one type for stereo and one for mono.
