People don't seem to realise that the gun and limber way as much as a small car, and there are no brakes! The level of equestrianism here is second to none, controlling a horse can be hard enough in this kind of environment, controlling two and being part of a team of three with six horses and the gun and limber is nothing short of phenomenal. Well done to the soldier who came off, and the speed with which she re-mounted.

My dad was in this regiment I wish I had been closer to him he was not the same man after the war he kept things bottled up committed suicide he loved his horses so sad boy soldier in 1931 miss him so

My husband was in the Musical Drive in the late 60’s; he came off once. And he was one of the riding instructors!
