1.5 tones of gun and limber, and no brakes. Always impressed the hell out of me. Saw them at the RT - the Drakes Drum year - sitting in the front row. The world shook and the the earth moved. Magnificent.
Those guns are actually guns from the First World War!
Gotta give it to the rocks.

My dad was in this regiment I wish I had been closer to him he was not the same man after the war he kept things bottled up committed suicide he loved his horses so sad boy soldier in 1931 miss him so

People don't seem to realise that the gun and limber way as much as a small car, and there are no brakes! The level of equestrianism here is second to none, controlling a horse can be hard enough in this kind of environment, controlling two and being part of a team of three with six horses and the gun and limber is nothing short of phenomenal. Well done to the soldier who came off, and the speed with which she re-mounted.
My husband was in the Musical Drive in the late 60’s; he came off once. And he was one of the riding instructors!

In Hungarian, "ÖCSI" can be the nickname between two brothers to be younger or smaller. But it can simply be a nickname for an only son in a family or a boy in a community (similar was probably the reason Puskás Öcsi got this nickname in football team). The pronunciation approx. is: OETSCHI (as the vowel in the words "burn, first, heard")

Getting a Hungarian Visla puppy in less than 5 months, any tips or helpful facts? :)
Cutie Pie so. Much. Exercise. Seriously make sure they get loads of walks (2hrs a day and playtimes). Also theyre prone to separation anxiety so working on not letting it be alone for too long too, not known as a 'velcro' dog for no reason.

Be very careful in how you discipline your vizsla. They are very sensitive and need to be corrected softly for bad behaviour.

Leash doesn't suit well to a Vizsla. Also pointless... always be around you... doesn't give a .... mostly about other dogs ... it is not a dog... Once you pick them you just don't go back dogs anymore.

Do you think an adult V would be happy and not too crazy with 3 twenty minute walks a day and a 30-45 min off leash run/dog park trip in the evening? I could also go on longer 1-2 hour hikes on the weekends. And could take it to work with me (a full day play doggy day care). I am a college student so can not let one run for hours at a time.
that sounds enough to me. they typically need around 2 hours of exercise per day
just invest in a frisbee and just play lots of fetch

Our Vizsla is already 9 months... it seems like yesterday she was this little! They are such wonderful dogs.
