    This is huge!!! Smart Objects and seemingly not being able to edit the image after the fact has been the bane of my editing existence. NO MORE!!! Thank you x1000000

    What most video miss and even on Adobe help, is when you assign a smart object to a layer and right click to edit content, is the part where it opens in another document to do the editing and save and go back to resume your work. I was creating a mock-up for my trifold brochure and learned about placing graphics on each panel through smart object. You explained it well, thank you 👍

    • @ThatPhotographySpot

      Thank you so much 🙏. PSD if it’s a super simple edit, but for anything hefty, always a PSB (large document format) to ensure I don’t hit a size limit. Hope that helps 😊

    I open the .DNG file, which opens into the Camera Raw Tool, I click open from Camera Raw and then it opens in photoshop. Then I converted the .DNG file to a smart object. Then I dbl. click layer and it does open a new tab/image. I can now use content aware tools and other filters, just as described in your video. But when I close that image and hit save, when requested to, it closes that tab and I see the updates applied to the original DNG file, but I do not see any additional smart layers, like the content aware changes or camera raw filter layers, that allow me to go adjust or remove changes.

    • @ThatPhotographySpot
      @ThatPhotographySpot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, so if you double click the layer again it should reopen with the adjustments just like before 😊

    Hello Jess, thanks for this video. When I open a file as a smart object from lightroom in photoshop in order to clean up, after pressing edit contents the only thing that pops up is the camera raw. Once I close this I can't seem to be able to use any tools just like before. Is there any workaround this? I am using photoshop 2022. Thanks in advance!
