Big Bong was such a G. Imagine volunteering to be completely erased from existence for all time to save someone? Sacrifice doesn't get much greater than that.
Mufasa's death just overall felt less sad and more shocking. It was less focused on hitting you in the feels and was mostly just a plot device to continue the story. Bing Bong, though? It's already sad enough on its own, but when you think of it as a metaphor for Riley growing up and beginning to leave those things she loved as a child behind... it hits just THAT much harder!
I can’t. 😭 this was so strong for me. I love bing bong since I have an affinity towards elephants 🐘 even tho he is a bunch of things. He was the cutest character in this movie. This scene wrecked me 😭 😢 😞
Riley had forgotten Bing Bong, and he only ever wants to see her go and live life with or without him. It's an abandonment of childhood and a metaphor for growing up and leaving others behind. Maybe that's not cry worthy to some, but people with strong empathy certainly feel the feels well up lol
Just like you I don't cry at this scene or any sad scene at a movie or TV show for that matter but that doesn't mean you don't have a heart you have heart you just don't cry is all
now i cant wait to see them cry again on inside out 2 cause that movie made me cry again they didnt loose their touch the story is amazing it well deserve in box office
I don't even speak english so good, but this scene already broke a lot of hearts, and is a shared pain. If you see to a so important character going to his end, your age don't cares, your gender neither; you just need to cry and you know it
There is something about a character that sacrifices themselves and can then continue to smile and cheer you on with genuine excitement even as they fade...
This scene with Bing Bong brought back memories of the Jennifer Walters' scene in 'She Hulk', when Bruce is trying to figure out her threshold for stress, Jen mentions Bing Bong... "Oh put on a Pixar movie"... "When Bing Bong jumps out of the wagon in Inside Out..." 😥
i almost NEVER cry when a character dies in a movie. but it’s only happened three times. one being han solo from star wars, followed by yondu from guardians of the galaxy, and then bing bong.
I definitely did not cry on the outside and still don't during this scene, but the execution was just perfection. Masterful storytelling, fantastic music, and great voice acting. Thank you Bing Bong. o7❤❤
@PixarShark I went to her TH-cam reaction video to this/that particular part and after she did the whole big crying, she explained something so beautiful about the interpretation of that scene and how one can reflect upon it with their own lives. It was such a profound and beautiful interpretation that made me cry an UGLY CRY AGAIN... 😭🥹
As soon I saw Bing bong fall I felt like I was Bing bong sacrificing for joy and joy was my mother or my mom being bing bong sacrificing her life to save me so I cried hard

Wouldn't you do that to save the one you love? Even if it meant you'd be forgotten forever? I would and I'd do it smiling
