Kevin is like batman with prep time. In real life, those two intrudes would be in the hospital with multiple broken bones.
The thing with Home Alone is when you watch it as a kid it’s effing hilarious cause it turns into Tom & Jerry slapstick, but as an adult you realise just how sadistic & bloodthirsty thus film is, how does Kevin McCallister go back to a normal life after the stuff he does to these two? What if a kid bullies him in school?
He probably pisses them off enough to where they chase him back to the house where he's rigged his yard with traps
They wouldn't DARE XD
I seem to remember a theory that Kevin eventually becomes the Jigsaw Killer.

It may look that way, but real goal was to hurt them so badly they might either give up trying to rob his house, or get them wanting revenge so badly they would follow him to the Murphy's house so the police can arrest them there.

Home Alone 1, 2, and 3 were the only movies with deadly traps while 4, 5, and 6 the traps weren't deadly enough

My mum always cringes at that nail scene.
When she and my dad were in their first house together, they were out in the back garden doing some work, and she accidentally stood on a plank of wood with a nail sticking out of it. The nail went through the bottom of her shoe, and nearly went all the way through her foot, and when she lifted her foot, the wooden plank went with it. She tried calling my dad for help, but she was in so much pain that she couldn’t speak properly.
Hilariously, while that was happening, my dad was talking to the neighbour and said he’d be over in a second without even looking back at her, the neighbour however noticed her pain and said he’d better help her out “Right Now”. That was when he turned round and realised what happened.
I don’t know what happened after that, but it’s always stuck with her. She always remembers that moment whenever she sees that scene.
I really should wait until December before watching this to get in the Christmas mood but it's too tempting
The palm of Harry's hand being burned & branded by the burning hot door knob & Marv having a nail stabbed in his foot still gets me every time

Wow, not only I enjoyed this film as a kid, I laughed at the violent scenes without wincing.
