i have the exact same blower with a weak spark, which no one on you tube ever discusses, thanks for the video you saved me a lot of time and money.hope to see more of your great videos
Well - came upon your video and it just what I was looking for. But have a question...my replacement coil for the 125B is too long just like your was...you shortened it but did not show how. What is the technique for shortening.
To test the ignition coil before you buy a new one use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the coils. To test the primary coil measure from the attachment bracket to the terminal where the cut off switch is attached, it should read about 254 ohms. To measure the secondary coil measure from the attachment bracket to the spark plug wire, should read about 4000 ohms. If the don't have a business card (.0010") to measure the flywheel gap the correct gap is .008" -.0016". To mount the coil tighten the left screw first and both screws should be torqued to 25-35 inch pounds.
can you test the module with multimeter on the unit or does it have to be removed ? and what should a good pressure test reading be? Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Outdoor Power Tech I thought I saw somewhere the coil should show resistance between like 2200 and 5000 ohms. Is that right? Have one put together just like that one, but I think mine 225b without the v. Coil looks a little different. Tore a Craftsman I had laying around apart to see if the coils would interchange. Of course they didn’t. Btw, the Craftsman was a more difficult to get to the coil.

Great video! Very easy to understand. Had my coil fixed in 20 min.

You helped me thanks brother

I am hoping the coil replacement does the trick. I also have spark and the carb is brand new. Fingers crossed!

GmGarlo you can test on the Machine. And Compression test should be around 100 to 130 psi
thats for the fast reply , testing coil with multimeter , what is a good ohms reading ?@@outdoorpowertech7738
GmGarlo around 5.00

Well done.
I thought you forgot to put the kill wire from the switch back on. I must have just missed it.
