Pink Floyd was my late husband's favorite band. He taught me that you don't just "listen" to Pink Floyd, you need to experience them. He turned the lights off, lit some candles, and turned the volume to a med-low, looked at me and said, lay back and close your eyes... it DOES make a HUGE difference. You literally get transported away.
The intro has 12 movements based on a clock (obviously) and makes you wait and contemplate , before delivering a life assessing message. Total geniuses at work. This song is part of one of the best pieces of art ever created in my opinion. Pink Floyd cover many styles and have influenced so many artists from different genres of music.
There's no way to "expect" Pink Floyd. Not sure if you're ready yet or not, but the next song on this album is The Great Gig in the Sky. Definitely expect the unexpected on that one. FYI, it's a band named after two blues guitarists, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
"Pink Floyd are deeper than the Mariana trench, smoother than a quantum stabilized atom mirror, cooler than an iceberg in a river of liquid nitrogen and more zen than 1,000 Buddhist monasteries." I tend to post this on many reaction channels. Floyd deserves to be understood and appreciated and still has so much relevance after 50 years. Great reaction! Cheers!
You are going to see a ton of comments telling you about fantastic live versions of their songs. Please listen to the studio versions first to understand what you are listening to, and then enhance that with the live version.
If your not listening to them in order it doesn't really matter at that point. On the other hand if your reviewing the album by all means. Studio versions for sure.
Absolutely. And that GENERALLY goes for most any musician's work, with a few exceptions like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Peter Frampton, or a lot of blues musicians. It's really hard to do what Pink Floyd does live, with the exception of "Echoes" live at Pompei, but that was really just an outdoor recording session.
One of the greatest bands to have ever been formed period! The entire album amongst all their albums are essentially one long song. They are more of an experience as they pull emotions and feelings that I’ve never had experienced with any other artist. There was a reason this album “Dark Side of the Moon” was on the charts for 741 weeks. Every song is worth listening too by Pink Floyd.
Definitely! Except for me Janis Joplin is the only one who has ever caught me spiritually as well as emotionally. Pink Floyd definitely gets me feeling though
I get how you were getting bored with the intro. But that intro, like many Pink Floyd songs, is intended to put you into the right headspace so you fully feel the rest of the song. I've never known anyone who hasn't dug these songs when they are able to have the patience to truly listen to them. You look confused at times because you've never heard anything like it. Nor had any of us the first time.
As a life long pink floyd fan, it was a joy to watch you discovering time. You now have to listen to the great gig in the sky for a masterful female vocal performance
I recommend "Comfortably Numb" as a great Pink Floyd song to listen to (it's my favourite). And if you want to hear more of that woman I recommend "The Great Gig in the Sky", which is the song that comes directly after this one on the album. Pink Floyd are known for having their songs blend seamlessly into one another on their albums. And the albums as a whole tell a story or are strongly themed. If you hear their songs starting or ending with transitions, that's why. It's definitely an experience listening to an entire album.
@@boshidobrownreacts It is all about the fact that "Time" is wasted on Youth as they waste some of it and then when they get older ( I am 68 years old in London) that every day gets shorter and more precious as people in your life (both Famous and your own circle of Family and Friends and acquaintances) regularly die around you. For Example,I went to see this performed in 1973 with my best mate, who died, suddenly, 8 years ago, and even The 18,000 capacity London Arena: Earls Court in West London is now Apartments so make the most of EVERY day as soon another "10 years will have gone behind you". :)
@@Isleofskye .. and to you! I'm a week away from 64 myself... can't say I "make the most" of every day, but definitely have more appreciation for the ones I have... all the best!
There’s a reason this album has been on the charts on & off for nearly 19 years. They’re also known for their long intros. Gotta see them live - Pulse concert is a great one 🔥🔥🔥I think you’ll like “Money” off of this album.
Welcome to Floyd. They are mesmerizing. You just get lost and sink in to everything they do. Any song. All songs. Back in the day when this came out, in high school several of us would and hang out at someone’s house on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Relaxing on the couch, smoking weed, and just went into a trance. Eventually you will discover the album this in from “Dark Side of the Moon” And you’ll want to listen to it in its entirety. It’s not just music. It’s a trip; and experience. I loved your initial reaction. Not thinking it was worth your time. Pink Floyd is like no other. It’s its on genre for sure. Thanks for posting. I’m glad I found your channel!
A lot of people recommending “The Great Gig in the Sky.” Great choice, but look up the meaning behind it. It will make the experience so much more profound. Although the live “Pulse” version is great…do yourself a favor and listen to the original off this album! Nothing compares to Clare Torry’s amazing voice!!!
ROFLMFAO..... MAN.. no Disrespect BUT.. YOU BEEN MISSING OUT! The Fan Base will ask you what to listen to! PINK FLOYD is very unique for their time (70's) and gen Z has no idea of the depth of thought from our past! LOVED THE REACTION!... PEACE
"Buckle up your seat Dorethy coz Kansas is about to go bye bye!" Pink Floyd Roger Waters - Bass Guitar / Vocals / Lyrics Dave Gilmour - Lead Guitar / Vocals Richard Wright - Keyboards / Vocals Nick Mason - Drums Guest vocalists including famously Claire Torry on The Great Gig in the Sky 😉
Absolutly love your trip through the beginning of the song. It often happens when listeining to Pink Floyd. Gotta get threw some weed music to get to the guts. Glad you did. Watch your face at 3:48. You right then got the Pink Floyd trip. Glad you got it.
You can’t go wrong with any Pink Floyd song. They are iconic. I have requested breathe, Time, and great gig in the sky be played at my funeral. They fill my soul.
You like when the bring the soul? "The Great Gig in the Sky" also from the album Dark Side of the Moon. Soul on soul with a side of soul, and a big ol' glass of soul to drink.
This genre of music is called "Progressive" - it will embrace any instrument or combinations of styles to emotionally drive the music. Pink Floyd is a band comprised of 4 guys - guitarist - bassist - drums - keyboards. Beyond that they will hire backup singers and players if needs be. If you think the vocals in this got soul, Try listening to "Great Gig in The Sky" on this same Pink Floyd Album. You are gonna get a small army of Floyd Fans telling you to listen to the albums in their entirety cause they really are a united theme, and they would be correct. But for now, you don't quit realize the door you've just opened and crazy great stuff you're about to hear for the first time. I really wish I was you, hearing this stuff for the first time. Enjoy!
This album was on the Hot 100 charts from the year I was born until I was 15 years old. If that doesn’t say something…And…an entire album!! Also their albums are continuous and tell a story through the entire album. They are concept albums.
Once you are done reacting to all the individual songs on Dark Side Of The Moon. Please listen to the whole album in it’s entirety ❤The albums they make are supposed to be listened to in one shot.. They are actual works of Art 🌈 All their albums tell a story.
Wonderful Group and I saw this, with 18,000 others in West London, debuted, in 1973 with a plane overhead in an INDOOR Arena. Ticket Cost? £1 or $1.34 LOLHOWEVER: There is no contest as The Beatles changed the whole WORLD NOT just "The World Of Music" with their 230 songs and were the first to play in a stadium. Sold twice as many LPs and Singles as the next 2 Ar=erists combined(Elvis/Michael Jackson" and 500,000 turned up at the Airport and en route to greet them in Australia. They were HUGE, My Friend.😇
@@Isleofskye The Beetles changed nothing. George Martin changed Pop music and made it cool and acceptable.... the Beetles were merely his vehicle. As for rock...... the worlds worst ever blues band couldn’t write or create blues, so they started to write rubbish rock that quickly became radio acceptable pop...... young girls from 8 to 14 yo made them big, boys had to pretend to like them or be lonely. Martin made their pop acceptable to older women and then men..... before the music industry and pop radio disc jockeys conned the world for massive kick backs. Meanwhile..... many great rock and blues groups were blocked from radio AirPlay. Pink Floyd are not rock, but cover all known musical genres that are popular in the west, and cover those genres with aplomb.... unlike the Beetles, they can actually play..... Ringo excepted, he could play.
Pink Floyd is a deep rabbit hole filled with adventure and deep feelings. The real experience is best live, the 1994 Pulse concert a great starting point. HOWEVER..... You have heard Time alone, by itself. Needs to be heard together with The Great Gig in The Sky..... A song without words and is the only PF song to be better on record than live. The Great Gig will enter your soul and give you feelings you will never forget. Is about Time running out.....Death. The 5 stages of death from denial to quiet acceptance..... without words, it is brilliantly crafted. From the Pulse concert I recommend Comfortably Numb and Sorrow, and then every other number. lol Then I recommend you experience Live in Pompeii from 1973.... the original video. The later one is great too, but not really Pink Floyd and not the Meddle version. Also..... for The Great Gig in The Sky it is important you view the original recording .... not any digital remastered version. All the remastered rubbish changes the tone and atmosphere of the music. Also cuts off the brilliant last few breathy soft notes of death itself.
@@Rassskle It is pointless communicating with someone in complete denial because in a NORMAL conversation you or I could present a series of FACTS to back up their viewpoint and then we could, eventually, come to some compromise or agreement but I can see from the above that would be impossible with you.. So a question for you then. I have just Googled the following: "Half a century after their breakup, The Beatles are still the BIGGEST ROCK BAND OF 2020, shifting 1.094 million album-equivalent units through the first six months of the year, 326,000 units ahead of the genre's second-place finisher, Queen.". So long after the great George Martin and those Young Girls and Boys are now Pensioners, how come 50 years after their break up are they not only STILL the Top selling of all time but actually in 2020 itself??? I am EAGERLY looking forwarrd to how you get out of that onebut you will just return to the obscurity that you richly deserve so how come then Kent?
Pink Floyd is a genre all their own. I hope you keep up with them because their music is beautiful and epic. Also, Pink Floyd usually has long intros and antsy people don't always have the patience for it.
All their stuff is top quality including: Money; One Of These Days; Echoes (Live); Run Like Hell (Live); High Hopes (Live); Pigs; Shine On You Crazy Diamond; Julia Dream; Welcome To The Machine; Dogs; Sheep; Comfortably Numb (live); Have A Cigar; Saucerful Of Secrets (Live); Hey You; The Final Cut; Not Now John; Mother; Us And Them; Great Gig In the Sky; Wish You Were Here; Young Lust; and Embryo. That's a good start.
Oh wait, before the Shine On You Crazy Diamond tracks, you gotta check out the Pink Floyd song that comes after the song "Time" on the album. The name of the song is "The Great Gig In The Sky" and you gotta do the studio version (the picture of the triangle and rainbow will be there) so you can hear how it sounds on the original album......excellent reaction, I mean really.
Every song on this album slaps. Time. Great Gig in the Sky. Us and Them. Any Color You Like. You're gonna love them all. Then, you got to check out the rest of their catalog. It's all good.
Pink Floyd are WORLD RECORD Holders as this LP was the longest ever in any Chart as it was in The USA Billboard Chart for over 14 successive YEARS or SEVEN HUNDRED AND 36 WEEKS in the Top of THe Billboard Charts. The Guitarist: David Gilmour recently sold his guitar for $21 MILLION DOLLARS..lol Please learn the Art of Patience,My Friend..
This track transitions directly into what could be the deepest dive into the emotions surrounding Death you will ever hear! "The Great Gig in the Sky" Or if you want something a little more cheerful "Money" the audio album version NOT the official video which is a cut down radio version 😉
Echos from the Meddle album. Or for more of the female vocalist "The great gig in the sky" from the dark side of the moon album. "Wish you were here" from the album of the same name. "Pigs(three different ones) From the animals album. "High Hopes" from the division bell album, just to name a few!
Pink Floyd, imo, are the GOAT. David Gilmour does all the guitar work, barring a one off here and there, and sings the verses on this track. Again, the GOAT imo. Next track you listen to be should Comfortably Numb then Money. Do the studio versions first because their production is off the charts. Live versions are must hear/see later. If you stick with them, you'll understand why I said see as far as their live stuff goes. Anyway, great reaction, man. This was up there with most entertaining and real reactions I've seen. Keep up with Floyd and I'm along for the ride. About to subscribe.
If you were intrigued by the female backing vocals, make sure you listen to “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones. Merry Clayton is the female backing vocalist and she kills it!! Look her name up on TH-cam, there’s a clip about her recording this with Mick Jagger. In fact, in the studio version of the song, you can hear him shout “yeah!” when Merry hits that high note at the end!
50 year anniversary of DSOTM. Still the best album of all time. If this album was released today, todays artist and new generation be blown away and be getting all sorts of grammys every year. they never heard album like this before. Still on top 100 billboard.
Pink Floyd uses back-up singers, (mostly women), live and in the studio. Check out "Comfortably Numb" studio version, first,... then do "Comfortably Numb" live from Pink Floyds 1994 Pulse Concert, you'll be glad you did. The Pulse version is possibly the best guitar performance ever recorded, with a dramatic crescendo ending! David Gilmour at his best! Pink Floyd is Legendary man, they are an Experience. Pink Floyd formed in London in 1964, they've sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide, they are one of the GOAT's in Rock history! Yeah, they're a Rock band, but their sub-category is Progressive Rock, a Psychedelic sound, spacey and galactic sounding. This song, "Time", is on their iconic 1973 "Dark Side of the Moon" album, it has sold over 50 million copies to date, and still counting!
There will never be another band like Pink Floyd. I’d love to hear someone play Great Gig right after Time like on the album. Better yet album beginning to end. Comfortably Numb would be another hit. Or Another Brick in the Wall. Just pick any song..hard to find a bad song! Just start down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole!👍 You won’t be disappointed.
Great reaction, Mr. B. Another Pink Floyd track that is outta sight is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)" and then "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-IX)" Long tracks but a journey I promise.
Pink Floyd has a massive catalog that will surprise you and it never disappoints!!! 👌Enjoy the ride!!! 👍Other mind blowing Rock bands with incredible Guitar work include: Rush, Queen, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, James Gang, Eric Clapton , Grateful Dead. There are many many more and As I said These will blow your mind!!!!👌👍✌️😁

As someone who has literally been listening to Pink Floyd my whole life, I think Time is their masterpiece. It's the only song I've ever heard that hit me different at 15 than 25. Then hit me different at 25 than 35. Then hit me profoundly different at 45 than 35. The song is just as relevant today as it was 40 years ago. It will be as relevant in 140 years as it is today. I'm not even sure calling it a masterpiece does it justice.
I recommend Pink Floyd’s “Shine on you Crazy Diamond”! Because you said you love the guitar! I loved your reaction to Time. So genuine! If you like the blues you’ll like Shine On.

Pink Floyd is a group founded in the mid 60's. Original members Syd Barret, but later left due to his mental state from doing LSD binges. Roger Waters, songwriter, bassist, singer. Richard Wright keyboard, singer. Nick Mason drummer. And David Gilmour incredible solos on guitar and singer. Pink Floyd was named after 2 Blues artists "Pink" Anderson (1900 to 1974) and Floyd Council (1911 to 1976) You can still find some of their songs on youtube. BTW, you have now been Floyded. Welcome to the Pink Floyd fan club
LATE COMMENT: You don't just listen to Pink Floyd, you experience it. My first ex-wife was a bit younger than me, and I introduced her to Pink Floyd. The first time she heard Time, she freaked a bit because she had a "thing" for loud bells. This is one of their greatest songs, but it's just the tip of the iceberg. Listen to the entire album of Dark Side of the Moon non-stop and kick back. The songs literally melt into each other which heightens the experience.
Dude. New sub 😎👍 I'm pretty sure you've just unwittingly started on a life changing journey. Pink Floyd has done it to millions of us already. You gotta hear Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
If you want to experience 'Pink Floyd' Dark Side of the Moon the way it was intended to be listened to, you MUST do it in it's entirety...!! Can can edit in Four or Five parts as there are some short tracks at the beginning. Trust me on this. Each track flows into the next which makes it a mind blowing experience..!!! You will see why they are considered the G.O.A.T.S. 'Welcome to the Machine'...!!! New sub. Peace
"Childhood's End" by them is overlooked often but great in my opinion. You're going to experience a roller coaster of emotions with this band. Expect the unexpected. It's an awesome ride. I hope everyone is having a great week. -Amber

The group Pink Floyd was formed in London in 1965. They came up with the name in recognition of 2 Black American southern blues musicians: PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council.
Pink Floyd was formed in 1965... their (most likely) last album was "The Endless River" in 2014. PF had 15 studio albums... 3 live albums, 9 compilation albums not to mention multiple live dvds and solo albums performed by below members of the band. Syd Barrett (short-lived founder; guitar plus) the originator and quirky eccentric; inevitably the consequential muse. * January 6, 1946 (rip 2006) Roger Waters (bass) was the cultivator (seed sower), the lyrically conceptual prodigy, secondary vocal and co-maestro of songwriting * September 6, 1943 (age 79 years) David Gilmour (guitar) was the placidity, guitar virtuoso, the silky smooth voice and co-maestro; the equilibrium. * March 6, 1946 (age 76 years) Richard Wright (keyboards) was the essential underlying symmetry; musical nurturer. Occasional singer. * July 28, 1943 (rip 2008) Nick Mason (drums) was the heartbeat, structure and foundation; the sole member involved from the emergence of PF to the last recording. * January 27, 1944 (age 78 years) FYI: The following Pink Floyd albums are Concept Albums (all songs together tell a complete story)... Dark Side Of The Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979). The Final Cut (1983) is ify, as it was the last album with Roger Waters being in the band - leaving in 1985. *search on Wiki the album title to get the story behind the concept. Honestly this is the ONLY album ..dark side of the moon ..that if you had 1 album to pick for life to listen too ...this is it ! The whole album is a masterpiece.
I bought my first Pink Floyd album in 1969 (Ummagumma) and saw them live in 1971 and 4 more times after that. For me This is the BEST band of all times. Now I'm 71 years old and still listen to them everyday.
Prepare yourself for greatness. This is my birthday song. Hits different every year. This is actually a concept album. It’s meant to be experienced as a whole. Preferably blunted. Then after you’ve had your mind blown you can graduate to The Wall. The greatest concept record of all time. Then watch the film. You Pink Floyd makes you wait in anticipation before hitting you with that truth. Welcome to the machine. It’s a hell of a ride.
And LATER just when you think your getting a handle Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part 1) live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics and a Dave Gilmour with No Shirt 😂 A little song about all life on the entire planet and how we should be better human beings 😉
Yes I love someone experiencing Floyd for the first time. Think of this 50 yrs ago@@@ My 60 yrs here would not be the same. The masters Best you are doin the album version hear it like we did!!!! Cheers
The entire album is one song really and must be listened to at once, same with the next 3 albums, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall...do what we did back in to 70's, find a comfy spot, order a few pizzas, have some beer and light up a few joints.
Be prepared to gain a shit-ton of subs if you continue down this rabbit hole. We Floydians are a rabid crowd. So glad you stuck with this tune to experience the genius of this band. It only gets better from here! Cheers!
And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you. Then another ten, then another. If you're lucky. Getting old is a bitch, but it's better than the alternative.
The whole album is amazing. As for hits... "Money", "Shine on you crazy diamond", "When the Tigers broke Free", "Several species of Small Furry Animals Gathered together and n a cave and grooving with a Pict." , "Dogs" , "Pig's on the Wing " " good bye blue sky " ..... They HAVE MANY great songs.
Pink Floyd was my late husband's favorite band. He taught me that you don't just "listen" to Pink Floyd, you need to experience them. Do that same thing with a hit of lsd or some shrooms and you’re in for a good time.

They're named after their two fav. black American blues singers. They're a real mix.
This is an amazing album of one of the greatest bands ever.
I am one to agree to this request. Straight up
You love the background singers, you won’t regret it

"Pink Floyd are deeper than the Mariana trench, smoother than a quantum stabilized atom mirror, cooler than an iceberg in a river of liquid nitrogen and more zen than 1,000 Buddhist monasteries." I tend to post this on many reaction channels. Floyd deserves to be understood and appreciated and still has so much relevance after 50 years. Great reaction! Cheers!

You are going to see a ton of comments telling you about fantastic live versions of their songs. Please listen to the studio versions first to understand what you are listening to, and then enhance that with the live version.
Absolutely agree with this comment!
Agreed
If your not listening to them in order it doesn't really matter at that point. On the other hand if your reviewing the album by all means. Studio versions for sure.
Agreed 100%
Its amusing watching you get impatient listening to a song about time.
I thought it was some bs! 🤣

Great gig in the sky, or comfortably numb (concert version)
There’s a reason this album has been on the charts on & off for nearly 19 years. They’re also known for their long intros. Gotta see them live - Pulse concert is a great one 🔥🔥🔥I think you’ll like “Money” off of this album.
Always have the lyrics when listening to Pink Floyd.
Once you listen to more pink floyd you will never look back. ❤
Yes, "The Great Gig in the Sky". 1994 Pulse concert, is the one to react to.
@@mitchellmunden682 The Pulse version is good, but not as good as the original Clare Torry recording on the album.
PEACE
Pink Floyd has Money - - It's another tune on this album.
"Buckle up your seat Dorethy coz Kansas is about to go bye bye!"
Pink Floyd
Roger Waters - Bass Guitar / Vocals / Lyrics
Dave Gilmour - Lead Guitar / Vocals
Richard Wright - Keyboards / Vocals
Nick Mason - Drums
Guest vocalists including famously Claire Torry on The Great Gig in the Sky 😉
Absolutly love your trip through the beginning of the song. It often happens when listeining to Pink Floyd. Gotta get threw some weed music to get to the guts. Glad you did. Watch your face at 3:48. You right then got the Pink Floyd trip. Glad you got it.
If you like that background singing check out 'The Great Gig In The Sky', it will tear you apart!
Quite possibly the best rock LP to ever be created! The guitar solos are so fkn phenomenal!!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of Pink Floyd. You are listing to the real deal. Love your reaction.
Dark Side of the Moon is worth listening to start to finish. All of the songs lead into the next.
Enjoy!
Pink Floyd is Legendary! I also recommend The Wall, Money, Comfortably Numb, Mother for starters. Great rabbit hole to go down. Thanks & subscribed! 😊
Beanbag chairs and lava lamps! 🤣🤣🤣😁✌️❤️🔥🎶💯
This album was on the Hot 100 charts from the year I was born until I was 15 years old. If that doesn’t say something…And…an entire album!! Also their albums are continuous and tell a story through the entire album. They are concept albums.
If you like the female background singer, check out their song "The Great Gig in the Sky". It will change your life.
Once you are done reacting to all the individual songs on Dark Side Of The Moon. Please listen to the whole album in it’s entirety ❤The albums they make are supposed to be listened to in one shot.. They are actual works of Art 🌈 All their albums tell a story.
GO FOR IT!! You wont regret it! Greatest and most influential band of all time! Such a cool reaction!
From the Pulse concert I recommend Comfortably Numb and Sorrow, and then every other number. lol
Then I recommend you experience Live in Pompeii from 1973.... the original video.
KENT. KENT are you there, mi amigo?
What say you?
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Pink Floyd. Come join us all in the wonderland that is their music, my friend.
Pink Floyd is a genre all their own. I hope you keep up with them because their music is beautiful and epic. Also, Pink Floyd usually has long intros and antsy people don't always have the patience for it.
You've just entered a wonderous deep rabbit hole with Pink Floyd.
- PINK FLOYD: AMAZING, GREAT, MESMERIZING, TALENTED, IMAGINATIVE, and MUCH MUCH MORE!...
- Keep listening; you can't go wrong :) ...
Possibly the Greatest Band of All Time - You may disagree but they are in the argument....trust me.....been a Floydian since 1974
Pink Floyd named their band after two black American bluesman named Pink Anderson and Floyd Council
The Guitarist: David Gilmour recently sold his guitar for $21 MILLION DOLLARS..lol
Please learn the Art of Patience,My Friend..
They took their name from Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. Two Blues Musicians.
Great Gig in the Sky. Featuring the lovely background singers!!
This track transitions directly into what could be the deepest dive into the emotions surrounding Death you will ever hear!
"The Great Gig in the Sky"
Or if you want something a little more cheerful
"Money" the audio album version NOT the official video which is a cut down radio version 😉
Echos from the Meddle album. Or for more of the female vocalist "The great gig in the sky" from the dark side of the moon album. "Wish you were here" from the album of the same name. "Pigs(three different ones) From the animals album. "High Hopes" from the division bell album, just to name a few!
It's not rock it's art.
Since you're tuning in on the soul singing, go to Pink Floyd's song from the same album called The Great Gig In The Sky. It's nothing but that!
There is a basic rule in music. Do not interrupt Mr. Gilmour when he´s playing his guitar.
Welcome to the journey of pink Floyd hop on the roller-coaster of emotions . 777 comfortably numb is a must of pink Floyd
The rabbit hole is right there!!! Do you dare to enter?
The background singers were sent from above.. And Pink Floyd has long intros to put you in the mood they want you in
It's great seeing people listening and discovering pink Floyd.
Great reaction! I think SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND will sufficiently HOOK you. Keep going, greatest band of all time.
Don't forget the second half of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
50 year anniversary of DSOTM. Still the best album of all time. If this album was released today, todays artist and new generation be blown away and be getting all sorts of grammys every year. they never heard album like this before. Still on top 100 billboard.
From my 1st album. Age 7. Please don't do the math. Lol classic
Two songs that are more rock - Run Like Hell and Young Lust.
Everything floyd is GOLD, keep going down the rabbit hole, it goes deep, very deep. 50 years of music
Listen to “Dogs”, “Pigs (3 different ones)”, and “Sheep” from their album “Animals”. Make sure you’ve got awesome headphones on those ears. 🤯

Yes. The difference between 18 year old me hearing this song is waaaaayyyy differnt than 54 year old me. Not worse, but it hits way harder.

* January 6, 1946 (rip 2006)
Roger Waters (bass) was the cultivator (seed sower), the lyrically conceptual prodigy, secondary vocal and co-maestro of songwriting * September 6, 1943 (age 79 years)
David Gilmour (guitar) was the placidity, guitar virtuoso, the silky smooth voice and co-maestro; the equilibrium. * March 6, 1946 (age 76 years)
Richard Wright (keyboards) was the essential underlying symmetry; musical nurturer. Occasional singer. * July 28, 1943 (rip 2008)
Nick Mason (drums) was the heartbeat, structure and foundation; the sole member involved from the emergence of PF to the last recording. * January 27, 1944 (age 78 years)
FYI: The following Pink Floyd albums are Concept Albums (all songs together tell a complete story)...

If you like Pink Floyd as much as it seems, sadly there is only ONE WAY you're going to see their music "live" in concert 2022+ other than an older dvd (or maybe Waters or Gilmour solo in concert; both in their late 70's)... more importantly is hearing the songs done exacting to the studio albums... adding a very good example of the "live" light show! That band is called >>> "Brit Floyd" = th-cam.com/video/RnHu3D8stGE/w-d-xo.html (2.5 hours of the best of PF) ~ Gilmour, Mason and Wright have said, "If they themselves wanted to see PF live, the only way that could ever happen is to go see these guys." - I'm saw them June 17, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ!! \m/

By far my most favorite reaction to Floyd. You are in for a life changing experience with Great Big Gig...
And LATER just when you think your getting a handle

The entire album is one song really and must be listened to at once, same with the next 3 albums, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall...do what we did back in to 70's, find a comfy spot, order a few pizzas, have some beer and light up a few joints.
Hell yeah! I do that myself when I vibe out to them, Janis Joplin and Eminem 😆 All 3 are my all-time top favorite artists.
Pink Floyd is a journey! They will take you to new places. I would suggest "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" , it's long but brilliant.
Be prepared to gain a shit-ton of subs if you continue down this rabbit hole. We Floydians are a rabid crowd. So glad you stuck with this tune to experience the genius of this band. It only gets better from here!
