Watching you work in such a cramped space is making me glad I welded up a rotisserie to use . Done as much as I can on my 70 and 76 roadster with out mounting so as to keep them moveable on wheel casters in my limited space. Working on a new to me tractor in my shop to use for snow removal before I can get back to the Bs. The music is a little hard on these 73 year old ears but do as you will, I can always turn down the volume. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to many others. Thank you for your comment. A rotisserie really would be a good purchase and yes a few people have mentioned the music. I won’t put that stuff in from now on.
You are doing a spectacular job and it brought back fond memories for me totally rebuilding an MG Midget on Ascension Island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean in the 80s. I borrowed a MIG welder from NASA and the RAF and USAF delivered the body panels and parts for me from the UK and USA! I opted to cut out the entire floors, inner sills and outer sills whole and weld in entire replacement panels. Watching you patch I think it was actually easier doing it whole to be honest. I shipped the finished car to the Caribbean and sold it when I left. I since learned it was totalled by a big lorry a few years later. Great memories though mate. Good luck with the rest of it. Excellent job so far. ❤ Oh and my registration was A1 as it was the first car to be registered on Ascension Island!! 😂
Great video 👍 The repairs are well thought out and executed, patch to as close to an edge as possible makes it easier. I should have said something earlier have a fire extinguisher or hose plan ready as a car fire however big or small is bloody terrifying .
1:50 my understanding is that one paints POR15 directly onto rusty metal. But here you have already removed the rust and primed the metal. Will the POR15 adhere properly, and have a beneficial function?
What do you think of the blue finger file belt sander, some seem to think they are not as good as the ones that have the motor on the side but I'm impressed with the one you have, been thinking about getting one myself.
Do you use a gas shielded mig ? I ask why is because I have loads of welding gear but don't really use it. I bought a load of tools because it was a way of reducing my income tax bill . I've retired now and have several migs standing . I want to start welding my old van up and i just wondered if it was worth getting the gas . Cheers
I meant to say in the last video, your music selection is awesome.
This is a labour of love. I admire your tenacity to see it through.
Thanks! There’s moments where that vanishes 😂

Once that primer went on the whole inner wing section looked just like a factory job , exc excellent work as ever ,
Thank you!! Paint makes everything look better 😂

It definitely did it’s job didn’t it!
Nice to see someone weld with a gassless mig and getting good welds.

Just don’t do it driver until it gets too bad then do it. Thanks thanks for watching.

Yes you’re right! My thought process was it’s very hard paint that should protect it and I already had some on the shelf 😂
Don’t use por 15 check videos on how it cracks letting moisture sit in behind the coating plus condensation
love your passion for this car i always sneakily liked b/gt,s especially the chrome bumpered v8,s a webasto an the rover v8 what can be better ??
Thank you! I agree there’s just something about them!
Doing well mate.
Cheers mate!!
New blue belt sander? Did the old orange one finally give up on you? It certainly looks a useful tool 👍
It did unfortunately! I definitely got my use out of it! It got hammered 😂 the new one isn’t as good. I think I will be buying another new one soon!
I cant believe most of that damage was done by the last owner in 6 years.A lot must have been done before he owned it.
Oh yes there were things hidden that we didn’t know about! But it looks a really nice car back then just wasn’t underneath!
Lots of hard work there mate. Well done! What gas u using on your MIG ?
It’s a gasless mig, hence the flux coming to the surface 👍🏻 thanks!!
Nice job, what do you use to treat rust pitting that you can’t grind out?
I try and grind it all out! But I have por15 rust treatment I use if I can’t get it all 👍🏻

I think I’ve just replied to you on a different video. They’re definitely not as good as the ones with the motor on the side thanks for watching.
