Thanks again for taking my dads car, hopefully you can restore it.I have great memories of my dad blasting Paul Simon and Sultans of Swing on full blast.Fingers crossed it gets back on the road.Huge thanks to you and M Symonds 👍
The B1800 cc engine is a good one the only trouble I had in my younger days was the head they can crack on the valve seat got a s/hand one and it was the same.
I have two MGBs sitting just as that one has that both need the same action. Both were running when parked. My best of the two seems to have the clutch stuck together so I need to get the wheels off the ground to attempt a start.
This vid, and the next episode, are a brilliant step by step guide to bringing an old car back to life! Excellent engineering skills, I look forward to watching the restoration of this MG, hopefully that's the plan. Would like to see you do an MG Midget too.
Amazing really - good old rugged cast-iron engineering with that quiet ' tick-over ' and the radio was the gilding on the lilley !.I know of a pristine black late model with the black ' plastic ' bumpers and it looks really ' sharp ' and always attracts plenty of attention. She deserves to live again but get the Wolseley done first !.Great content .
Joys of a ‘B’ series engine, same as the old ‘A’ series. As long as they have oil and petrol , they’ll run. Might pump half the oil out the exhaust but they’re damn near immortal. 😂😂😂
Oh, this is going to be good! Is it a prototype LDT weapon? But that’s better on two wheels (sometimes..). Looking out for future videos on this one. Thanks. Les

Good job, quite incredible how these old abandoned vehicles spring back to life.

Lovely cars . Only downside British leyland build quality and lack of rust proofing
totally awesome video. Nice, Thanks!
Great vid. You're a brave man. I'll be interested to see how much the rust has got to it.
Nothing more English than starting an old MGB and the first song to play is Oasis! 😂
I love these cars. I've always wanted one there better with the earlier chrome bumpers ❤
Probably the worst job in the car world is getting twin carbs correct.
You have the same seats as my 78 Mini!

You might have to gap the plugs to 35 thou, they were known to run on after switched off.
British cars are the best!
Very nice! What are your plans for it now?
Good question! I think I need to get it over the pit and make a proper assessment of how bad it is.
WOW!
Didn't see you check the oil lol 🤔
Don't worry, I did! Forgot to film that bit.
Good old B Series Engine.
Everyone's wondering why it got parked in the first place. Rust and the cost of fixing it?
Ill health from what I understand, then just got forgotten sadly.
My dad had it restored a while back 2009? Ish, but unfortunately my dad was very poorly.Im just glad its being looked after.
Nice job.now you’ll be able to drive it to the scrapyard!
That's a very late model GT.
Did you ask your wife first this time?
It took some persuasion!

Now there's an idea!
...that your wife will agree to?@@whatsintheworkshop4478
Did he heck! 😂
