I did have a problem with this with my old Civic where I went to Monroe or had Monroe installed I can't remember now.... And they were not using metric fasteners.... At least that's what a Honda tech told me. When I finally replaced them again with metric based aftermarket components, I no longer heard the sound.
My Toyota Rav 4 had same problem I change the whole front suspension and it still continue only on the right side , so it turns out the strut needed to be tightened that’s all 😊
My buick started making that sound after i replaced the tie rods. I bounced the car up and down with the hood open and noticed that the shock was moving. Same thing. It just needed to be tightened.
You kidding me been chasing this issue for a couple of months in my audi, changed new Tyre, wheel alignment, balancing and wheel bearing, now changed end links. Will check the struts
could be that or some other bushings in the front suspension. jack it up on both sides and started pushing/prying. recently did control arm bushings for clunking noises, also needed sway bar bushings, and today did strut mounts. i’m at 180k miles though
Pretty wicked cool that you make the effort to get such incredible video two thumbs up for the illuminated GoPro bravo

Both of the Toyota brand strut mount, and strut were replaced. The problem was the new strut was defective.
Just had my rear shocks on my challenger replaced and both sound like this. Midas put shitty aftermarket ones on
Bad struts, internal weld guide failure@@markfromtinder9616
I've had this happen to two pairs of new struts already!!!
@@markfromtinder9616made in China!

I have replaced every component in my suspension (2012 Kia optima LX) and I still here a clunking. Have no clue what it is and no shop can diagnose it

Replaced my front struts and still had a noise problem 😮probably was it.
My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee started doing this, I have 100k miles so I think is time to change the struts
In my case it was the the new rear strut itself was bad. The strut mount was OK. .
Just spray some AT 205 reseal on it
if its that bad u shld be able to pull on the strut coils back and forth, while the car is off ground?no
Strut mount might just need tightening. That’s what was wrong with mine. It started to clunk after a while while not even hiring bumps.
can It be tighten without dismantling the strut?
It was done according to the Macanick that worked on my car without taking it off. From the top under the hood.
@@cynthiajordan7511it's spelled "mechanic" jsyk
Can you try to just tighten thst ?
Is it the click? Because my car has the same issue when accelerating from a stop. Im thinking about changing my mounts if thats the case

My Toyota Camry 2019 it started making the same noise maybe is the strut or shock ..
Hi @moncesoto3271 I have a 2018 Camry and I am curious what finally happened with your vehicle
My struts are new. Every bump it knocks and creaks
Might be bad struts
When changing suspension system.Three ...Struts, sway bar and strut mount!
I had problems with Ute things to this video I have realized this is the problem what's causing the noise
My noise was in the rear. The new rear strut was bad and making the noise.
i hear same sound when i go over the port hole very slow .is its mount issue or strut.??
Front or Rear?

Pillow ball just buy top pillow ball camber mount
does it also feels vibration in steering ?
Turned out to be bad strut. Strut mount was OK.
I changed strut on mines and it’s still doing the same noise
@@southsideBaby4u2 Defective new strut perhaps.
@@southsideBaby4u2 check your control arm bushings, balljoints and tie rod
