I wouldn't shave my nutts for anything, or trim anywhere else down there either. All natural for me and my partners love it too. Leave your hair where it belongs. You'd be surprised how sexy it used to be when everyone didn't shave down there. No one had a problem then, so why invent one?

I'm just going to buy my first bike outright . That will give me plenty of time to research and look around and get exactly what I want without the hassle and the interest . I only need like twelve grand and so far I'm at 2.50 cents but my wife wants a candy bar so I guess I'm back to zero.

As someone who used to be in car sales I can honestly say that 80% of the time a pushy salesman is not the salesman talking but the business or finance manager. Salesmen are essentially paid filters. You come in with a list of criteria and with our product knowledge we point you in the right direction. There's always some that think they're silver tongued devil's but in my experience it's the business or finance manager talking through them like a puppet 80% of the time. Most salesmen have an interest in what they're selling - people buy from people-but most managers only care about the salary and bottom line.

They usually have low miles and you can get it for close to half the price the person paid at the dealership. I bought a low milage 2 year old Moto Guzzi V7iii a couple years ago for half of what the original owner paid for it. I kept that bike a year then sold it for what I bought it for.

I would have added avoid/beware of destination charges, documentation fees, assembly fees and other dealer fees. Bikes are usually listed at MSRP (or now a days MSRP +), but that is not the out the door price at most dealers (excluding taxes, which unfortunately are unavoidable, like death). This can add up to a couple of thousand pesos. No buenos. Some dealers wont charge and others will waive with persistence. I personally avoid any dealer that is firm on fees. I have a great story on patience (funny the same story has a twist of lack of patience).

In WV full coverage on a 1000cc supersport on a one vehicle policy is around 500 dollars with a 1000 dollar deductible. If you finance through a bank full coverage is necessary. If you have a Yamaha card you can get away with liability at first. I buy new machines in winter and keep them out up till riding season and start collecting add-ons. I never put add-ons that mess with tuning until around 1500 miles and its broke in.

Finance it and make sure it’s an open term contract.
Pay the loan off after right away in full. That will help credit a lot , and you won’t be paying any interest either that way. But will still show as you taking out a loan for X amount and paying it in full early.

I'm wanting to buy a 2024 Eliminator SE and was thinking about getting it in the next few days (Dec 9 2023). Since the model year isn't even here yet, I thought maybe waiting till January, then the bike would be in it's production year, instead of earlier. If I bought on December 31 2023 after the Christmas crowd, but before the new year, would that deal be any better than January 31 2024, when folks aren't buying bikes? It won't be old stock because the model year will still be current for another year.
I know the video suggests not to buy new, but I'm 60 and I know I don't want to upgrade later, make any repairs and I know I want the Eliminator and I do not intend on changing it out later. I want new because it will be my forever bike. Every month I wait, I save $300 more to put down, but then again I am 60 and I don't have a lot of time to wait.

  • @phoenix3166

@9:01 - I have to disagree, I know...surprise, huh? During the off-season is when people are buying for "good deals". The more people buying the less "good deals" you find. Sure, you can find those junkers at great bargains, but a nice bike will be sold toward the end of the season at the best prices. This "off-season" myth is one of those myths that's been debunked long ago. The best time to find a bike for the best deal is toward the end of the season, but still in the season. This way, people are thinking they'll be stuck with their bikes for the off-season, so they're more likely to bargain with you. If you wait until the season is over, then all the people looking to cash in on the "good deals" for end of year bikes will be flocking to the dealerships to buy their next bike. There's a reason why you can go into a dealership in October and find hardly any bikes sitting on the floor.

Honda Finance and Yamaha Finance are by far the best to finance a bike through and they tend to also have the best rates on part or better than the banks... though tangentially.. I nearly got a svitpilen 401 on a 3 year 0.99% APR because they wanted to get rid of it... and that would have been a great deal if I wanted the bike or was a svartpilen.

Only thing I think is bullshit is skipping wheel and tire. I pick up at least two nails a year. Especially if you live in a city that’s constantly under construction it’s the way to go. That $500 pays for itself after the first tire change. If you live in the middle of the desert or don’t do at least 5k miles a year. You can skip it.
