Ok, let me give out some information about us kids that enjoy makeup. I have never met someone around 11 or 12, that has ever said "I wear makeup because I'm not beautiful." We do it for fun, learn new things, have fun with new looks, also why is the guy there giving information about mascara, he's like " bottom lashes aren't till sweet 16" even the makeup artist doesn't know what she is doing or talking about. And to say "Just a bit of c0ntour, Because it's the latest a Trend , and only a bit because we don't want her ending up looking like a Kardashian." I absolutely HATE when adults or friends who can't wear makeup yet tell me I shouldn't be wearing makeup. They say I'm too young and I'm already beautiful... shut up, like seriously. Hello Caylin! My name is Pricilla & im 13 years old,but I wear a full face of makeup. Such as foundation,eyeshadow,liquid eyeliner,mascara,blush,bronzer,& everything in between. My suggestion is that you want to start slow,I started wearing makeup when I was around 10-11 years old but I only started with a few things (brow pencil,eyeliner,mascara,& face powder) I did it to mainly see the effects that it causes on my skin. Such as acne,redness,irritation,etc. If you want to start out with bb cream than go right ahead,then slowly move to foundation if that is your choice. I hate how they were completely judging the girl in the video and saying pretty rude comments about her makeup. Why do you have to bring someone else down to make you feel better? I understand you don't want your kids to wear too much, but telling others that they can't do what they want with makeup and making fun of them for it is completely wrong. This child is going to grow up thinking it's ok to judge someone and think that she is better for wearing natural makeup. Some girls use lots of makeup to have fun and experiment and for you to tell them what they can and can't do is putting a limit on their creativity. It's completely fine to let your child explore and experiment with makeup so that they can decide what they like best. It's okay to have a different opinion, but it crosses the line when you bring someone's self esteem down and tell the world that your children should look like this one. Yes, I TOTALLY agree. A lot of these adults are limiting children at a really strange age. Makeup is to branch out to what makes your individual beauty shine. I personally think that it is the THEIR decision to wear makeup or not, not the parents, because these children live in a COMPLETELY different generation and society where things like "trends" are definitely not the same as they used to be.

Why do adults always jump to conclusions so fast? The video at the start was of a 17 year old girl, hardly a tween, and she is shown 'baking' her face in the video which is then brushed off the face later on. If makeup is what makes a girl happy then let her do her! I hate how these close minded adults are saying that tweets 'need' a bb cream and not a full coverage foundation and 'lets see how you apply bronzer "on a tween"' like there is a specific method that must be followed for all girls of that age group. Let young girls experiment and express themselves how they want to and when they want to even if they go a bit over the top at first, everyone has to go through this stage at some point. This is just terrible! The whole idea behind makeup was just lost in this video. What people like these think is that makeup is so that kids can make themselves prettier. I'm eleven years old in grade six and each day I wear a full face of makeup. It's not a bad thing, it's a good thing, it boosts my confidence especially while I'm going through puberty and my confidence normally drops. Nobody should go after a young girl because she wears "to much makeup" there is no such thing as that. Just remember that each individual has their own style, so please don't go after young girls who want to make themselves feel better about themselves. I would cry if I didn't have my foundation, i know it sounds dramatic, but I have acne and I use foundation to cover it. It makes me feel really good about myself. That's why kids like makeup

hello! i completely support wearing makeup but i would like to stress the importance of taking care of your skin as well, make sure you figure out what your skin type is (dry, combination, oily) and make sure you cater to that type, ALWAYS wear sunscreen when you go outside, wash your face AT LEAST once a day but twice a day is ideal, use a gentle cleanser, moisturize every day, develop a routine, make sure to brush your teeth before washing your face (so that the toothpaste doesn't irritate your skin), and if your skin starts to get really bad acne wise, see if you can go to a dermatologist. my acne got really bad between 6th and 7th grade but i went to a dermatologist and in a few months it got better.

makeup routine as a 13 year old: 1.concealer on my hyperpigmentation like around my lips, at the sides of my nose and the inner corners of my eyes, and undereyes. 2.translucent powder to set everything 3. Mascara only on the outer corners of my eyes (to add a small lift like for foxeyes) 4.Highlight on my nose, top of my lip and the inner corners of my eyes 5. Lip tint (very subtle but also noticeable) 6.a small wing with my eyeliner 7.and to finish it off- fake freckles (makes my face less bland) I don't wear foundation because I don't like the feeling and i like letting my skin breathe (i really care about my skin) I support, and respect tweens or teens who wear a lot more makeup than me.
Updated! but still very similar 1. concealer under eyes, around nose, and lip corners 2. tinted powder mostly for mattfiying (i have oily skin) 3. eyeliner to elongate eyes (not asianfishing as i am asian o.o) 4. cherry colored lipgloss 5. highlighter on nose and between eyes if that makes sense, and inner corners! and above lip 6. blushhh!!! super cute 7. little hearts on cheek (with eyeliner) (egirl vibes) i'm lot more skilled at makeup and alot more confident! having access to wearing makeup doesn't make me "need" it, i think of it more as a method of "looking more pretty" but being completely fine bare faced if that makes sense. i think makeup is great and has a psychological effect of making you more confident heavy or light makeup, a woman said she was once very insecure and quiet, barely socialised and felt ugly- then she tried makeup! she talked about how "even if it looked good or not" she still felt confident! then she stepped out of her comfort zone and did public speeches and socialised alot more!. overall it's still very important to be okay with yourself barefaced- like yes you're not as pretty without makeup but that doesn't make you "ugly". We're entering a generation where it's more acceptable to wear makeup! so i think this is quite limiting but its okay because it's a good guide for starters!

Tbh I’ve been wearing makeup since I was three. I had those kid palettes with sheer eyeshadows and lipgloss and I used to experiment in front of the mirror. I have actual pictures of me looking like a clown. My mum never restricted me but always told me that a lot of makeup everyday is bad for me and now I am quite experienced in makeup and I love doing it but not everyday not even every week and not even caked on if I decide to and it’s a regular day. If it is an occasion I will wear heavy makeup but it’s never looked bad. And most importantly I don’t wear makeup to cover up, my face is a canvas and I should be free to experiment, right? Who tells artist how much and what type of paint to use? No one! They figure it out themselves and so should we

This video was very misleading. I’m almost 13 and wear foundation to cover up some acne scars since I always pick up pimples. I have naturally long lashes so I wear a tad bit of mascara. I shape my eyebrows and sometimes fill them in (SLIGHTLY) in bad days when they won’t cooperate with me, lol. -Foundation -Blush -Mascara -Eyebrows -Concealer (Under my eyes sometimes for school) This video should be more realistic. How I feel about this is typically tweens and teenagers want to wear makeup just because it looks fun and cool they know they're pretty and it's like just let them wear it and have fun and express themselves if they want to go all out let them it's not a big deal if they wash their face every night they probably won't be any acne and if so it could be puberty. Hello Caylin! My name is Pricilla & im 13 years old,but I wear a full face of makeup. Such as foundation,eyeshadow,liquid eyeliner,mascara,blush,bronzer,& everything in between. My suggestion is that you want to start slow,I started wearing makeup when I was around 10-11 years old but I only started with a few things (brow pencil,eyeliner,mascara,& face powder) I did it to mainly see the effects that it causes on my skin. Such as acne,redness,irritation,etc. If you want to start out with bb cream than go right ahead,then slowly move to foundation if that is your choice. I hate how they were completely judging the girl in the video and saying pretty rude comments about her makeup. Why do you have to bring someone else down to make you feel better? I understand you don't want your kids to wear too much, but telling others that they can't do what they want with makeup and making fun of them for it is completely wrong. This is just terrible! The whole idea behind makeup was just lost in this video. What people like these think is that makeup is so that kids can make themselves prettier. I'm eleven years old in grade six and each day I wear a full face of makeup. It's not a bad thing, it's a good thing, it boosts my confidence especially while I'm going through puberty and my confidence normally drops. Nobody should go after a young girl because she wears "to much makeup" there is no such thing as that. Just remember that each individual has their own style, so please don't go after young girls who want to make themselves feel better about themselves. I would cry if I didn't have my foundation, i know it sounds dramatic, but I have acne and I use foundation to cover it. It makes me feel really good about myself. That's why kids like makeup

hello! i completely support wearing makeup but i would like to stress the importance of taking care of your skin as well, make sure you figure out what your skin type is (dry, combination, oily) and make sure you cater to that type, ALWAYS wear sunscreen when you go outside, wash your face AT LEAST once a day but twice a day is ideal, use a gentle cleanser, moisturize every day, develop a routine, make sure to brush your teeth before washing your face (so that the toothpaste doesn't irritate your skin), and if your skin starts to get really bad acne wise, see if you can go to a dermatologist. my acne got really bad between 6th and 7th grade but i went to a dermatologist and in a few months it got better.

makeup routine as a 13 year old:
1.concealer on my hyperpigmentation like around my lips, at the sides of my nose and the inner corners of my eyes, and undereyes.
2.translucent powder to set everything
3. Mascara only on the outer corners of my eyes (to add a small lift like for foxeyes)
4.Highlight on my nose, top of my lip and the inner corners of my eyes
5. Lip tint (very subtle but also noticeable)
6.a small wing with my eyeliner
7.and to finish it off- fake freckles (makes my face less bland)
I don't wear foundation because I don't like the feeling and i like letting my skin breathe (i really care about my skin)

i'm lot more skilled at makeup and alot more confident! having access to wearing makeup doesn't make me "need" it, i think of it more as a method of "looking more pretty" but being completely fine bare faced if that makes sense. i think makeup is great and has a psychological effect of making you more confident heavy or light makeup, a woman said she was once very insecure and quiet, barely socialised and felt ugly- then she tried makeup! she talked about how "even if it looked good or not" she still felt confident! then she stepped out of her comfort zone and did public speeches and socialised alot more!. overall it's still very important to be okay with yourself barefaced- like yes you're not as pretty without makeup but that doesn't make you "ugly". We're entering a generation where it's more acceptable to wear makeup! so i think this is quite limiting but its okay because it's a good guide for starters!

People need to understand that there is no such thing as the right way to do makeup. There is no right way to do your makeup people, yes there is a right way to apply products on your face but other than that there is no right way to do your makeup.
If homegirl wants to keep it natural, you keep it natural. If you're someone who loves to go all the way and look boujee then you do that boo. It doesn't matter how much you put on your face. If you don't like full coverage, then don't do a full-coverage kind of look. Period. Don't go around telling people that certain makeup looks are wrong and that teens and tweens shouldn't be doing them.
Makeup isn't about making yourself believe you look beautiful. Makeup is about expressing Who You Are. If parents think that makeup is about covering your flaws and enhancing your features just so that you look beautiful- honey no. this is the root of the problem. Maybe parents should educate themselves first about what makeup is actually about before telling the entire world that your daughter or your little boy may be doing something incredibly bad by wearing makeup the way they feel right. Update: ok guys, so it’s been 7 months we’re in 2020, and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who replied it gave me a lot of confidence. I am now 14, and I have a decent collection of makeup and I’ve been doing well. I put light eyeshadow, some blush, and lipgloss mascara all that. Tbh I’ve been wearing makeup since I was three. I had those kid palettes with sheer eyeshadows and lipgloss and I used to experiment in front of the mirror. I have actual pictures of me looking like a clown. My mum never restricted me but always told me that a lot of makeup everyday is bad for me and now I am quite experienced in makeup and I love doing it but not everyday not even every week and not even caked on if I decide to and it’s a regular day. Literally I wear mascara only, a boy at my school said that my friends and I “ wear makeup to look hotter” and I went home and sent him this: “ I and many others don’t wear makeup to look better because I am confident with myself :) I don’t wear makeup to impress anyone, I wear makeup to feel powerful and creative.” And really this shouldn’t have a whole episode in my opinion, girls should just wear what makes them feel beautiful in a natural way! ☺️♥️

Ummm no I totally agree that makeup doesn't Define someone but it's also an artistic expression I am 13 years old and I wear a lot of makeup but I don't wear it because it defines me or because I feel pretty in it I wear it because it's my art in my way of expression and that girl was doing amazing at her makeup

Instead of being terrified of my child following that girls tutorial I’m terrified that grown adults are judging a young girl who is doing what she loves and is not hurting anyone.
There isn't just one way to do makeup you can do makeup in so many ways because you can be creative with it and if someone wants to wear loads of makeup then don't disown them because of it
makeup routine from a 13 year old:
- sunscreen/moisturizer
- a fricc ton of blush
- mascara on lower lashes only (I have glasses)
- translucent powder if I'm feeling oiLy
- brow gel
- chapstick
- lip gloss
brow gel is only necessary for 14 years and up.

this people are mad, i wore makeup because it gave me c o n f i d e n c e. seriously "too much" is not that much honestly. this fumes me. if i was told as a tween that i could only do minimal coverage (with acne) seriously i wouldve flipped. this annoys me so much
everyone saying you don't need makeup at a young age...lots of peoples wear makeup to cover bad skin or flaws that they don't like. I wear makeup because it makes me feel prettier and more comfortable to emphasizing the natural beauty of my face, not covering it or changing it. its totally ok to wear makeup as long as you feel comfortable wearing it. it's your choice!!!!
