@@mmcc_woodshop6288to save a finger I would be glad to have to buy a new cartridge, but for some wet glue its just pain, lol. You got yourself a new sub, i really like your humor and your designs! Cheers!
Wifey's uncle, may he rest in peace, was a wood carver and used basswood almost exclusively. He always said that basswood was only used for carving and toothpicks. Guess he was wrong.
From what I’ve read it’s supposed to be good for carving. I probably wouldn’t specifically look for basswood to build with but it worked out well here IMO 👍🏻
Dominos are much more precise and allow for ‘spot on’ repetitive cuts since the domino itself has alignment tools/offsets build into it. Wood screws will work perfectly fine, I just find dominos to be easier to line up. Also, the domino will be hidden opposed to seeing the end of a screw/pocket hole
Digital plans are now available on my Etsy site at the following link!

Awesome built brother! Appreciate the you sharing man!!
Thanks Derek, glad the video was helpful!
I think I would inset the one in the rail about a 16th of an inch. That might take the wobble out of the rails for a more sturdy bed.
Good thinking, that would likely help 👍🏻
👍 good stuff
Thanks Eric!
Beautiful. Very well done. Wish I had the plans for this bed.
Thanks! I’ll look into developing plans at some point!

wow! how much was the cost of supplies for this project?
About $300-350ish for this one. The lumber was used was a bulk discount, so I was able to keep the price pretty low
What size bed is this? Do you plans for a king?
The plans I have now are for a queen. I’ll try to get an extra version for a king size available as soon as I’m able to
I could feel your pain on that sawstop going off lol...
1000x better than an accident.. but yeah it stung a little bit 😩

What are the advantages of using dominos instead of just wood screws

whats are some joints you reccomend that are easier for beginners.@@mmcc_woodshop6288
