I've actually been addicted to watching these videos. The host is very good at explaining things and demonstrating a procedure. I've learning more in the last 2 days that I have in the past year. Thanks and keep it up!
I simply love these videos - short, sweet, simple - they're easy enough for anyone to understand :) as a DIYer myself, all of these videos provide a knowledgeable perspective to put against my current knowledge. Oh, and the idea of raising/lowering the front to install the DC bar is awesome!
Great job with this video, and nice lil' trick with dropping the 1 strut, as I don't know how many people I've seen attempt to beat these things on with a hammer etc. .
I enjoyed this video! Its also impotent to consider that some thinner/ cheaper strut braces are not very effective if they flex easier then the chassis its self (eg if you can bend it by leaning on it)
Nice explanation! I noticed that fitting a strut bar to my front Mcpherson strut towers makes the steering noticeably heavier. Why would this be? Does it mean the tower cannot flex so the top mount bearing gets loaded up?
So I have lowered my car to a considerable height. Not too low yet now to high, but I could still feel the weight distribution or body roll of my car as I turn or enter a freeway through a sharp curve. I am intending to drop my car another inch or an inch and a half and add a strut bar. My main question is: When people say that a strut bar makes the ride "stiffer", does that mean reducing body roll? I've watched this video over and over but I can't seem to grasp the concept in my mind. I know for a fact that SWAY bars reduce body roll significantly, but if I have adjustable suspension systems why should I replace my sway bar to reduce body roll if I am willing to drop my car another inch or so? Can someone help me please? Thanks!
followed the link, found them for plenty of cars like grand ams and G5s, but not for my grand prix.... and i could really use that triangulated strut bar. 236 thousand miles on the thing and it handles like a three wheeled nova. really could use something to stiffen the chassis
***** Im not going to say to NOT drop it again, that is your choice, but you're only lowering the center of gravity, not stiffening up the chassis. This has to be done with cross supports. I would say go with the sway bar if you need some very noticeable increase, however strut bars do offer support as well, just not as much.
These strut bars are designed to allow the hood to be able to close. That's part of their engineering process: making sure it can be installed without requiring other modifications.
Oh my god, an almost bone stock LS Integra!!! Come on man, you can still get one of these almost anywhere. LS's are a dime a dozen no need to fap over there buddy.
Something that's often overlooked is the hinges on a lot of strut bars. They allow flex in an up and down movement, and that flex also happens.

thank god for andy's going the extra mile to help us out at home!

you look like walter white from breaking bad
Do you have to torque down the nuts after installing the strut bars?

Awesome informative videos! Straight to the point! Subscribed!
Cool video! Certainly gives us a lot of info. Many thanks.
Very good job. Now I know!
Appreciate this video, totally forgot to drop the suspension, I was getting ready to grab my dremel 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
When I install my strunt bars will I need an alignment afterwards ?
Awesome Video. 🎯✌🏽😎🍻

torque is greater than horse power
Strut bar accommodates for that torque
so yeah, technically.
Nice I also have a DC strut bar
so which one is better? solid one like the DC or the flexible jointed one like you see on the cusco and greddy?

Would you need to get an alignment after install these?
Hello ! Should I lift the front end of the car while I'm installing the front bar ? Give me an advise which is the right way to do it and why ?
How do you know what size you should/can put on your car?
What kind of vehicle?
Would this make me able to drift better or worse? Or no effect at all?
I have a 99 integra gsr with a skunk2 intake manifold, will a strut bar fit over that? The factory one was too low to fit the new intake manifold.
can you just install teh Front with out the Rear ? does it mess up the car in anyways ?
Does the torque spec vary by car year, make and model?
Ive heard it is great value for improving cornering

What's the best strut bar for a s2000 track car?
Do they sell these for pick ups ? Or need to be custom
Nice vid
Can you put a hood on after putting these bars on? Sorry I'm an amateur.
is this the same as a "sway bar"?
muy buena información
Can't wait to buy some for my project Integra :)
how is the hood going to close?
These strut bars are designed to allow the hood to be able to close. That's part of their engineering process: making sure it can be installed without requiring other modifications.
how do you get the lighting so perfect?
Hi can you do a video on roll cages??
one you guys are done modifying that integra, can I buy it? haha
Corsa c doesn't have any bolts on the tower mounts? I've gotta etech strut brace but unsure on fitment
Do all cars have rear strut bars?
What rims are those?
got damn this is a good video
would have been cool to run the car through a slalom before and after so we could see a time difference with and without the strut tower bars.
would this increase rigidity on a targa top car?
yes
Aaron Richardson
so it be worst?
Overweight is bad, bending is ok since force won't be applied this way.
no bolts on vw golf mk4 1.8 5v
So are you saying if you buy a used car you should get this
Um torque wrench?
Ahh to own it...
subbed
Now they have to take it off to replace the OEM intake.
And there goes your trunk space lol
dat organized toolbox.
Why are civic strut bars soo much iv gotten them for other cars for like 15 to 20 bucks. These bars are like 130 at best at pretty much every shop.
nice..
yeah mr white, yeah science
this guy make some more hp.
My amg has triangles
Why don't you fixed up a tempo
Oh my god, an almost bone stock LS Integra!!! Come on man, you can still get one of these almost anywhere. LS's are a dime a dozen no need to fap over there buddy.
at least at 1:10 sec they show a real engine
Easiest car for that job
now u get 5+ hp
teggie :)
shes fuckin gorgeous :D
Great video check out my 240sx
Will I need an alignment after ive installed the strunt bars ?
