I've struggled with it, I think it looks horrible. But my husband loves it, he says it's a symbol of my dedication to him and the kids. If I wanted to do surgery he would be all for it, but only if it made me happy.

      @LemonSte 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    • @LemonSte

      @@HelloThere... obviously. But women aren't throwing themselves at me the same way men are lol, and I'm not saying that in a good way, I'm bisexual so I'd actually like it if the scales were more balanced lmao. My point is that as a woman, men insert themselves into your space and life all the time and you either just have to tell them to fuck off or see how it goes and if they're nice people - so there's more chance of getting a few douchebags and being fucked over. whereas it feels like as a woman you can be selective of what women you interact with. I've had guys literally drunk as hell, on their knees, declaring their love for me (which isn't an attractive look btw) then weeks later send me walls of text calling me a crazy and retarded and telling me to stop bitching about their new girlfriend (when no one was saying shit)... My experience is that men are very insecure and paranoid. Even men in my family who I love dearly and/or have passed away recently, I hear stories that sound borderline abusive. I'm lucky to be with a man right now who is nothing like anyone I've ever dated or been friends with, he's truly 100% good. Unfortunately people like that get taken advantage of and he's been a bit battered by that reality lately

    • @HelloThere...
      @HelloThere... 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@LemonSte mm. I could write a paragraph as long as yours about how women can be just as much of an asshole as some douchebag dude. Should I be saying that "Emma Watson restores my faith in women"? I wouldn't... That could easily come off as offensive, and it is. The problem with saying things like what you said, (and it's very common for women to say) is that it makes you sound like some of those unfortunate "men hating" women. Do some men have problems mostly unique to men? Yes. Do women as well? Absolutely! Let's try to respect that we're all humans, and that we all screw up regardless of gender. Men don't screw up because they're men. We screw up because we're human. Women don't screw up because they're women. They screw up because they're human. I respect your point of view, I really do, I just have many problems with it. Many, many, problems. I understand that you came to your point of view via life experience, and I'm sorry for whatever experiences gave you a poor outlook on men, but don't generalize! Because that...that, is being an asshole too. Try saying "some men" instead of the general terms "men do this and men do that"... It's much less offensive. Have a good day, miss. I wish you the very best 😊

    This guy is extremely funny. So incredibly true too! Never tamper with your body for others or feel bad about your appearance. Be comfortable with your own skin. These days it’s all about looks. It worries me. I recently had the argument over selfies. Instead of taking hundreds of pictures of yourself and filtering everything turn the camera to the people around you and the activities you do or your environment. Don’t live your life through the lense and someone else’s point of view. Every time you do that you miss the reality of that around you and even cannot build real memories.

      I never use filters on my pictures, but one time, someone else did.
      And she took a picture of me and send it to me.
      I remember I didn't recognize myself properly at first. And then, the picture made me sad.
      Because the girl in the picture had such large blue eyes, thick lashes, blushing cheeks, pale skin, shiny hair, she looked like a model. I look like that if I put on make up (which I don't.)
      I still don't wear any make up though. It motivates me to eat healthy, when I know I won't be able to cover up any "damage" that extra meat, fat and sugar will do.
      That being said, I also don't avoid candy or snacks, trust me. My mom's worried I'm only having veggies once a week xD She might be right.

      Is your profile pic of you? If so, you have a really symmetrical nose and fair skin. There is nothing that needs changing. You say it is for your happiness, but of you put that £5000 in a good uni fund for your child it would be £10,000 by their 18th.
      Surely that would make you happier than a different nose. After inflation that's still equivalent to £7000 in today's money.

    • @beththedarkmage3359

      Not sure if it's too late to point this out, but nose jobs often get botched. Especially since you're breaking the nose in order to get it to change. I personally don't think such an invasive and extreme surgery is worth it just for a cosmetic purpose, but if you already know this and are willing to go ahead with it regardless then that's your choice.
      I can understand some people actually need their nostrils widened for medical purposes, some people have a nose that doesn't match the proportions of their face all that well...what I'm trying to say is, you probably have your reasons, I just hope you realise the risks. Stay safe.

    Yeah this isn't wrong though. A lot of girls do hate how they look because of others. A few months ago I was in a positive mood and realised that I had never really complimented my best friend before because I was embarrassed and decided to just go for it. So I told her "you know I haven't really said this before but did you know that you're beautiful?" She started crying. She said that she was crying because throughout her childhood till that point she had only been told that she was ugly and only her dad ever complmented her.not her mum, nit her siblings, not her friends. From that moment on I complement her so often that she will soon get annoyed with me and I complim3nt all of my other friends about their redeeming qualities. Beauty, intelligence, creativity etc. Btw I didn't just complement her beauty but I was paraphrasing because what I actually said took far longer to say.

    I relate to these people who want to change the way they look, when I was a child I had a rare facial deformity. I had to go to plastics to fix it or I would have lost parts of my face. However the bottom of my chin is where the scaring has left to the same thing happened, making painful watt looking things that bleed. And I always see them in every photo and every video. In School pictures . I felt so self-conscious about them, and when my family hired a photographer he had removed it from the picture. Which I was happy for but it made me more self-conscious. My girlfriend has told me that it’s almost like a scar of my survival. Like battle scars. I like to think of it like that instead of some thing that will never make me stereotypically beautiful. Even though it’s sad to know that I can never be “pretty”

    Cosmetic surgery is just a branch of plastic surgery. Plastic surgeons deal with burns, reconstructive surgery after trauma, and skin cancer (among many, many other things). By all means criticize cosmetic surgery, but don't confuse it with plastic surgery on the whole!

    I fucking h a t e how I look (I get bullied at school and when I get put on a team at school people whisper ‘ugh why do *we* have to have her) and it hurts. It’s not ‘ha ha sorry everything lady da now’ no! Not even close! It makes people harm themselves and think badly of themselves or even get an eating disorder! It’s absolutely unsettling that my friend (both of us are 10) got bullied by mi “BFF” (I fucking HATE him) and CUT herself with a knife. Love yourself! You don’t have to change for anyone! Know you are beautiful and I love you and will be absolutely in pain if you leave us. We all love you. 💜💙💚💜💙💚😻😍🥰😘

    Good on Russ for not only pointing out the problem but also addressing the cause. Russ did good in revealing the fact that it's about impressionable men vs. the porn industry, not just impressionable women.

    It can go the other way, too. I recall seeing men post statements online saying that they’d rather their girlfriend experience back pain than get their breasts reduced for their own health just so that their girlfriend would be nicer to look at. They claimed that it was selfish for these women to want to be pain free, and that they could no longer date them if she were to have smaller breasts because it’s a big part of the person’s appeal. They claimed that their need to look at their girlfriend’s large breasts was more important than the woman’s comfort. Honestly, until these people can get their act together, they don’t deserve to have any girlfriend. These people are not selfish. They are in pain. It’s the men who try to stop them just because they like the look of them who are being selfish.

    • @Tunlum
      @Tunlum 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's completely untrue. So many men have self confidence issues because of the way they look because of pressure to look a certain way. I don't think you quite got the video, considering he was trying to highlight how we shouldn't be trying to point out imperfections or making people look at them. They see them, we shouldn't expect anything, we shouldn't make people feel bad for being Imperfect and we damn sure shouldn't make it man vs woman.

      If she won't listen to honest talk about not needing it, you could always scare her with the very real risks. Not just that it doesn't turn out looking the way you thought, but that you'll have painful symptoms for the rest of your life. Restoring a botched operation might be impossible, or cost more than the original procedure. Not to mention, any time you're put under anastetics (spelling?), there's always a small risk you won't wake up again.
