My 2004 Camry has over 198,000 miles and is going strong. I have replaced brake pads of course, struts and alternator. Mine came with a CD player, and a cassette player! It also has the anniversary wheels. I've not seen another one with those. What he calls a cigarette lighter is probably like mine, for phone charger and other accessories like a GPS. I love my Toyota. The 02 I had before this was hit by a truck on the Interstate and totaled. Not a scratch on me or my wife. I will have no other vehicle than a Toyota. Scotty is right, they are the best.

Wow, what a boring car. My dad gave me his BMW 325i. Within three months it needed new brakes ($800), new tires ($200, used), a new fuel pump ($300), air conditioner/heater stopped working (I did my best to ignore it) interior continued shredding (I ignored it) plastic grills cracked and eventually fell off (where, IDK) coolant leaked (probably a head gasket leak from when my dad overheated it when the plastic filler thingy broke) out, cooling system eventually failed (I even did my best to igore this), I put in new battery ($150!!!).
That is the short list. Every day was a new adventure. I sold the car to a twenty-something kid who looked like he needed some BMW excitement in his life. This is what I like about Scotty, he’ll feature a video like this. Too many people are too serious about their damn cars. I like this kids sense of humour. He genuinely appreciates his car and he makes some good points. My daughters first car was a hand me down (from me) 2002 Camry. Currently my wife has a 2014 Camry. We have a 12 year old Prius (it replaced our 2002 Camry) and we have a 2009 Avalon, which out 18 year old son drives. His friends appreciate how luxurious and roomy the damn thing is, plus it has a half decent JBL stereo. When you need multiple cheap used reliable cars, because you have multiple drivers and not a bundle of money, you can’t beat Toyota.

Great video my guy....I've got an 05 Camry with over 250,000 and with just basic maintenance the thing still drives smooth and zips around like a champ. I'll never sell it and the things I've been able to tetris in this car is ridiculous..great trunk size and easy to work on too.

Bought my 2008 Camry with 150,000 miles on the odometer in May last year after my 2013 Focus was t-boned.
I don’t regret it for a second. Has an aux port, ice cold AC, a reliable 4 banger, and comfortable seats and ample leg room.
Everything a person who cares for function needs to get around.

I know how this guy feels for sure. I used to own a 2004 Toyota Corolla with just over 200,000 kilometres. It was bought in 2006 by my mom gently used. I believe it had less than 10,000 kilometres at that point. We continued to drive across Canada from Halifax to Abbotsford, that is like going from Maine to Seattle, just a little bit longer. We then took it from Western Canada to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas last Summer. We also drove to the ski hills a lot. It also had a manual transmission. We drove for 15 years as a daily driver for commutes on highways in the cold winters and rainy seasons. Other than a 5-10 dollar starter pin that got worn out after 8 years which supposed to be five years (knowing Toyota’s) it never broke down once.
It was an amazing timeless car for us. Then very recently some young guy in a black Dodge Ram truck rear ended it and now it was just written off by our car insurance company. :(!!! I was in the process off inheriting the car after 15 years of patiently waiting for its inheritance.

If I don’t trust my only child in a car dad can afford then I would never gift her the yota. I’m buying it for 2k off a family freind, older young lady. Then I’m putting a grand into running it up from the “ground” up. I’m a working godly dude. Almost 4d. This is her car. Love ya kiddo
