Never try to make sense of MGS4 it's complete nonsense it's really just fanservice written by western barbarians that was made to make PS3 owners feel great about owning a PS3
It's awesome that Suzi gave a shout out to Metal Gear Rising's codec! It's a criminally overlooked treasure trove of insightful lore and characterization, all tucked away in those optional conversations. The way it's done is almost on par with the original MGS trilogy. In fact, I think MGR's codec dialogue does a better job of grounding Raiden's post-MGS2 development than MGS4 ever did. So despite the irreverent tone it occasionally has during the main campaign, i still think the writing in Revengeance is actually more thoughtful than people give it credit for.
I love that Suzi take on DS2 that first time you play as Sam then game switches you to play other characters, and that's what I felt too everytime I thinking of Death Stranding 2 and his relationship with Sequel trend. Hey, if Kojima can Bait-and-Switch in MGS2 with Raiden and Snake, then sure is he will do it again in DS2 with Sam and whoever we will play with. Even if he didn't do that again, it's alright.
The ONLY reason I feel confident that this is not going to happen is because he probably wants to do something even crazier. He's already done the bait-and-switch protagonists before, and he knows that people will expect it. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if he wants people to expect it, just to then use that expectation as ammo to fuck with us again
@@thruston If he taking lesson from Yoko Taro, Sam Lake and What he's been done on Death Stranding plus many weird games out there. I have many expectations but for now. I'll try not to think about it and just think back to my original thoughts that he's just gonna do something more stupidly crazy, absolute cinema experience and batshit insane than DS1.
Re 7 is amazing, I wanna say it's my 2nd most played RE with OG Re4 being #1. The first person experience was weird for an RE game but I didn't hate it and the baker house is just... perfect Also Chris moving the earth by punching the boulder, absolute cinema Ok one last thing, not many ppl like ethan winters which i completely get but he's hilarious when seeing horrors of the baker house and having the most basic response at times like its a regular Thursday for him
I think a really underrated thing about the first 3 mgs games people tend to look over as its such a core part, it basically is the game is the vibes. For as much praise mgs 2 gets for its story (deserved) i think it would've fallen flat in a few areas if it didn't have thag 2000s techno hell kinda vibe that just oozes out of it, same with 3 and its perfect 60s spy thriller.
MGS4 is to Metal Gear what The Dark Knight Rises is to Batman. It maybe an emotional finale for those invested in the series but there is alot of bullshit you have to sit through MGS2 is like Deus Ex, it's themes and story are more relevant than ever
Also I could probably perfectly explain what the Death Stranding was. And no the second game will not explain it more because it's already been explained.
@@KojiProNetwork So it's all from standard Japanese cycle of life and death themes. It was an event where that cycle could no longer continue as normal going forward which is a problem per these themes. Bunch of explosions happen, world of life and death connected, explosions as a result of any one being of course having its soul linger and try to stay in the body too long. Obviously Kojima needed to tack on the explosion consequence to give weight to it as an issue in the story.
Hey Suzi, since MGS3R is coming, I'm ready Excited to see your thoughts on MGS2 and side note I really like a Metal Gear Rising review and a pitch for a sequel to it.
I pray with DS2 there's some element of Co-Op, like I'm not dead set on it but would be nice considering the first game is all about connections. And now that we've connected, it'd make sense to have at least an extra NPC along with us or seeing more Porters out in the world, etc. Also the comments from Norman, etc., said "DS1 is more Passive, but with this new entry it's much more Aggressive" making me think it will be more combat oriented Still upsetting Survive didn't even get a chance :( PRAYING DELTA BRINGS MGO BACK! PLEASE! Great podcast, subbed
Death Stranding is amazing, I don't really understand all the hate it's received. In fact I first came across Suzi's channel because of her DS review, which at the time was the only one I think I agreed with. I am happy to see its getting more love in the years after its release, similar to the treatment mgs2 got from fans. Dunkey had probably the most viral hate review and he made a video a year or so later with a much more favorable opinion. Anyway, great episode, probably my favorite so far, thanks guys!
Suzi at least shares most of the opinions I do. But I wanna call it here in this comment section, Delta will be mediocre as a game because it will do almost nothing new or interesting but it will review well because reviewers don't care.
Suzi is the perfect guest. But she was somewhat wasted in this episode. I wanted a more in depth discussion about Metal Gear, rather than this casual, breezy chit-chat about gaming in general. Metal Gear is such a rich and interesting topic, and you didn't get into any of the good stuff at all. Come on guys.... 😐
1. That's not what this podcast is about. 2. She literally said she's about to go in-depth on MG in her upcoming videos, so we didn't deep dive. Good news is, she's probably returning some time soon.
There’s more than one Metal Gear focused podcast that does deep dives into the games. We do our own thing here which we love and clearly the guests do too. Sorry if it wasn’t your vibe but you’re trying to buy pants at a Starbucks

This is the longest regular/guest episode yet, the only other longer ones are the Burst Transmissions. You guys have great chemistry.
lol Suzi just vibes around all kinds of places and people out of thin air

Easily the most fun I've had on the show. Suzi is so awesome.

Great show! Thanks for getting a solid podcast interview from someone who has virtually the same taste in horror/capcom.
I feel seen as fuck as an mgs2 raiden fan. Thanks guys xxxxxx
