Wow.. This planet just didn't want to give you an ice lake! Angling two engines at 90 degrees and tilting into them, is a nice way to get a steady flight... :)
I've been mulling it over for a little while. I knew you could build a gyroscope and remote control with the parts on hand, and I knew that if you turned on the atmospheric thrusters it would make you hover. Just a matter of combining that.
Very nice trick about stopping in mid-air like that. I always did something similar once I landed but sometimes the landing is a bit rough.
This is really an awesome trick to learn. No more hours of grinding stone just to get mobile to an ice lake. Thx for this.
Thanks mate!
Outstanding, how to video. Great way way to start (off the new year... lol)
Ha ha thanks mate

Wish I would of know this when I first started playing . This is going to be helpful , awesome
I might implement it in a speed run video, but there's also no reason you can't just do this after you deploy the parachute and land.

That's awesome, I have to ask how long did it take to work this out? I'm going to have to give it a go no my next playthrough.

do this while on the ground, save power
Yeah, but this was fun. And a way to prove that you don't need to mine anything. And getting underneath can be tough.
