I love the Db scale. It’s so rich. Personally I hate the Ab scale I need to practice it more. Thank you for this video! One trick I do is if I’m doing a 4536 progression is once I get to the 5 is jump to the 2(diminish it and extend it) walk up two half steps chromatically to land on the 3 but it’s 1 over 3 chord and it sounds nice!
A is one of my week keys but I’m not afraid to learn the song in the key of A. My pops when I was a kid taught me how to use circle of 4ths & 5ths in every key!!! I hate it but little did I know he was showing me how not to rely on the transpose button before it became trendy to use it!!!
Thank you for this lesson JP! I've been looking for a lesson like this. As for your question, I am weakest in the keys E and A. So those are my requests if you will. Thanks so much for all you do. I've grown so much because of your lessons!
JT, Will you do a series on your top 10 chord guide on the gmtc membership site or for your TH-cam audience showing how you implement those chords in different progressions using the number system. I think that would be cool.
I truly need some advanced chords for Db. Some jazz notes and some preacher chords. I love how you operate using numbers as well. Most you tubers don't do that. Makes it much easier.
Thanks a million for the lesson senior man..... Kindly apply the movements in some gospels music to make it more practical and easy for us to apply in our plays.
When I first started playing I was stuck in Db for a good little while. I would mess with other black keys here and there. The only white keys I messed with a little was C major and F major. Now I'm playing in all keys, and I want to be challenged more in the white keys. So the key I requested is B major.
Actually in the key of B Major there are only two white notes B and E… the rest of the notes are black C# D# F# G# and A# Practice the key of B and it’s relative minor Ab for 2 weeks straight watch how you gonna amaze yourself with your progress.
Hey brother thanks very much the video is so helpful please continue doing a lot of videos in Db and do piano and organs movements we can play at church and am in South Africa..........and brother please help with some chords selection on a piano and on an organ am gonna play on a certain wedding so they'll give me some time to so I need something to play on Db please brother 🙏 I really loke your playing keep well God bless 🙏

Hey bro I hope you are ok. I think playing in the other keys are fine, especially for the worship stuff. But in a Gospel Context, I would like to see more content in D & G.
Exactly…there is no such thing as a hard key. Some people are just more familiar with some keys Vs others. it’s all about getting more familiar with keys you don’t play in as much.
Thank you brother for helping us out with the diminished walk. How do you like your classic motif? Is there a noticeable difference between classic and es?
I know what to do in the left hand based off having a full understanding of the chords that are being played. So having an overall understanding of the chord helps you with voicing the chord because you are using notes that are apart of the basic chords structure.
@@hearandplayso are saying for example if I play a c chord .I can play the base C&C or C&E in the left? cause it's based on what I'm playing in the right hand.

A is not hard... just a matter of mindset, we need to get familiar with voicing chords in other "Hard Keys".
Exactly…there is no such thing as a hard key. Some people are just more familiar with some keys Vs others. it’s all about getting more familiar with keys you don’t play in as much.
Gotta play in all keys! Especially if you trying to modulate!
Exactly! The ultimate goal is to be able to play in all 12 keys ultimately well.
C#is my best key on the piano I've been playing it for 5 years now...
I see a lot of people like to play in this key. it’s very popular for gospel musicians.
Thank you brother for helping us out with the diminished walk. How do you like your classic motif? Is there a noticeable difference between classic and es?
No problem! I love it. I more so use the sound of the keyscape plug-in. But I still love the feel and sound of the original
can you do this move in a song please
JP great video but i think you may have put up the unedited version😁
We were just checking to see who makes it to the end. You won! Great find bro Tim! 😂😂😂
See sharp is my favorite key
Or d minus
lol D Minus?
Malik come on 😂😂😂😂
A is a really nice key
I actually like A. Most similar to D but you can play in any key if you practice 😃
Man...may I ask, which piano sound is that? Too sweet to not ask
I’m using Keyscape with 2 sounds layered: Soft Piano and MK Rhodes
Y’all Being Pouring Juice! But now Y’all giving out all the sauce!! 💯😂

I thought about there Is No Way hearing those diminished 7 chords . Or you love me by Jill Scott
All keys sound great, but key of Db is feels better on the fingers...
i can do some of the chords but some chords i can't do cause my hands is not big enough
I would like it more when u do it F major
I will cover that key as well at some point in this series

👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯
a is pretty kool with me in church tho
D flat intimidates me.
Oh why is that Dr. Gregory?
You are doing yourself a disservice if only stick to a few keys... Great demonstration...
A is not a hard key.. But in church you rarely use it so it's easy to ignore practicing it
Thank you sir...bt pls reduce the theory and add more practical
