- The Philmont Hymn as sung by the "Philmont Legends" on the "Live from the Tooth: Philsongs II". I loved this more causal campfire version then the choir versions I had heard before so I put together some pics and made a video. I'm hoping they will re-release Philsongs II for another generation of Philmont Scouts. I want to go back to Philmont.

Such good memories. I went in August, 1967 (8/14/F). I sang this song at night to my young daughter in the early 80's to help her go to sleep. I still do it today with my grandson. At age 7 he still asks me to sing it to him after reading a good night book. Such good memories "all around".
My old troop would sing this as a campfire closing for every outing, whether we were at Philmont or not. Still takes me back. Great version too!

This reminds me of Scotland... Then again, I have never been to Scotland.
