59 light in a fuel car is awesome. Ashley 26 light is very hard to beat by anyone. Just keep your eye on end of season goal. TF Champion, stomp the loud pedal!
I'm jealous too Pete. As a UK resident I beat you somewhat to a first drag race if this was your first one. I was fortunate enough to see, and be involved in, the 1964 Drag Fest held at Woodvale aerodrome. This was the start of promoting drag racing in the UK with many of the top US racers coming over in the following years. I was at the Pod to witness the first ever 6 second run in Stormbringer with Pete Crane

At 2:02 , a lot of comments below think Jimmo/Clay say "water drains" instead of "grains". It's water "grains". It's a measurement of how much water/moisture is in the atmosphere. More moisture = less fuel vapor going in = less HP + higher compression in the engine. Boom! I'm guessing they are installing thicker head gaskets to slightly raise the cylinder volume, which would lower the compression. Something along those lines. Anyway, congrats on a great weekend!

I remember when everyone came to Salt Lake City my wife's uncle was Mike Renyolds and his Top Fuel Car was called Eagle 1 but they tore down our track and planted warehouses. My Dad raced there I raced there and my wife's family raced there Bonneville Raceway Park or to the younger ones Rocky Mtn Raceway. Those were the days!

Thank you RWR for supporting this great drag racing team. That's a painful loss measured in thousands of a second Clay. Not red lighting on a hole shot is like winning the lottery. This drag racing event had me on the edge of my seat the whole race. Top notch camera work throughout the whole race. Unbelievable how the team is able to build another engine between rounds.
