I had only heard the A minor quartet- I recalled the semi-quavered 'shadowing' in the andante- clever. Also had to laugh and loved the "swooning" effect through 111 (?Scherzo) in F major Trio. Yes these works do need a lot more playing; not surprising that they aren't, being so technically demanding, and quite probably beyond the abilities of many players. Thank you BC. You really come up with the goods time after time. I'd love to be able to purchase more of these streamings for my library, but at 80, that's sadly unlikely to happen. Quartetto Savinio are whom, please?
Another fine selection of compositions of undeniable quality, often overlooked; & beautifully played here. Once more, also, BC adds informative & insightful notes, & a thoughtfully chosen accompanying image, to add to our pleasure. One could almost take a degree in musicology from their channel. Thanks to all.
Wonderful! Another day of ad seriatim performances, most of the works new to me (some get played over and over on the radio, so this was a treat). Thanks so much for posting these.
@@BrilliantClassics Thanks! The painting is wonderful! I love this channel, and I love mainly Vivaldi, Boccherini, Hummel, Scarlatti and others composers. However I would like to see more medieval music here please. Thank you again!
Wow. What an amazing group of musicians. By far one of the best quartets around, period.
Could not think of a more romantic painting to befit this collection of very romantic chamber music, than a nocturnal depiction of lovely Dresden
I’ve always mostly listened to Schumanns Piano Works. But his string quartets sound beautiful. What a great classical romantic composer!!
this is fine music...
interpretato con sentimento, vigore e maestria: il mio convinto e grato 'bravo' al Quartetto Savinio
