The game definitely is rated for adults with Alfred getting his pacemaker ripped out, bruce getting a stud when he makes out with catwoman, joker popping his heart, and Robert getting decapitated
It's funny I had the 1st 3 Lego star wars, & Lego Batman on ds but had Lego batman 3 on ps3, and Lego Indiana Jones & Pirates on Xbox 360, now I got a lot of Lego games on the series X
3:01 funny how this is the norm for lego games now, only 5 minikits instead of ten I think it makes sense since they usually add more collectables to the games overall now.
@@marionbaggins lm2 had No levels or minikits at all. And it kind of is the norm now, as dc villains is a 2018 game. Ninjago movie videogame didnt have levels either, and incredibles in 2017 was last to have 10. We’ll see if they’ve actually made it the norm when the next Lego game comes out.
Penguin's Lair isn't missing in the DS version, Zoo's Company is just skipped over. Man-Bat was moved to Villain Hunt instead. You also don't fight Killer Moth in an art gallery in the console version, so it's not *just* different bosses, it's different areas too. You seem to focus a lot on the little things - the lack of donuts, for example - and miss a bunch of stuff at the same time somehow.
@@Hey_yall_Jared_here. I mean... technically, yeah. But it's about a LEGO game, so it's not that serious at the end of the day. I was just correcting a few things he missed, that's all.
Yes. This is the start of a great series, but it might also benefit you to sound a little less monotone within your speech. BGM + Vocal Dynamics and this will be a great series
Black Mask, Huntress, Azrael, and others are in the main console version as well. As far as I know, you have to 100% the game to get the character pieces for each of the secret characters
I was about to say the same, but it's only on the PC version not on console. Once you get %100 completion you do get the pieces for those characters you mention and you have to create them yourself in Arkham Asylum in the "Build a hero" room.
I think the mobile version uses the console game base? Since I heard about Indy being replaced but I don't remember him being in the DS version. The DS has notable differences, such as the minigames.
What was weird about the custom character creator in the DS version was that if you picked a character with super strength to use as a base, they would lose their super strength. Your custom character couldn’t pull open walls with handlebars. That always bugged me.
Another interesting difference between the two versions is that the DS version contains the musical score from Batman Returns as well as Batman ‘89. However, the console version only uses score from Batman ‘89
Looking at the DS version, the extra characters don't make up for the good levels and graphics that Lego Batman on the Wii had. Makes me happy that I got to play the first Lego game for me ever on a TV and console another ds. Although I do like the concept of portability and I do remember in elementary school people having DS's
Also a couple of things to note, 1. The console version included manbat and killer moth where the ds version didn’t, 2. The mad hatter never had a villian level(I kind of wish he did to explain what he was doing prior to Batman and Robin, I wish we had something similar to the last villian mission of the penguin where we see manbat as well), and 3. There was no scarecrow or bane boss battle since they were both caught by the cops in their respective missions.
As well as Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I’ve had this game on my DS ever since I was a child. The handheld version is objectively better than the console version.
Maybe I’m bias but the DS version looks cleaner and the music seem better. The timed character screen sound is truly amazing as well as the camera. It’s a lot more flimsy
Honestly I was expecting something else out of this video, because with no offense here- the DS version is obviously going to have numerous differences for what it is hardware-wise. But really though if there is a difference I noticed between the Wii and the others just from looking up minikit sounds, the minikit made no ambient sound on the Wii while the latter ports have the sound play. And I was someone who played it on the Wii originally myself.
Villain hunt is one of the main reasons I love this version because it adds so many great villains like hugo strange, black mask, ventriloquist, firefly, and MR ZSASZ aka the dude who cuts himself after killing someone due to some weird knife fetish, that MF is in a lego game....... awesome.
Word of advice you sound like a robot you gotta sound normal like your talking to your friends and not reading a script which i understand it's difficult either way back of luck Mr.roboto
the DS version of the game is a game i played as a kid, but when i later played the console version, i started to not like the DS version as much. however, i still think the DS version is nostalgic here's something funny that happened when i played the game: in the villain level that has a room with two red lights on a tan wall with a minikit canister in front of the wall, i imagined the lights were the eyes of a kid being woken up for school when i made one of the lights green, and when i made the minikit canister appear, i imagined it was turning on barney the dinosaur on TV since it is purple in the villain levels
bruce and robert the video game is still the darkest lego game to date
True
The game definitely is rated for adults with Alfred getting his pacemaker ripped out, bruce getting a stud when he makes out with catwoman, joker popping his heart, and Robert getting decapitated
LEGO Batman the video game is awesome though
Not to mention Robert getting beheaded, Good riddance I say
Bruce and Robert is the best show ever
Something of note, Lego Batman 1 is partially based on the tim burton/joel schumocker movies, and the animated series, sortof amalgamated together
I loved the ds version as a kid, one of the games I spent most time on
It's funny I had the 1st 3 Lego star wars, & Lego Batman on ds but had Lego batman 3 on ps3, and Lego Indiana Jones & Pirates on Xbox 360

Lego Batman: The Videogame brings back so many good memories. That game is a underrated masterpiece.
3:01 funny how this is the norm for lego games now, only 5 minikits instead of ten
I think it makes sense since they usually add more collectables to the games overall now.
It's it the Norm? Skywalker Saga had it, while most of the Previous had 10...
@@marionbagginsdc villains had 5

I love how monotone you are. It's so unenthusiastic and I love it
The Nintendo DS version was the first one i played, i have so many good memories of playing as Scarecrow and Killer Croc.
Yeah, and i personally hate the mr.freeze level
Your videos are great but i think having subtle backround music throughout would help
Yes. This is the start of a great series, but it might also benefit you to sound a little less monotone within your speech.

yeah, 100% and you get Black Mask, Huntress, Azrael and console exclusive Spoiler. That's her name not a warning.
Now do a DS and console difference video for The Complete Saga.
From what I heard complete saga isn't that different from the console version besides necessary downgrades for mobile
I think the mobile version uses the console game base? Since I heard about Indy being replaced but I don't remember him being in the DS version.
The DS has notable differences, such as the minigames.

I like the DS version more because its what i played more over and over
I wish they ported Lego Batman the videogame to iOS and Android like they did with Lego Star Wars TCS
Thats what im saying. You should learn how to do it then just go for it
Yeah its not impossible, i mean, they aleardy made batman 2 and 3 on mobile
Its like they take place in different timelines
Another interesting difference between the two versions is that the DS version contains the musical score from Batman Returns as well as Batman ‘89. However, the console version only uses score from Batman ‘89
4:47 Donkey Kong jumpscare 😱
Could we get every inaccuracy in Lego Pirates of the Caribbean? That was the first game I ever owned, and I have very fond memories of it.
I literally don’t care about how much of this stuff I already know, imma still watch tf outta videos explaining the differences between these versions
It's crazy to think that Lego Batman is already 16 years old!
11:13 the console version's cutscene is so funny because bane gets so mad after the penguin leaves him that he goes crazy until he knocks himself out
I love this-you should do the same thing with Lego Batman 2
I’ll never understand why they changed the death sounds from ps2-ps3. The death sounds in the PS2 edition are so much funnier and more ridiculous
Looking at the DS version, the extra characters don't make up for the good levels and graphics that Lego Batman on the Wii had. do this for lego dimensions PLZZZZZZ id love to see that no one ever talks abt it

Why is the Mobile Version have what is Basically Arkham Batman instead, As the Console version doesn’t even Threaten anybody
