If you listen to the live concert version of this song, you will get to hear the 3rd version of this song. Garth added verses to other songs in his live performances too. Another one being, The Thunder Rolls.
Garth Brooks first release was " Too young to feel this damn old". Everyone thought he was George Strait. Then he came out with " If tomorrow never comes" followed by "The Dance". At that point he was already one of the top Country Singers. Then " The Thunder rolls" and "Friends in Low Places" came out. Garth has 4 songs in the top 100 for a while. He is iconic. He has other songs behind the ones I mentioned that are also iconic. He took the music world by storm.
You need to react to "The Dance" and "The River". Both incredibly beautiful musically, but it's the lyrics that will just reach in and grab your soul. Not a lot of songs can do that, but this man has a bunch
The best thing about this song, is that fans of Garth will know what song it is immediately within the first few notes, and they can sing the entire thing along with him. Doesn't matter that it's been decades now. It's a real crowd pleaser, and he's a great entertainer.
It’s absolutely crazy that the first four notes is just the down stroke of an A chord, but played like that, everyone knows exactly what song it is! I love it.
This is the song that made Garth Brooks a star to more than just the fan of Country Music. While I listened to his songs on the radio. It wasn't until I heard the song "Unanswered Prayers" on a Daytime talk show that I went and got my first Garth Brooks album or in my case cassette tape.
Everyone that knows Garth knows there is a “mysterious” third verse to this song also the thunder rolls has a third verse. Just throwing this out there
Back in the day, his concerts were wild. He'd fly over the audience, run from one end of the stage to the other. His shows would sell out in mins. He won so many entertainment of the year awards that he took his name off the list to let someone else win.
You need do a live concert video. Saw him in concert, 3 hours straight in 80° weather running all over stage in long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. Man is an beast live. Concerts puts rock bands to shame
Kelly’s show is current since 2019 so Garth Brooks has a few decades more and hair on his face from the last video you reacted to. Kelly sang Garth’s song “The Dance” to honor Garth at the Kennedy Center Honors and brought him to tears. Such a gorgeous song and it’s definitely worth a watch.
Thing about a Garth show is that, he could hit a single note and the crowd goes nuts. He could start a song and before the second line the while entire crowd has pretty much taken over singing the songs the whole concert
Yes, his concerts were awesome! True ENTERTAINER. He was one of the first country singers that didn’t just “stand there and sing”. Nothing against those, love them too. He just put on a great show.
I agree, The Dance and then Kelly Clarkson singing The Dance at the Kennedy Center honoring Garth Brooks and others, just incredible, Garth cried, I don’t know how Kelly kept it together for that performance ❤😢
This is the song that made Garth Brooks the superstar that he is today. He had previous hits with If Tomorrow Never Comes and Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old, but Friends In Low Places really launched his career.
Friends in Low Places is what breathed life back into country music and made it amazing and so much fun for the line dancers , 2 steppers and swing dancers I lived in SoCal during that time and it was amazing at the clubs and bars across Cali , country music and life style was everywhere !
If you think this is a lot of energy, you should see him in concert. OH BOY! That’s a lot of energy. He revs up the audience and they rev him up. And the only time I ever saw him in concert was when he was the opening act for The Judds Farewell Tour.
There’s a great video of him doing the third verse live with Justin Timberlake at a concert in Nashville. Also, he looks different because hr retired at the very height of his career to raise his children. I know you’ve mentioned you’re from the South. So am I. Before every LSU home game they play Calling Baton Rouge. He recently did a concert at their stadium. When he did Calling Baton Rouge, the seismograph measured the crowd reaction as a small earthquake.
Garth was selling out multiple nights in a row at arenas around the country a few years ago when he went back into music after his kids were grown. In Minneapolis it was something crazy like 12 sold out shows. The stats on tickets sold to that tour are mind boggling. He’s fantastic live, and frequently takes requests at his shows. Just an incredible musician, and I’m not even a fan of country music. This song, The Dance, and Shameless were EVERYWHERE in the early 90s. He’s essentially the Eminem of country in terms of impact on global expansion of the genre’s popularity too, and like Eminem he’s one of the top selling musicians of all time.
The River, The Dance and Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old should be next on your list for Garth. You are right though about sensing an “energy” around him. If you’re ever able to see him live, do it!! You will feel that energy and it comes in equal parts from both Garth and the crowd. I had read a story one time prior to him appearing in our area that when he does his sound check, he walks the entire venue and writes down the row and seat numbers of what he feels are the worst seats in the venue and, prior to showtime, has those people escorted to the front row where he reserved seats for that purpose. I can’t verify it beyond it having appeared in a local newspaper article, but it sounds like something he would do. After Kelly got her talk show, Blake Shelton remarked on The Voice that NBC now stands for Nothing But Clarkson.
You gotta react to a live performance of his song "Baton Rouge". It's so high energy. He used to climb the rafters and jump all over the stage, in his younger days.
This one of favorite songs he sings he got so many great songs he sings love your vibe too this song your are always so awesome reacting too songs on your youtube channel thank you Britt.❤️👍
1990-1 desert shield/storm my Marines would take a walkman and get this song to play over all 27 radio speakers in our vehicles. They drove me crazy. The next year back in the states it was achy breaky heart. They had me begging to go back to this song.
In Garth's first big release "Much too young to feel this damn old" there is a line where he says "a worn out tape of Chris Ledoux". Chris was a rancher and a rodeo bronc riding champion and a cowboy singer and songwriter. Garth was a fan of his. Chris was never as big in the music biz as Garth, but he used to perform after some of the rodeos etc.and then sell his tapes out of his pick-up. After Garth mentioned him a lot more people got to know Chris and buy his music and he started doing actual music concerts to sell out crowds as well. Chris put on a show with a lot of lively action and lights and fireworks etc. Garth kind of ummm "borrowed" from Chris' show. Of course with the money he was making Garth could take it to even bigger levels. They even recorded a song together.
I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when this song was released and it absolutely skyrocketed him to a Country god status where he’s remained ever since! That was in the early 90s
Hi Brittany, when just beginning Garth performed with and was a fan of Chris LeDoux(a true cowboy, winning the World Bareback Championship & being in the Rodeo Hall of Fame) they became fast friends. I heard Garth say , with Chris’ approval, he modeled his live performances after Chris’s. When Chris developed a very rare liver cancer Garth tried to donate part of his liver, unfortunately he wasn’t a match. Sadly, Chris died in 2005 at age 56. Stay safe and stay well. 😎✌🏻🤟🏻🤙🏻🖖🏻
Garth is one of the greatest entertainers EVER. You don’t even have to like country music to be able to enjoy Garth Brooks. Hopefully you get to hear the third verse. I saw Garth in Tulsa Oklahoma back in 1998 I believe. Outstanding show. I also got to see Garth way way back in the pre famous days in Stoolwater Oklahoma and even then I knew he was awesome.
Seeing him in person, is like nooooo other, his vibe and energy penetrates through ever one in the whole stadium, girlfriend he would blow your mind, he is a must see artist, you would thank me later !!!
The thing about Garth is that he's not the greatest singer with the best voice. He's the best performer. When you see him live, he's so full of energy and fun and sincerity and connection with the audience. His albums are great, but his live performances are top notch.
Please react to a concert version of Friends in Low Places. That way you can hear the Infamous Third Verse of the Song. Several of garth Brooks songs you have to see the Live Concert Version!
That energy you speak of permeates everything he does. He hosted Saturday Night Live...both feet in. The more ridiculous and over the top the sketch the more enthusiastic he was, simply awesome.
Garth said in a interview, he wants eye contact with as many fans as possible at every show. He said they all paid to be here, I want them all to have a good time. High up, behind the stage or front row floor 😉
I was born in the late 60s, am an absolute classic rock listener, that LOVES this song. I like that about Garth. He has a song or tune that can cross boundaries.
If you want to see super high energy from his performance, you need to see the video of him performing "Ain't Goin' Down Til the Sun Comes Up" live at a stadium show in Dallas in 1992 (I think). You'll need to fasten your seat belt before watching it.
Please check out his wife, Trisha Yearwood! Has a beautiful duet with Don Henley (from The Eagles-which we would LOVE to hear also), called “Walkaway Joe”. Also, “This is Me You’re Talkin To”, and the most beautiful, “The Song Remembers When”. Amazing voice! ❤ Great reaction!
I finally went to my first Garth Brooks concert last year and he is still bringing the energy! I would love for you to react to his song Standing Outside the Fire. The music video is Amazing!!! ❤
This is easily the most popular Garth song. Its also the 2nd most played song in karaoke bars.......right after Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet. And ONLY because every Caribbean cruise liner has at least 2 karaoke bars on board plus 18 in every port.
The first time I saw Garth Brooks he was the opening act a George Strait concert, nobody knew his name, but everybody left knowing they'd seen a start.
I'm not a big country fan, but I've heard some of the old stuff and some of the new stuff. When I decided to revisit what I missed from the 90s, Brooks back in the day sounded like an accountant on karaoke night at the local country western bar.
This is probably one of the top 3 beer drinkin singalong songs in your neighborhood bar.
Keep reactin' darlin'. You are doin' great.
haha thank you so much!!
Gotta do “You Don’t Even Call Me By My Name” by David Allen Coe - strong competitor for greatest country drinking song
@@patrickcraig8022 LoL You aren't wrong! Its even self-proclaimed as the greatest country western song!
If you listen to the live concert version of this song, you will get to hear the 3rd version of this song. Garth added verses to other songs in his live performances too. Another one being, The Thunder Rolls.

That song spoke to me when it came out. Hit every part of my life at the time.
Rodeo was also amazing and That Summer def deserves a mention.
You really MUST react to Garth Brooks' 'The Dance'. Not only a great performance a truly great song.
Bev, did you know there's a rock cover of The Dance? You can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/ligOj517OiE/w-d-xo.html
The video to the Dance is awesome.
I agree!!! Best song ever!! A must see!!!
The Dance and The River are 2 absolute "must hears". Not just for the great music, but for the message he puts out. Sheer genius
You need to react to "The Dance" and "The River". Both incredibly beautiful musically, but it's the lyrics that will just reach in and grab your soul. Not a lot of songs can do that, but this man has a bunch

It’s absolutely crazy that the first four notes is just the down stroke of an A chord, but played like that, everyone knows exactly what song it is! I love it.
I'd still sing along in crowd lol and this came out before I was born but grew up on him and ZZ Top lol
This is the song that made Garth Brooks a star to more than just the fan of Country Music. While I listened to his songs on the radio. It wasn't until I heard the song "Unanswered Prayers" on a Daytime talk show that I went and got my first Garth Brooks album or in my case cassette tape.
I had a friend who had this as the last song on a gangsta rap mix tape cassette, I was like wtf!

Garth is a Legend!!! 👏 A forever fan of his, and enjoying your reactions to his music. The rabbit hole goes deep!
Hello there Amy nice meeting you here
OH NO!!!! They didn't do the 3rd verse!!!!! You have GOT to watch a live show of this song!!!!!!!
This, he normally only does that during concerts.
"Standing outside the fire" is a must but you need to find the official music video (Ik that can be difficult with Garth) it tells a great story
even the live version, with the flames coming up from the stage is iconic
I prefer the concert clips with the 3rd verse.. but this is a nice one because of the great video quality.
The best concert I've ever been to.
Best concert I ever went to! Garth is always best live.
Thing about a Garth show is that, he could hit a single note and the crowd goes nuts. He could start a song and before the second line the while entire crowd has pretty much taken over singing the songs the whole concert
Please watch his fantastic "If Tomorrow Never Comes" One of the most beautiful songs ever!!
You have to see his concert version of this with the 3rd verse😂😂😂
The quintessential Garth Brooks song is “The Dance”.
You’ve got to watch this when he does it at a stadium concert !!!!!
Hello there Janet nice meeting you here
Girl… this is THE COUNTRY ANTHEM!
Hello there nice meeting you here 😊
There's an .. "infamous" .. 3rd verse to this song you can only find on Live specials like one he did in New York's Central Park.
LOOK FOR IT.
Energy is right you should see him in concert.
This is the song that made Garth Brooks the superstar that he is today. He had previous hits with If Tomorrow Never Comes and Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old, but Friends In Low Places really launched his career.
One of the greatest country music artists ever
This song was everywhere when it came out & is still played in about any music bar you go to.
Friends in Low Places is what breathed life back into country music and made it amazing and so much fun for the line dancers , 2 steppers and swing dancers
I lived in SoCal during that time and it was amazing at the clubs and bars across Cali , country music and life style was everywhere !
you shouldve done this song from a stadium concert listening to 50k plus sing this song is real fun
If you think this is a lot of energy, you should see him in concert. OH BOY! That’s a lot of energy. He revs up the audience and they rev him up. And the only time I ever saw him in concert was when he was the opening act for The Judds Farewell Tour.
The fact that you like his energy makes sense giving that he has the most entertainer of the year awards.
If you ever get a chance to see him live, go! He is amazing
Hello there Kim nice meeting you here
Oh and he flies across the concert venue over top fans while he sings at one concert.
Hello there Kat nice meeting you here
OMG!!! You need to find a version with the famous third verse!!! It's SPECTACULAR!!!🎶🎼🎵🎸🎹🎤🎙🎧🤘🤘🤘
you should do this song live at 1 of his concerts he has a3rd verse that cant be played on the radio
You should listen to the whole song.. It has a third verse
You need to listen to another live version. It's got another verse he only plays live on certain settings. It's the best verse of the song.
There’s a great video of him doing the third verse live with Justin Timberlake at a concert in Nashville. Also, he looks different because hr retired at the very height of his career to raise his children. I know you’ve mentioned you’re from the South. So am I. Garth does a song called "Mom". It is so beautiful, and shows his sensitive side.
Hello there Carolyn nice meeting you here
Try finding his live performance in New York City Central Park over a million people attended. It was great and I think there is video on youtube.
I don't like country, but I love GARTH BROOKS.
Britt also check out Friends In Low Places with the 3rd verse and The Thunder Rolls with the 3rd verse too
Hello there Nicole nice meeting you here

You HAVE to go to a Garth concert! You will NOT be disappointed!
Hello there Rebecca nice meeting you here
And yes Garth is the most positive and energetic person ever..
Add Kenny Chesney to that!? 🔥🥰
This is one of those songs, you play in a bar and 95% of the people in there will know this and will start singing it. Vocals will fill the bar lol.
My favorite is the concert where he spotted a sign CHEMO THIS MORNING, GARTH TONIGHT in this KICK CANCER’S ASS video! Shows the true Garth.
You need to hear the official video.
I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when this song was released and it absolutely skyrocketed him to a Country god status where he’s remained ever since! That was in the early 90s
Best thing about Garth is his values. He stepped away when he was at the top to help raise his children, got to respect that because few would.
You should really check out the third verse to this song. It's hilarious!
Hi Brittany, when just beginning Garth performed with and was a fan of Chris LeDoux(a true cowboy, winning the World Bareback Championship & being in the Rodeo Hall of Fame) they became fast friends. Everytime I watch a video of Garth Brooks doing this song I always hope it's one he does the third verse in
Seeing him in person, is like nooooo other, his vibe and energy penetrates through ever one in the whole stadium, girlfriend he would blow your mind, he is a must see artist, you would thank me later !!!

He is a generous and genuine guy very down to earth.
Unanswered Prayers is one of my favorites by him!!
Ask Garth where the bodies are!
...and tell 'em Tom Segura and the Mommies sent you to find out!
this song was played at my sons wedding reception everyone loved it
He still sounds good, He's 61 years old.
Please react to a concert version of Friends in Low Places. That way you can hear the Infamous Third Verse of the Song. Several of garth Brooks songs you have to see the Live Concert Version!
A garth concert is an event! Just agood time, nuttin but fun.
That energy you speak of permeates everything he does. He hosted Saturday Night Live...both feet in. The more ridiculous and over the top the sketch the more enthusiastic he was, simply awesome.

I LOVE seeing Garth on Kelly’s tv show, they always have so much fun together!
Hello there Susan nice meeting you here
You should see her tribute to Garth at the Kennedy Venter Honors
I was born in the late 60s, am an absolute classic rock listener, that LOVES this song. I like that about Garth. He has a song or tune that can cross boundaries.

Dang I'm old , must be a 30 year old song. My fav of Garth's is The Dance. Gets me right in the feels.
This is a true southern anthem right up there with "Sweet Home Alabama" & "A Country Boy Can Survive"!
Garth is the only artist that can sell out 60k seat stadium and will do 3 shows in one night and sell out each show
Please check out his wife, Trisha Yearwood!
Hello there Renee nice meeting you here
I finally went to my first Garth Brooks concert last year and he is still bringing the energy! I would love for you to react to his song Standing Outside the Fire. The music video is Amazing!!! ❤
Hello there Sandie nice meeting you here
Friends in low places has a 3rd verse. If you want to hear it try Garth singing with Justin Timberlake.
Another great song with a mystery last verse that you won't hear on the radio. Check it out
Britt check out Standing Outside The Fire by Garth. The video is incredible and the lyrics are as well!!!
This is easily the most popular Garth song. Its also the 2nd most played song in karaoke bars.......right after Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet. And ONLY because every Caribbean cruise liner has at least 2 karaoke bars on board plus 18 in every port.
This song is the defining song of Garth's career. He's had many hits, but every Garth fan loves this song.
"What's she's doing now" or "When there's Nobody Around" are a couple of my favs.
The first time I saw Garth Brooks he was the opening act a George Strait concert, nobody knew his name, but everybody left knowing they'd seen a start.
Have you heard the 3rd verse of Friends In Low Places? Find the live concert on TH-cam where he sings it. Love you and your reactions!
Love Garth and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, who has an amazing voice
Hello there Cindy nice meeting you here
This and "Take me home, Country Roads" by John Denver may be two of the biggest sing a long songs ever. It's impossible to not sing a long to them.
I'm not a big country fan, but I've heard some of the old stuff and some of the new stuff. When I decided to revisit what I missed from the 90s, Brooks back in the day sounded like an accountant on karaoke night at the local country western bar.
He’s older. He took years off to raise his kids through school. Now he’s back and still awesome. He got older, gained weight, and grew a beard.
You would Absolutely Live “ Aint Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up “ live version!!!
Go back a few years and listen to "Shameless"; a powerful song!
Thanks! Check out Garth at the ACM Awards 1999 doing Make You Feel My Love.... you'll throw your panties 😁🤣💓💓💓
A great song by Garth Brooks "The Change."
Watch his video for "Ain't going down till the sun comes up", the guy treats a Country concert like a Rock concert
This song was so HUGE!!!!
You should watch the live concert version where the audience takes over and sing lol epic epic epic
