I saw him live once, maybe twice, and in his younger days, he would be running across the stage. He isn't just a musician, he is an entertainer and performer.
Yes, there was some studios out around Backers Field , California that recorded lots of country music for Merle Haggard , Buck Owens , And Dwight Yokum .
If you ever watch any documentaries about him, you'll see him climbing the catwalks and hanging lights in preparation for his concerts. He runs all around the stage and he used to fly out over the audience in a harness - all while singing beautifully! Yes, he's a VERY physical performer!
He would do televised concerts, and on one of them he actually set the stage on fire. Of course, it was kind of controlled fire, but one of his songs called Standing Outside the Fire and so he had a controlled fire around the entire stage. Enter part of the song he sang within the fire and then nearest by the end of the stage he’s seeing outside the fire, so is it part of The story of his song. If I can find a clip I will attach it here.
I wonder if there's video of it, because Britt would lose her mind😂 He was a wild man and so much fun to watch ❤ I have a 5 CD set of his songs and never get tired of listening to them! My son's and nephews saw him in concert and they were jacked up all night when they got back😂❤
Garth is pure entertainment and the hardest working musician on stage ever. He makes it impossible not to enjoy him. (FYI-“Rodeo” was also his song in addition to “The River”.) I was really impressed how well he impersonated the voices of other artists! Lol!
Garth took a break from his career when he was #1 to raise his 3 daughters. To say goodbye he gave a free concert in Central Park. He had Billy Joel and Don McClean in it to. It was broadcast live on TV and radio. It was packed. I surrounded myself with stereos and had those and the TV blasting.I warned my neighbors ahead of time. And told them they could call a swat team and I still wouldn't turn it down. Because that would probably be as close I ever would get to one of Garths concerts. It was wonderful ❤️
@@heathgreen9275 That's not true. He signed on to record the music for a movie about a fictional rock star named Chris Gaines, and put out an album of that music. He retired to raise his girls; moved back to Oklahoma. He did several charity concerts, and did his one man show at the Wynn from 2009-2014, and then came out of retirement with his world tour from 2014-2017, the stadium tour from 2018-2022, and will be starting his Vegas residency this year.
It was HUGELY PACKED. There were people from other countries like Scotland, there! That was my favorite concert! I actually saw him Live in IL once, with Trisha Yearwood, his previous wife!
Garth gives 100% all the time every time. His concerts are amazing. He's very humble and very generous. If you get a chance to see him live do not miss it!
He won the CMA Entertainer of the Year 7 times and, in 2020, announced, “We are officially pulling ourselves out. It's time for somebody else to hold that award and know what that feels like, because they're all out there busting their butts."
OMG Britt thank you for putting this out there.. Garth can do anyting.. but I've never seen this b4... thank u and OMG.. just got rhythm and blues... wow...
Garth Brooks is the BEST EVER!! He is the reason I picked up the guitar at 12yo... and became a guitarist/singer/song writer and all around entertainer! Been doing it for 30 years now! Actually grew up with the nick name Baby Garth! Even funnier... I use to live down the road from him when I was 12-14 years old in Oklahoma. Never got the chance to meet him.. but I did see him many times out in his back field with his horses. Anyways... Yes.. Garth Brooks is AMAZING!! Very funny too!!
Love the channel. Garth is a real humanitarian. He stopped a concert once when he saw a fan with cancer holding a sign saying that that she went through chemo that morning.
Oooh Garth is amazing! Outstanding entertainer. Ooooh! Woooo! My favs: * Ain't Goin' Down 'Til The Sun Comes Up * Friends In Low Places * If Tomorrow Never Comes * Rodeo * Shameless * The Dance * The River * The Thunder Rolls * We Belong To Each Other * We Shall Be Free So many great songs. He wrote "We Shall Be Free" and took all kinds of flack over it. But it's got about the best message ever for the world. He's fantastic! He has a huge heart, always giving so much to various charities, his community and beyond. Just love him!!!! Please consider reacting to one of his live performance songs from the 1980s or 1990s because he was soooooo acrobatic and all over the stage. Incredible entertainer! Thank you for another great reaction.
7 time Entertainer of the year winner. Garth is my all time favorite singer in musical history. I was at this very show the night it was filmed in Las Vegas. He is the most diverse and incredible singer I have ever seen. I've been to 14 Garth Brooks concerts. I was so damn sad when he retired😞. Thank you Garth for making history in the Country music industry. Your are one amazing, kind, funny and whole hearted entertainer!!!
He never went to Folsom Prison.😂😂. He did go to jail and prison a lot as a young man. Cash sang “Folsom Prison” in a concert which Merle attended while in prison but not at Folsom. Cash held the concert at San Quentin where Merle was.
If you wanna see him really move, do a reaction to Ain’t Going Down til the sun comes up, live version. Talk about energy. He is an absolutely amazing performer
I have had the absolute pleasure to have seen Garth in concert 8 and a half times and EVERY ONE was amazing. You have to see the rest of this concert it is amazing and hilarious as well. Thanks for brightening my day.
Chris Ledoux was the 1976 bare back bronc champion at the National Finals Rodeo, riding the bronc, Stormy Weather. He sold his tapes out of the back of his car at rodeo shows. He became famous because of Garth Brooks including the line "Worn out tapes of Chris Ledoux" in his song, "I'm Too Young to Feel this Damned Old." He went on to sell out major stadiums and Garth readily admits that he stole his style of concerts from Chris. The two were lifelong friends until Chris tragically died due to liver cancer. Chris' song, "This Cowboy's Hat" is a must listen, especially since you love story songs.
Garth is the Top Selling US Solo Artist OF ALL TIME!! He has 9 Diamond Albums, which means they sold over 10 million copies each! I've seen him in concert 8 times, but the best one was in Worcester, Ma. My husband and I were in 3rd row, right in front of center stage!!!!! The concert was INCREDIBLE! I have been such a huge fan of Garth since he first appeared in Nashville in 1989. I have a massive Garth tattoo with his signature on my left arm! There are a million and one reasons to LOVE Garth! He's an incredible human being! I hope you have seen the whole performance on DVD by now. It's how I got my husband, who used to hate country music, to love Garth! I HIGHLY recommend the A&E Documentary, Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On. You will learn EVERYTHING about him... and be in awe of him as a human being! So damn powerful! It's a 4-hour, 2-part documentary that's worth EVERY second!!!
I saw him in the 90s and he ran across the stage, jumped off the side of the stage, grabbed the curtain and climbed up to the balcony. He put on a hell of a show
James Taylor did a bunch of TH-cam videos on how to play his songs. He did one on Fire and Rain. Just watching him play that song brought me to tears. He is amazing.
If Garth tours, he's hands down Entertainer of the Year. I believe he even stepped aside to make sure others could win . But I could be wrong as well . But he's is unbelievable live .
Some of my favorite country singers would be Ronny milsap, wagon wheel by old crow medicene show! Country really took off in 1900s, and didnt stop growing
You Gooootttttaaaa see him in concert very fun, physical. You can tell he loves his music and even more so Loooves his audiance! Heck, lol, sometimes he just stands back in glory and disbelief as the whole venue take over and sings his songs back to him, with tears in his eyes! This guy is truly loved and once you've experienced him live, you'll be singing in the choir too!
My wife and i were junkies. Saw him 18 times in eight different states. We were members of an "A-List," 100 people allowed to be escorted backstage and literraly hang out with him before the shows. Was on his bus twice. The man is singularly genuine when it comes to rapport with fans and his kindness to them. I pulled off getting him to propose to my wife from the stage during his world-tour-opening show in Denver, CO. ... Just an incredible time getting to know him and attend the concerts. ... I truly hope you were able to take in a show, Brit! Your react channel is top shelf!!
This man was made for the stage!! The amount of energy he brings on stage and shares with the crowd is palpable!! Such an amazing artist!!! ❤ Had to add when you mentioned seeing one of his concerts!! They are wild!! He came to Baton Rouge last year and when he sang “Calling Baton Rouge” you could hear him and the crowd for 2 miles around tiger stadium!!!
I’m in the Spokane, WA area and Garth performed here for the first time just over 5 years ago. Well, they underestimated our love for him. He was set to put on 1 show but the tickets FLEW for that one so they decided to add another show but the same thing happened. He ended up selling out 7 shows and made us all sooo happy! I’ve never been to a better concert - ever. Garth has a way of making you feel like you’re at the best party of your life - well, you and a few thousand of his closest friends. 😅 If you ever get a chance to go to one, sell your soul for a ticket! You won’t regret it.
As others have said he puts on one of the best concerts you'll ever see. I had heard all of Garth's songs since 1989's Much Too Young and The Dance. But when he came to town I didn't think much about going to the concert. A friend of mine though convinced me to go and I was not disappointed. He plays nothing but his hits and is 100% energy from start to finish. He draws you in and you can't help but have a good time.
Porter Wagoner used to have his own music/TV show. He was the one who gave Dolly Parton her start in music. When she decided to break up the duet and go on her own, her famous song I Will Always Love You, was written by her for Porter Wagoner. Garth Brooks was the reason I started listening to country music. I've seen him in concert 3 times back in the mid to late 90's. He broke the mold on what a country concert used to be. His concerts were extraordinary and amazing. He's also the only country singer, or singer period who had released 3 albums in a row where there wasn't a single song on them that I didn't absolutely love. Garth Brooks is one of the greatest music performers of all time.
@@williamwilkins3046 OK, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions. I do find the song you mention interesting, being the only one you like. Because there are several songs of his that can be easily compared to that one in tone and pitch....etc. Such as The Dance. A very similar song in many ways. Yet you don't care for any of those? Just that one? Im curious, when did you first hear If tomorrow never comes?
Merle Haggard was in prison several times in his youth, but when he got out of San Quinton (sp?)in 1960 he turned his life around. He is known for Country, Outlaw Country, and Bakersfield Sound. And I learned that from another country star named Dwight Yokam (sp?) who is also worth looking into.
Loved your reaction!! Garth is King! Ya know we really get to know our favorite reactors. The looks on your faces, your body language, the tone of your voice. When you reacted to GNR's, Paradise City...you looked like you were in pain! Like you couldn't wait for it to end. I thought it was the funniest thing I've seen! They're from my generation and I love them!! But you were the cutest! Thanks for what you do @BrittReacts !!
His concerts are phenomenal, and you are right he is all over the place during them. I got to see him for my first concert when I was I believe 9 years old and he came to Tacoma, WA for his 93-94 tour. He was running all over the stage, jumping off things, and the first time I had ever seen anyone smash a guitar lol. Definitely something I will always remember.
Garth ruled the ’90s and early 2000’s his albums were all platinum, his concerts were all sold out and he was winning all the awards. He kinda opened the door to the big flashy country concerts. Huge productions. He pushed the envelope with some of his stuff. Couple weird (Chris Gaines) things. Then he retired. Went away for quite a bit. Resurfaced 5-10 years ago doing limited appearances and such.
My husband and I were groupies... saw him 17 times in 7 different states. He proposed from the stage for my husband in Denver. We loved Garth. Talk about a physical performer... google the chalk outline his stage hands made after he fell the night before in concert from a ladder. He also has a photographic memory. He can tell you where a picture was taken a year before, just against a white wall. Amazingly kind person. FYI... we loved watching you enjoy Garth.
Ive been a Garth fan since 4yrs old, im now 35 and my reaction to garth is exactly yours. His voice is beyond amazing, he is amazing. Love him so much!
I lived in Nebraska on a ranch as an exchange student in 1991. Pure tough, cowboy life. I started listening to Garth back then and loved his music. All the concerts were sold out in the US. In 1994 I went with my mom to his concert here in Stockholm, Sweden. You could hear a pin drop. We were way back and my mom said Screw this, let's go to the front. We had Garth and his band sweat on us for two hours. It was awesome. Too bad nobody was there to witness and hear it.
What I love most about Garth is he's just a guy; I guy that loves music and his fans. I saw him in person when we were both at OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma at a small bar. Very much like this, it was him, his guitar and a bar stool on a small stage. Singing the songs everyone loved. I knew someday this incredibly talented man was going to make it BIG in Country Music. Listening to his music still makes me happy today. At his shows he leaves everyone happy that they spent the money to see him and unlike the others in the music business he genuinly cares about his fans. I love this man so much.❤😊
He is the greatest musician I've ever heard and your reaction and grasp of what he means to music is fantastic. I saw him live at 32nd Street Naval base in 1992 and that's all it took to realize he's the greatest entertainer that I'll ever see.
Garth is one of the best concerts I have been to. This man has so much energy for the entire show and it's just magical imo. The Vegas residency he is going to start soon tho won't be a typical Garth show but more of an intimate show but will still be incredible.
My husband and I have been to two Garth Brooks concerts in the first one. We were right near the rope ladder that he climbed during a song and the second one his drummer was in caged in a steel metal cage ball, and Garth literally climbed on top of it during the performance, so yes, you are in for a major treat if you get to go to one of his concerts.
Garth was one of the best concerts I have ever been to . 2 hours and 45 minutes of nothing but non stop high energy performance of real talent . I have also had the pleasure of seeing both Haggard and Jones in concert . Amazing legends . Love your reactions
Chris LeDoux was the 1976 PRCA World Champion Bareback Bronc Rider, as well as an acclaimed Grammy nominated singer- songwriter and bronze sculpter from Kaycee, Wyoming. He wrote and sang about the rodeo life. He recorded 36 albums, 22 of which he released independently from 1971 to 1990. He rodeoed professionally from 1969 till he retired in about 1984. Five years later, Garth Brooks released to country radio "Much Too Young ( To Feel This Damn Old)," his first single that was a top ten record. The song was about an aging bronc rider on the rodeo circuit trying to compete against the younger generation, who now has a broken heart because his woman left him. In that song, he mentions "a worn out tape of Chris LeDoux." That helped catapult LeDoux to national fame and land a record deal with Capitol Records. Chris and Garth would eventually meet and become great friends and record a few songs together, including the top ten duet "Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" in 1992. Throughout the 90's, Chris LeDoux recorded several successful albums, his most popular probably being Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy. If you get a chance, take a listen to "This Cowboy's Hat," which is considered by many his signature song. You'll be hooked!
Thank you Brit. I love your perspective and knowledge! I know it's not possible but, I wish I could know ya. =) Keep doin what yer doin!! Yer smile is enchanting, and those dimples are magical!! Thank you for being so sweet!! Jim
I went to a Garth concert in ‘96 by default, my friend had a ticket and her other friend bailed out. I didn’t know much of his music at the time. It was by far one of the best concert I’d ever been to! The never ending energy, the amazing talent and his incredible songs drew me right in! Have loved him every since. Great reaction Brit, I’m enjoying your channel very much! Thanks❤
I actually got to see this show, think it was near the start of its run. It was absolutely amazing. Up near the front, on the left.. only time I've been to Vegas and it was definitely an experience.
He is really fun live. ❤my favorite was prince concert. But only cuz it was in a tiny venue. But the Garth brooks concert. Soooooo fun. And easily my fav show. Please check out more. Plus his wife Trisha yearwood, is soul/country. Just amazing. The two together is just magical.
Great reaction little lady! I saw him live when he was big, and wow he was a performer for sure, was a great show for sure. This was when I was stationed at Ft Bragg, just an amazing guy for sure.
This was a great Show... I have it on DVD. Garth was famous for runnin' and jumpin' on stage... He was the first "Rock Star" in Country Music. 😀 Screaming and having fun... And in the next minute, you can see tears in his eyes, when the audience sings songs like "The river" or "The Dance" louder than he does. :) GREAT entertainer! And if you like "Ain't no sunshine", you should check out Geoff Castellucci's version of it! GREAT!!!
Also FYI Porter Wagoner had an old TV show that featured Dolly Parton early in her career. The song "I will always love you" was written to him when she moved on and left the show. The performance you reacted to was live from his show from her last appearance
Garth Brooks was my first concert. Saw him again 25 years later. What a legend. His voice is just amazing.// Side note. I realized I've been enjoying so many of your reactions but realized I never subscribed. That has been remedied.
I have been to several of his concerts the first concert I ever went to at 16 in the early 90s was his and I was blown away and thought are all concerts like this? What have I been missing out on? The thing I find so captivating about him is how much crowd-performer interaction he has with what feels like every person there! He makes u feel so special like u r literally the only person in the room each and every time and he creates those special moments in all of his shows. It comes from a true place of appreciation and adoration for his fans that I have never seen in any other artists at any other show and I have been to ALOT of them! He is truly amazing…talent beyond belief and a super hard work ethic and the humbleness that u rarely find in people as famous as he is. He is hands down the person that I set the bar to amongst vocalist and true artists of their craft. He absolutely loves what he does and every minute on that stage and off just as sweet and kind as a human being..great father and devoted husband to Ms. Yearwood. We r so blessed to have ever been touched by this man’s God given talent and I never take it for granted every time I am blessed enough to hear him live and be a part of his show..it truly is life changing!
I have this whole concert on DVD. It is about a 2 hour show. Very entertaining! It was aired as a cbs special in 2014. He just wrapped up his mega multi-year stadium tour last summer. He is headed back to Vegas this summer to Caesars Palace for a multi-year show.
Best live performer ever. I’ve seen live 3 times over different stages of his career. It’s always a high energy show that still never disappoints. He wants no one to leave disappointed. And for the last several years he does an improv part halfway while his band rests where he takes requests from the audience…of other people songs! Who does that?! And they plays them like he just truly loves music and his vast influences. Just WOW!
I saw him live once, maybe twice, and in his younger days, he would be running across the stage. He isn't just a musician, he is an entertainer and performer.

Had to add when you mentioned seeing one of his concerts!! They are wild!! He came to Baton Rouge last year and when he sang “Calling Baton Rouge” you could hear him and the crowd for 2 miles around tiger stadium!!!
Garth live is in an elite class. The entertainment is unreal. Saw him at Ceasers in Vegas last year. AMAZING.
It is about time Garth told us where the bodies are buried. 😅
Good stuff. Fun stuff like that.
Touch my camera through the fence
BIKES
Feather it!
You need to watch the entire show of Garth Brooks at the Wynn.
Only song he ever sung that I liked was, if tomorrow never comes. Other than that I just can't listen to him.
A couple of must react to by Garth Brooks are Friends In Low Places and The Dance. 👍
The man's a legend.
He is the real deal, for sure!
Ayyy shout out from a fellow cowboy on a ranch in Nebraska haha
@@huckwild1 😇💪
I went to one and I just didn't like him, my wife loved it though.
Absolutely fantastic reaction video! Thank you for sharing
This is the first time I’ve seen this concert - it’s great and shows his fabulous talent. Love your reactions as well.
You had a smile on your face the entire time, no way to explain how cool that is.
I was there for this concert was the best show I have ever been to
Living proof that Garth can do any kind of music.
A true entertainer!
Was able to see him in Lexington ky in 1988 what a show so much energy he was everywhere on stage great performance and his voice was awesome.
Thank you Brit. I love your perspective and knowledge! I know it's not possible but, I wish I could know ya. =)
Keep doin what yer doin!!
Yer smile is enchanting, and those dimples are magical!!
Thank you for being so sweet!!
Jim
I got all his records albums and cds too and dvd performance on live stage too Britt.👍
A Garth show is nothing short of amazing!!
Been to a lot of concerts in my life of my different genres and Garth will always be one of my favorites
I’ve seen him 4 times, once was this show. Going back to see him in Vegas in May.
Hands down, the BEST ENTERTAINER I’ve ever seen.
This was a great Show... I have it on DVD.
Garth was famous for runnin' and jumpin' on stage... He was the first "Rock Star" in Country Music. 😀
Screaming and having fun... And in the next minute, you can see tears in his eyes, when the audience sings songs like "The river" or "The Dance" louder than he does. :)
GREAT entertainer!
And if you like "Ain't no sunshine", you should check out Geoff Castellucci's version of it! GREAT!!!
I just started crying to hear him again, with a new person hearing what he gave to us all, it's not about anything but love.
Also FYI Porter Wagoner had an old TV show that featured Dolly Parton early in her career. The song "I will always love you" was written to him when she moved on and left the show. The performance you reacted to was live from his show from her last appearance
I love Garth!! I have never seen this it is fantastic ❤
I've seen him twice in concert, and both were so different AND the 2 best concerts I have ever been to!
Rodeo and The River are both Garth songs ;)
Love Garth!!! He is one of the best performers ever. This was so entertaining. But…I love Simon and Garfunkel too lol! 😅
He is definitely an entertainer! Awesome to see live😊
I soooooo enjoyed this!!! Thank you
Garth Brooks was my first concert. Saw him again 25 years later. What a legend. His voice is just amazing.// Side note. I realized I've been enjoying so many of your reactions but realized I never subscribed. That has been remedied.
Saw him at Notre Dame last year when he was 60, he runs all over the stage, all night. Best concerts are Garth concerts.
He's a great story teller and musical talent.
He actually sang two of his songs. The other one was written by his friend Chris LaDoux and was on his album Ropin' The Wind.
Just WOW!
I love Garth! He put out a box set of his influences, called Blame It All on My Roots. The title is so Appropriate!
