A quick camping hack, take some of the deck tiles and lay them out in front of the entrance to your tent or trailer to scrape off some of the dirt. It's extra handy when it rains because now you have a spot out of the mud. And the pleated shades are great for camper windows. We use them for our teardrop doors.
Gotta give another shout out to those removable hooks at the beginning. I have 6 of them holding up three Skadis boards on the wall full of paint bottles, brushes and small tools. 3M hooks didn't work at all, but these held up super well.
I can recommend the Schottis blinds - I suggest considering the idea of sticking the fixed end of the blind at the bottom of the window, and then you can add pieces of the velcro at intervals along the sides of the frame, as well as at the top, and you can lift the blind fully up (closed) or place the top of it somewhere in the middle, so you can look out when standing up, but have privacy when sitting down. The horizontal suggestion is on the IKEA webpage, and works really well too - my sister's house has two windows facing a footpath, so we cut a Schottis in half and placed the two halves horizontally across the bottom of the windows for privacy whilst still allowing lots of light inside. Amazing price for how nice they look, so cheap that I would even use them on a temporary basis whilst sourcing more permanent blinds or curtains.
I can see their value to renters but they can be just as useful to those who don't rent. My favorites are the headboard which l would probably paint and possinly thtead a ribbon or faux leather strap through the open edges. I also see the room divider as a potential art project, although they are lovely just as they are.
I love hooks like those, even as a non renter I use ones from 3M that are readily available where I live because I don’t want to put holes in the walls I repaired and painted. And maybe I change my mind a lot and don’t want holes everywhere 😊 If the IKEA adhesive pulls off easily like the ones I use, I will switch because those look nicer. I just love how you present things and are so uplifting. Shopping IKEA online by myself and their awful photos isn’t fun at all like this❤
Awww thank you so much 🥹💞 It really means the world to me that you enjoy my videos!! Some people in the comments said they used the hooks and are satisfied, but if you've found something that works, stick to it 🥰
Love watching these, I am always logged into my IKEA account while watching and add the ones I like to my Wishlist for when I make my bi-monthly purchases. Thank you for these previews!!
Those hooks look great. Most of our walls are solid and a real pain to drill into, so the hooks are a good solution for that. Hope Mars' paw gets better soon, give him a big kiss❤
Just discovered you, love your videos. I'm a huge IKEA fan, actually going there in a couple of days so your videos are very timely. Hope Mars' paw has recovered, he's adorable.💚
This is a great idea for an episode as IKEA does have many solutions when you don't want to drill into your walls. Even as an owner living in a 1880 Victorian I never want to drill and many items like these are practical to avoid doing so. I am specially a fan of the RUNNEN flooring as it has served in flooring in our laundry room, our balcony before it was upgraded to a deck, but my favorite use is to size it to use in a walk-in shower. It immediately upgrades any shower floor to that Spa feeling! _I hope Mars gets a good night's sleep and feels better in the morning. Good night / good morning from the US._
Yes! Love the RUNNEN flooring and I'm thinking of getting it for my balcony, but I'm afraid it will collect a lot of dirt. Will try it out for sure 🥰 And thank you so much - Mars is feeling a lot better 🫶
Love your Ikea videos! I’m not a renter but there are times I don’t want to drill holes in my walls either so these are great options! I hope Mars is okay. He is always so sleepy; I would love a video with him in action
Yes, me too 🙌 I'm not renting but could use all of these Ikea finds 🥰 So glad you liked the video. Mars is running a lot, and I usually always start filming after his walk, so that's why he's always sleeping 🥹 But I am thinking of doing a vlog sometimes. We'll see 🤗
The "Schottis" shades are not renter-friendly because the glue is extremely sticky. I had to spend hours cleaning off the glue with nail polish remover. This will probably cause even more trouble on wooden windows.
Also, I hope that Mars paw PAD heals quickly! George has had a couple of those too- so hard to keep covered on that spot! Do you know they sell little rubber booties for babes like ours? They're fantastic and not hard to walk in once they get adjusted!
I bought a former rental apartment. The tenants were not shy about putting holes everywhere. Walls, door frames, wardrobes....They even painted part of a wall into a blackboard. I couldn't believe how many shelves they installed instead of just buying something like a bookcase...
@SmartSWORD, Not that often I see that someone's from Punta del Este__I was there in May of 1995, visiting my aunt's in-laws in Montevideo. Someday I would like to visit again in your spring/summer months, as mostly everything was closed when I was there. I really enjoyed visiting the beaches and your famous artist's house. Now I have to take out the photos I took of the houses and people there, and reminisce. 😛 Love, Light, and Blessings. 🙏😇✨💫🌱🌿🌻🐝🌳🌎💖🙌😺
The sunnersta rack 😣 I bought it for my apartment in japan without knowing that the space between my kitchen counter and the cabinets was freakingly tall.. so i think i still have it stored down my sofa.. it was very frustrating bc i thought it was the perfect idea for the kitchen 😩
@@HomeByMon yeah, me too😣 but when i saw it in your video gave a nostalgic memory about it. Btw i love your videos and gives a lot of ideas!! Big fan!! ☺️☺️☺️

Omg YES!! That's such a smart idea 🙌🤗 I'm trying it out this summer 💞
That is very cleaver. Festival season is coming up and it's always muddy in Ireland

That wireless lamp and charging station is awesome
I live in a house but I still watch renter friendly guides because I can't be bothered to install anything complicated
Yes! I agree
I have plaster walls and am so afraid of drilling into them. I really appreciate the hooks in your video. I hope Mars gets well soon!! ❤
Oh yes, I feel you! Drilling in plaster is tricky 🙌 And thank you so much 🥹🫶 Mars is feeling better already 💘
That Sunnersta line looks so useful. I've never seen it on the IKEA site before, so I'm glad you featured it.
