I just purchased this watch in Las Vegas last week. I got so lucky as I was going into a Cartier Store to buy a black face. When I seen the green with the green strap I was hooked! got the Lagre model with the date and I love it!!! This is my second Cartier and I love it!!
Congratulations on your new Santos. I’ve had mine for close to three years, and I can tell you the scratches will eventually all come together, and you won’t even notice it after a while.
Done deal!! Thank you...I love Cartier my x wife worked for Cartier we had many watches that both would wear. I don't mind a watch scratched up I wear my Nautilus 5711 everyday it is bomb proof. Patek is not a great service company they show favoritism with their customers $$$$$$$$ . Back in the 80s they were pompus with service like Ferrari. Cartier i own mechanical pencils and pens. Always a treat to have them service. The watches are loved by ladies they are truly sexy watch. My Patek no one knows what i have on only guys that love cars, watches and coffee 😮!!!
@@BIG2hats I love it on the indian dial exclusive, the one available in the middle east limited edition, that is the perfect green cartier santos watch, pretty difficult to get a hold of in Europe for a decent price:)
I’ve just purchased a large green santos, stunning. Shade of green is subtle. Med was too small unfortunately for my 8.5” wrists and huge hands. Large is a lovely fit for a larger guy.
Thanks, mate, great review! I vote for green leather strap, so much more unique. Dark green dial makes it very versatile but less flamboyant and interesting looking. I guess it depends on your collection. If that's the only watch - that's great, but if you have quite a few... In terms of scratching the bezel, well, consider this as patina on your expensive shoes. Relax and enjoy ownership of a great timepiece.
@@TheWatchOut the fact you have 2 bracelet options out of the box is quite remarkable too. I'm sure most people will utilise both options. In terms of scratches.... these watches are infamous in that regard. Everybody who makes some research before buying should know about that aspect. It's a bit strange to me hearing this from you. You should've known what you're getting into. Personally, I think you'll go through some time with the watch and just accept the character of it. Just like creases and patina on good shoes. Enjoy!
The value is enormous. This watch, so versatile and so beautiful with two awesome straps (steel and alligator) is nothing short of an awesome proposition. I have the Santos de Cartier Grey with ADLC bezel,….which I am really enjoying,…but I might have to get the Large with the green dial. Can’t resist. The jeweler of Kings!@@i.o.3563
Good review. I like both green strap and bracelet. The green strap compliments the dial and looks more dressy. Santos is one of my favorite Cartier. Cartier brand in my opinion is more gentlemen watch and would say if you collect watches definitely should be in your collection 🤔
Congratulations! Brilliant video. Nice to see an Indian watch review channel. I got a dual colored large santos white dial last month and just love it. Keep up the good work. Oh and I would’ve preferred a more sun burst green dial something like the IWC does on the pilot.
One more thing. Can you shorten your instagram handle. It’s too long to find or type. As you grow a shorter handle helps people tag and reach out. Suggestion. Cheers & good luck.
To be fair, I collect scars. So I enjoy scratches on my watch, because they too record my life (and it is less painful ;)) to the point I will ask Cartier not polish my watch when I will have it serviced in a few years. I think your Green Santos is the most beautiful of the line, and will be even more awesome to wear once the green trend will pass. I was to get the same, but sadly it didn't fit right on me. Nevertheless after trying many models I managed to get the Wow effect with the blue dial. Medium is indeed the size to go with. Very elegant. Congratulations
I am delighted with the fit and presence of my Medium Santos with the white dial. The blue crocodile strap is lovely and very comfortable. I really like the 'bolstering' of the strap which integrates into the case. The Gold Bezel on the two tone seems to help minimise the scratches - I give it a casual rub with a jewellers polishing cloth now and again. It's not my daily watch because nothing is anymore ... I rotate my small collection. The slender curvature of the watch case rear and the curved sapphire crystal are a delight and the watch hugs my wrist like an old friend. It is true that the white dial is probably more instantly legible than the darker dials. The Cartier de Santos is immediately identifiable at a distance - to those who might care about such things. I paid a hefty additional price for that small 18ct gold bezel .....there is a slight decline in the value of my watch but frankly it is academic - it's not going anywhere else!
I bought a blue dial when they came out... liked it, but ended up selling it. Worst decision ever, miss it so much now I'm looking for another, it's just whether to go blue or green dial. Just a hugely underrated watch.
When I fist saw the green dial, I felt instantaneously in love. So I tried it. But something was not right. Then the seller brought me the blue one. It felt as the blue was the perfect watch for me. So I still think the green is absolutely awesome. Nevertheless the blue is like a second skin to me 😊 I guess it goes exactly the other way for some other people.
Agree the strap is looks awesome on this watch,…but the steel bracelet is simply unmatched across all brands and collections. This is the best bracelet made.
Great content as always. I'm the same way. Didn't appreciate Cartier, thought it was too effeminate for my tastes. This one changed my mind. Fun fact, the Santos was the first pilot's watch. Subbed on Insta!

Recently bought my wife a Tank and the sales lady was working hard to sell me a watch, I tried on the Santos medium and wow what a nice looking watch! I really liked it but not a watch guy so would never spend this kind of money on a watch.
Santos is a nice watch. However, the absence of a display case back and the non-standardized direction of the screw heads all over the watch gives it a disorganized appearance to me, contrasting with it with the AP Royal Oak and Bell & Ross BR-03-92.
Great Watch. I initially brought the medium but had to go back and get the large. It’s fine on the the metal bracelet but it’s a little too small on the leather strap.
I wish the dial was a brighter shade of green. I’m still liking it but hesitant to get it because of the problem with scratches on the bezel. I have a Santos-Dumont which I’m also very careful to use. Do you think the scratches come from your sleeves rubbing against it?
You're right. A brighter green dial would've been more visible. Yeah, I think everything scratches it including the sleeves. But I think that you will get used to it in a month or sooner.
i saw this watch in the wild and inquired about it from the gentlemen wearing the watch. the green dial was the most stunning i've seen in person. to my surprise he said that it was a replica. the dial was such a deep green emerald i couldn't take my eyes off it. the watch was fully functional including the easy link and quick release on the bracelet. i'm still shocked when i think about this. this is the reason i haven't bought this watch because i know there's a version of the watch that in my opinion is better
I saw the watch yesterday and making up my mind whether to buy or not . The review about the scratch prone bezel and reflection is making me rethink . Is it a good enough reason to avoid buying and looking at other brands ?
