    I’ve got a Falcon II in black/gilt, and a BB58 in blue (and a few other watches, too). These two watches are my favorites & get the most wrist time. They’re both different enough to be unique & liked for different reasons!

    Excellent comparison and helpful video. Killer watch. Strongly disagree with your two criticisms though. I think they have done a brilliant job of offering great design, quality, reliability and value. I don’t need an extended warranty -ever-and while Bracelet adjust would be nice the extra cost would erode the great value for money. It’s like saying “perfect watch at $500, I just wish it had a 5 year warranty, Swiss movement, adjustable bracelet,…”. Well then it’s not a $500 watch anymore, which means fewer watches and I have to be more careful with it etc.

      @@thomaswoodman4056 Thanks!
      Fair points. But I would happily pay $100-150 more for on the fly adjustment+ an extended warranty.
      Still keeps the price to USD 600-650 and makes the watch almost perfect

    • @alecjarnagin9041
      @alecjarnagin9041 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@TheWatchOut at $150 more for a longer warranty, you'd likely be throwing your money away. Chances are with a Miyota movement, you'll never need the warranty and IF you have an issue after the 12 months, you could likely get it fixed for $150. I haver four Loriers. Great watches and fabulous people behind them.

    I would prefer the Lorier Neptune if it had the dimensions of the BB54 specifically a 37-38mm case as having 6in wrist I don't think is gonna sit well at least the ones I tried with that size.

    • @SaurabhPethe
      @SaurabhPethe 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My wrist is 6" too, and the Neptune wears great!
      The lug to lug is the more important factor, and both these have the same lug to lug measurement.

    • @werejuststupid
      @werejuststupid หลายเดือนก่อน

      This watch wears smaller than it indicates. Keep in mind case size doesn't tell you a lot about how its gonna look on wrist. Also the website advertised pictures are on a 6 inch wrist. I think it looks good. You never really know unless you try it on. Its probably the most comfortable watch I've tried on so far.

  • @TheSilgit

    When i pause at 7:42 i can see your BB54 has misaligned pip and 12 hour marker, for that price it's unacceptable. That laurier looks flawless, the caliber isn't the most appealing though.

    • @TheWatchOut
      @TheWatchOut  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      According to Tudor, that's within the acceptable deviation for the lume pip. On a day to day basis, it doesn't bother me.

    I know this is subjective, but I think the refinement in design and construction make the Tudor look like it's worth about 10 times more. Considering that, you could argue that it's pretty good value!

    The oversized crown and thin bezel are areas where the Neptune falls short. Lorier has a really awesome brand aesthetic overall, though. The Falcon has always caught my eye, but I've already built a Spork and Ranger homage and I feel it's too similar to those two.

  • @Mauricio.Solorzano
    @Mauricio.Solorzano 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Honestly, I don't like that Lorier cut corners by puting Acrylic/Plexiglass crystals in their watches, which can scratch. Today, most micro-brands and Chinese watches have Sapphire crystal in their watches - did you mention that the Tudor is COSC certified??? Mine even came with a COSC certificate. I would never buy one of these watches ... too expensive and they are not great.

    • @TheWatchOut
      @TheWatchOut  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I honestly don't think that Lorier cut corners with the acrylic crystal. They are intentionally going for that, because it gives a mid century look.
      And I actually prefer it over a sapphire crystal in this case.
      But of course, the Tudor movement is significantly better than the Lorier's. That's no comparison
