I really appreciate a mech that doesn't immediately look like a gundam. Nothing wrong with gundams, I just like seeing a variety
the MAILeS linage is basically how to design a humanoid robot without using human anatomy as a reference as treat it like a vehicle like a car or something.

Looks like an interesting and more overtly mechanical mecha kit which is nice to see. I’ll definitely be getting this or the main version of this but that’s dependant on what accessories the other comes with. Overall this is a nice change from the kits based on the Gundam series and I look forward to seeing the more unusual designs (like the Bunyip) as this line continues.

Feels like these AMAIM kits will lend themselves nicely to military custom liveries or paint jobs. There's a distinct "real world proof-of-concept developmental prototype" look and feel to their design that doesn't feature in Gundam all that frequently these days - the last few mobile suits that gave me that impression were the Tieren from 00 and the Loto from Unicorn. I'll wait around for the other designs before I buy, but the Byakuchi and Bunyip Boomerang have been very promising thus far.
This mech is from a prequel story published in the last two hobby japan magazines. Its a bunch of text printed over a big 2 page spread photo of a diorama from a scene of the story. It also features some scratch build enemy mechs that looks pretty neat! The magazines highlight how they've been made as well. I cant read japanese and havent bothered googletranslating the text yet so I have no clue if the story is just 2 parts or theres more in the upcoming issue :')

That was fast! I dropped by the stream for a bit earlier and this was just being built.
I'm feeling the same feelings I got from seen how easy it was to mix and match with the IBO kits! My wallet won't be happy, but im excited to potentially getting multiples of these kits just some fun kit bashing
The face part etc makes me think of VF-1S Battroid with Max Jenius' blue colors

The design really reminds me of kuromukuro. Most especially the hands and feet design.
For sure, I get big kuromukuro vibes from this.
I like its design. Reminds me of my AC in Armored Core 3. MIght buy one now because of that.

Huh. I found this in a store once, thought this was a new season 2 kit but I guess it's from a side story. Didn't realize that it was released last year.
I’ve seen the first few episodes with a friend and its a neat series so far; I wont spoil anything though, so I’ll just say: still not sure where the Byakuchi fits in yet; even with the opening theme and trailers.
I do like the Boomerang’s design though, it may be a bit more simpler but i look forward to that one.

I heard that the thigh Joint falls apart unless you glue the seams. Once again you have convinced me to grab one of these kits...
I didn’t notice any issue with the thighs
Thigh joint issue in mecha gaikotsu review , seems like loose between part & must reassemble the whole joint again to fix it
