    wow, i'm pretty early! Been looking forward to this kit, if only I could get my kits on the eastern release schedule but sadly my area is the last for kits to circulate into through bluefin's US supply chain. Nice video as usual!

      I've been quite curious with Blufin and how well they distribute kits since I might be relocating back at some point myself. I imagine Kyoukai Senki might not be super high on their priorities with them needing to get Battlogue kits out right now

      @@HobbyClubhouse In terms of western distribution it’s done from west to east since the supply chain starts in California. I’m based out of the eastern part of the country so we get everything last here lol

    It is really cool that the rifle has a rail system. Even if you can't remove the handle and attach scopes its really cool. I wish other kits had tail systems on weapons it gives kits a more realistic feel

    I just love how different these kits look from each other while still looking similar as coming from the same line and concept. This is my favorite of all.
    About the show, im really liking how they implement the "mascots" as just holographic avatars of the AI instead of physical plushies.

    in hindsight despite the flaws of the show the model kits were quite awesome in my opinion
    ive only built the armored special carrier and its already one of my favorite kits (the playability with rg/mg figures and the gm sniper k9 army figures is awesome!)
    my dad posted a pic of me with the finished carrier on facebook and only a few hours later Ken Okuyama himself liked the post, and i was stoked
    im currently in a massive year-long gundam seed project (im not a full-time reviewer or builder just a young customizer) with a bunch of suits for the EA, ZAFT, and ORB, and I was thinking about picking up the Byakuchi and Option Sets 2 (Gen 2 Mailes weapons) and 5 (Byakuchi Full Armor) to customize into a black and gold colored ms for ORB that I call the MBF-KM2 Arashi with three different combat modes by switching out the option set equipment. thank you for the in-depth review!
    now should i pick up the ghost...

    Wooo! This was a review that I was more then looking forward to, These designs are great and I was excited when these were announced, except the price, damn that's quite high but Now that I've seen the review, I'm considering it honestly but for now, Great Review and I look forward to another next week
    Edit: Oh also a small edit, the HGUC Gouf review has HGUG on the Title instead of HGUC

    • @HobbyClubhouse
      @HobbyClubhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hm, how did that "HGUG" stay hidden for so long... Fixed:)
      I think if I were to choose among the MAILeS, I'd want the Byakuchi the most for the neat handles on the arms and those boxy legs. The flaws on it are really odd, but the design looks so great even just standing there
      I'm really eager to get a Bunyip Boomerang and taking a look at that oddball

  • @beiget4706

    I've always wanted bandai to use that strategy where the gate meets the part via an embossed detail ( line on the horn ).
    that makes it very easy to mask the rest of the part and just sand and buff that embossed part or protrusion detail.
    or alternatively just paint it metallic a la RG.
    at first glance this it looks garbage to me, but you're selling it pretty well with the mechanical design choices.
    it's just unfortunate they had to use the kiddie color theme for a high target line.
    stickers and high target form an oxymoron.

    • @HobbyClubhouse
      @HobbyClubhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The poor line has been loped right off of quite a few kits I see on Twitter and the owners don't seem to know at all, the poor kits...
      I think the line is worth a look for at least one kit. The Bunyip Boomerang does much better with only stickers for the eyes(?) so maybe that'd be more up your alley? Then again, I didn't think the Byakuchi would have those odd flaws before I got it, so it's hard to say in the Boomerang might not also have some surprises...

  • @teknonaught
    @teknonaught 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    neat review! bit saddened about the thigh design and weaknesses, though i think the kit have a lot of plus points to compensate. with the anime, i wonder with the MC red MAILeS, is Sunrise/Bandai going to be doing the Red Oni/Blue Oni trope with the cast (or Hikaru/Max?).
    I myself can't get enough with the Bunyips, (folding itself not only for storage, but also as an attack form, neat!) and from what little screen time and promo pics i seen, the other MP AMAIMs is looking to be good too.

    • @HobbyClubhouse
      @HobbyClubhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really can't wait to get my hands on a Boomerang next week too. I love the little T-Rex sub arms with the tiny knives like switchblades.
      The flaws of the kit really are baffling since they really ambush you when everything else about the kit is so lovable. I wonder what circumstances led to them having to keep things as is in the end
