As mentioned there is a 1/48 scale (the first release will have clear pieces to show the inside of certain parts) coming out which should be around the size of a MG RX-78-2.

I'm just glad that bandai even made an HG line for the Kyoukai Senki series because this means that Kyoukai Senki is their current flagship anime to ship out tons of new models, which means, that the future of this series is bright as I'm really digging their overall designs and story.

The more I look at the Kenbu's head especially in model kit form, the more I like it, especially the way the eyes catch the light to make it glow in a way you don't see in Gunpla. Still not really a fan of the whole package from its overall shape to the color scheme and I do prefer the Byakuchi more in the end, but at the least it does nail "sleek yet industrial" quite well.
Yeah, I got the Byukuchi instead, it’s a bit of a neater kit imo
I honestly didn't even notice the glow in the eyes while making the video. My wife asked me if it had LEDs in it when she saw the footage. The deign of the eye segments is really starting to grow on me!
It might be because the eyes are more exposed whereas gundams have a very thick brow covering them
Design and weaponry wise, I still prefer the Byakuchi. I’m a sucker for shoulder mounted missile launchers.

Making it transform to maintenance-mode is tricky, twist on the waist then fold the arms and legs.

I put in a pre-order for the Full Mechanics version of this one. I really like the design and they remind me of the mechs from the old anime Jinki Extend which I have a nice action figure of the main mech from that.
an added bonus for this line is that the 30 minute missions line is also compatable. i crafted a underhanded "ChaYnZaw" for my Kenbu slides into the hand like it was made for it.
Will adding this to my Xmas wishlist, I'm always a sucker for melee type mechas.
Now i'm debating whether i want the HG line or the FM line. I feel like i should stick to MG size with gundams and go HG with kyoukai.
On one hand, i prefer the colour accuracy and scale of 1/100 gundams, and seeing as the FM is going to be similar in size, i'd prefer it.
On the other, i also want a Bunyip Boomerang, and god knows if they're going to make a FM bunyip.
Update: i've made my decision (for now) and preordered the FM kenbu. Pray for my jobless wallet.

Really dig this design, although im not fond of the yellow fins going from the face over the head. The upcoming Full Mechanics model kit of this unit is definitely a must have for me.

I hope Mecha G review the SRW line of Bandai too including the Alteisen and Cybaster.
Cybuster is too plain, not worth the price tag, but just better than Kotobukiya's
@@ry0usama511 Yup its quite expensive for a small kit compared to the Kotobukiya kit, although its nice to see Mecha G's points of view and opinion about it.
@@Jhayzer021 SRW stuff is overpriced imo, other HGs like Full Metal Panic, 86 and Sakura wars at least has open cockpit gimmick, while SRW ones had nothing to offer

what comes close to the AMAIM in mecha design from the Gundam series is from Turn A Gundam who are designed by the late Syd Mead, the Mobile FLAT being one of the examples.
I got the last box of Byakuchi from my hobby store but the Kenbu is already sold out and no more pre-orders. The owner said most buyers doesn't even know what they are, they are just buying up everything so they can resell it for more later....
What stand are you using? i recently got my hands on this model kit and have been looking to getsome sort of stand to put my model on, any recomendations? as well as recomendations for other stands for gundam models

Kenbu is easy to pose the natural Two handed Sword Stance than Mobile suit kits. While Full saber MG couldn't wield Full saber Claymore with 2 hands.
I love Barbatos Lupus Rex but this is more beast-like when it comes to those legs

Kenbu is Barbatos and Byakuchi is Gusion Rebake Full City but with a Bael paint job.

@@ry0usama511 that would be cool too. It's just that, the hg version of the lupus Rex just sucks for me. With this and a few touches, it would be monster like.
I kind of hoped to see it stand with its legs stretched straight and upright since Byakuchi couldn't do it.

Can you please review the hg Big Tony from the anime Sakugan. It is also a mech show that is airing this season and the first two episodes have so far been way better in every aspect then the ones from Kyoukai Senki. Unfortunately though the show seems to be flying under the radar and will probaly get cancelled after 12 episodes and one modell kit.

Its very similar to barbatos especially that the "incomplete" mode are just missing shoulder armors.
The design reminded me if Code Geass Knightmare is being designed to be less fragile.

I think you should add/show the pictures of the model kit before adding paneline, colors or stickers so we know what we're getting straight out of the box because some people like to build and collect gunpla without adding color correction paint, stickers or panel line (btw sorryy for my English..)

That's one of the reason I avoided this kit. And personally it looks a bit too bland.
Bought Byakuchi though, and I quite like it. Preordered Nyuren and Bradyhound cause both design looks wacky.

@@rifkimax2571 the kit knee, elbow,and wrist single peg joint was the thing that I was most concerned about. Looks like it's easy to be seperated/become loose.
Other than that, I liked the mech almost modular designs and the foldable joints. It's like a mix of IBO Frame/Code Geass Knightmare Frame/Votoms AT.
You said it looks like barbatos long lost cousin. My friend comment on Kenbu was totally savage. He called Kenbu as "a chicken legged, offspring from an incest relationship between Barbatos and Penelope Gundam"

I Preordered the New IBO GREMORY model and when it released it put me on a back order list that I don’t know my position in or an idea of when I can ship it to me and it’s probably gonna cost 20 plus USD to ship it. Why Hobby Link Japan just Why?!?

The reason why the main pilotable Mech on Kyoukai Senki is like Gundam Barbie.....errr i mean Gundam Barbatos. Its because the mechanical designer is the same from Iron Blooded Orphan. And there are some familiar design of Code Geass and Eureka7 too if can catch it on some other mechs (the mecha designer of that series is on this project too)
And if you wondering, why this series mecha fights are 2D(which very rare to date) and got awesome scene shot of it, it because the Director is the same guy from Break/Broken Blade series which have very very very awesome full 2D mecha fight from studio Xebec( change its name to Sunrise Beyond now)
