- It has taken quite a few steps to make it this far, but Noben has finally found proper foothold in the realm of Mercenaries. With the proper equipment, stats and planning provided, he has achieved the level of power he could've initially only dreamed of, partially thanks to a mysterious individual. Truly, he has peaked to the realm of overwhelming power.
In today's adventure, Noben takes up arms and guns it straight to 40 and beyond with his newfound power, finally gaining access to the trove of quests that he's been lacking since 30s and even doing some of them, and also completing the dreaded History questline that has been haunting his sleep since his very birth... thanks to an unprecedented tool to help him along the way.
This episode ended up taking longer than I expected from a grind-focused experience, but I'm happy with how it turned out in the end. Huge thanks for watching the series, and once again huge apologies for the missing episode. Hope everything else will turn out as intended! :)

Also, love the series! maybe you could push it till the end game? lvl 120+?! I'm learning so much from when I played FlyFF as a small child.

Asking me to go all the way to end-game is quite the tall order though, I think going much beyond 60 would already make it hard to make TH-cam-friendly content! It's difficult to make engaging content about this game and have some sense of progression going on. Thanks for sharing your thoughts though, maybe I will consider a higher level than 60 - No promises though :)
I'd say keep it! There's a lot of nice people in Flyff! Luck is also a skill they said

Your series is great. Im playing along with you building a blade as well. New to flyff, I don't really know what im doing but youe series has greatly helped. So far in lvl 32. Gratz on the gear you got given. I am still in the standard Fortune gear so now hit a lot harder. I shall still watch the rest of the playthrough though and lvl with you. I'll just have to pause the videos until i catch up. Thank you for making this... it really is a great help :)

Loving the series, i actually love helping noobies when i can. I understand the struggle it can be to get what you need lol. Since ive been back in Mush now i have been going around buffing in Flaris and giving any random greens i have so i think its fine if you use what he gave you since he just seemed to be a random nice dude.

definitely keep the stuff, events like that are a big part of the game and its good show that this sort of thing happens to everyone not just youtubers
Hahaha, it's been a while since I made this video but even back then everyone was pretty much in unison that I should definitely keep it :D Mainly the fact that they didn't give the impression they knew me made me actually consider keeping it because it was the kind of luck that could happen to just about anyone... and in that situation, it was incredibly nice x)

To be honest, I don't mind people getting stuff for free. When I started playing a random dude gave a pick-up pet for free because he had just bought a new one and I was healing him with my assist... And for mercs, the green weapons are actually a hindrance since changing elements cost 1mil penya. It's easier and cheaper to get random weapon drops and have them all with +1 different elements to farm faster hahaha

This is exactly my thought here. Usually being nice goes a long way and this is one of those situations where just a little gesture of kindness brings the best out of people, and I feel like it's okay to cherish what they've decided to give away :)
And well yeah, green weapons are a hindrance if you hardlock into them and force yourself to stick to that one certain weapon, but then again I personally never really fancied the idea of having a weapon for literally every element. Towards the end of the video I actually decided on my 45+ weapon's element which I will stick to all the way until I reach level 60 :P Rather than wanting to fight everything, I'm just facing whatever I'm strong against instead x)

I hope you continue the series after lvl 60. I made a lvl 60 blade last fwc and I dont know what to do next other than killing mobs. But I understand that grinding for level really takes a lot time.
The reason I don't have plans to go further than 60 with this series is honestly because I'm not really sure how I'd add up on this series as TH-cam-friendly content without making it feel like it's dragging on too much. At some point, recording for 3 hours straight is barely even going to get me a level and wouldn't make much for "development" there on. Streams are more for that purpose, and I do stream occasionally with my actual main account over on Twitch side :)
I have addressed this very same problem though, a lot of my friends or newbies I've got to know personally have withdrawn from the game because they don't really have foresight over what they should be doing now that their "ultimate goal" is over, and I find that understandable. The game doesn't really tell you much and leaves a lot for you to figure out on your own, and at some point you just have no clue what you could be doing :(
I was actually going to bring this up as the topic of the next guide I'll be making (the one after this one) and try to enlighten how the gameplay actually changes on Flyff once you go past 60. What I can tell you though is this: Don't just focus on your levels anymore, pay attention to the bigger picture. You're making a lot of money now and have a pretty strong character, so how can you develop your character, or even your entire roster of characters with your efforts? What is the next upgrade you should aim for? How can you start making money better? What do you require in order to start using that better money making method? The important thing is realizing that a lot more is achievable now that you're able to earn millions, and that the real game has only just begun. Maybe at some point you won't even pay attention to your exp bar so much and focus on another goal that you have in your mind, like gearing up or affording your next upgrade x)

is the mercenary better with full str or agi? cause damage warriors are very weak at macro
I don't think full DEX is really a viable build unless you went for AoE Blade damage-wise, but full STR often times won't cut it either unless you have like REALLY good gear and buffs that covers your hit rate and attack speed, because otherwise you'll be slow and miss a lot of your attacks. Often times you'll have to take a mix of both (like I do here), adding STR to increase your damage and DEX to add enough attack speed and hit rate so that your character will be consistent. These stats aren't actually necessary if you're just using skills to fight, but I think mercenary works a lot better when optimized for using auto attacks :)
I'd recommend referring to my Mercenary Guide if you want to find out more about the 1v1 playstyle, but my personal preference is to have 40% hit rate so that I won't be missing too much and then purely focus on damage. Mind you that this isn't THAT easy to reach and you shouldn't just fixate on that, try to keep a balance between both damage and hit rate as you go x)

Luck happens, "artificial luck" is a thing to but w/e, I've walked through darken and seen people just drop reds and greens they are tired of trying to vendor. Just is what it is.
Also side note for new people, if you stay ahead of what quest items you'll need at the next level or so, you absolutely should be turning them in, those 23% chunks of a level can make huge differences

Good job bringing up the quest items, that's also the thought I had with having all those quest items there :) I hope that me having Dumblings and Kalins ahead of time instilled people with the thought that they could do the same ^^ And also doublechecking from Flyffipedia how many they'll need!!
Can you get rare items in the field? or is it on dungeons?
It is possible to get rare items everywhere, but what rare items and in what ratio depends on where you're looking! Rare weapons are primarily found from giants and dungeon bosses, dungeons typically have higher drop rates with the rare Power Dice, but rare armors have a pretty fair chance of dropping from basically anywhere, including just regular monsters.
Some monsters also have the chance of dropping some rare monster-specific skins like Pukepuke Hats, Demian Daggers, Steel Knight Swords and so on :)

Bro idk how I feel about this. Obvi is been a year and your character already made it to 90+ but it basically feels like you got spooned 30-45. It’s kinda passable and kinda not… cause yes charity does happen but this is also a major choke point for most players. You know most people don’t care about 15 greens or rares because the leveling is just so fast to 30. But around this time new comers are really trying to figure out leveling up, they get bored of a mindless grind, and start looking for extra damage or defense. It felt like you really just bypassed that and even though I’m giving you the benefit for the doubt there is nothing telling me one of your clan mates on another account just spoon fed you like 10M of gear WHILE you have a 2M cash stack. Idk man… it took a lot of legitimacy from the series even though I still enjoyed your journey. It definitely took away from a newcomer or returning player trying to look at your journey like a guide to reach to end game, which seemed a major intent of this series.
A totally passable thought, I was struggling against it too because I knew how big of a deal the suit is. Of course, it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable for me either to break the validity of the series for the sake of a mere suit and I was ready to work for it, but I also felt like turning down a genuine and heartfelt donation when the other person clearly knew the struggle for the last piece would've been just pure ignorance on my part. I did still work my way towards it so it wasn't completely undeserved, but certainly got it a lot faster than I expected x)
I hope this turn of events doesn't come as a major turndown, I held onto it because this could happen to just about anyone. The guy was also willing to offer me a LOT more, but I convinced them that just the suit is enough :)

Honestly just keep it. This could randomly happen to anyone and honestly it’s fine. (Actually had a similar thing happen to me in final fantasy online where someone gave me 2 pets randomly while i was in town i looked them up and they are both not the rarest but to have them at my level is quite cool one can be obtained trough i believe the goldsmith job where as the other can be gotten trough fishing)
I'm on board with this one, there's so many kind players out there who are just willing to help and even part with belongings that they don't consider to be important but could mean the world to somebody else ^^ I'm honestly glad that so many from the community are on unison with this one and I'm looking forward to working with what I have now to pursue different goals with Noben :)

@@emenalus fact. the kindness of the community is why i loved Flyff in the first place aswell (i have so many memories of back when i was a kid/preteen and even into my teen years where i just had so much fun with people i met in game)
@@litchtheshinigami8936 Community is definitely one of the main reasons I loved to stick with Flyff even when I was just a kid. I didn't have the kind of patience to just focus on grinding, I'd just be at the arena most of the time or help out other players. It's the MMO aspect that kept me going for my entire childhood :D

Wait really? I'm pretty sure I even saw LowSpros at a pretty regular price tag and I'm from Totemia myself. I need to double-check that, and possibly consider reserving some LowSPros I happen to find cheap if that's true :o
Alright, so I was checking through some stores while recording something for my next video, and I actually found a guy selling heaps of LowSPros for 4k each, and some other more expensive shops before that but still under 50k each. I guess you must've come across those SPros scams and were just unlucky x) Keep looking!!

I could definitely give a comparison (I did one in the episode that didn't get released) and show much difference the suit does, other than that the Crawler Axe comparison at level 39 actually showed how little difference between weapons there actually was ;)

These things definitely happen, but I wasn't sure whether I was being helped for being a Newbie or if I was subject to TH-camr treatment, which the latter I'm doing my best to avoid for the authenticity of the series :) I ended up keeping it though because we all came to the conclusion that I just happened to find a really nice guy ^^

Not sure anymore whether I introduced my method of moneymaking in this episode or maybe the one after, but on top of quest rewards in early game I probably already got involved with some merchanting, AKA I would buy any offers I'd find for a low price and then set them up for their actual value and profit from that :D If that hasn't come up yet, then it might be quest rewards and any greens or other goods I found worth selling to other players. 600K at this level is still a pretty nice amount too! :>

Be careful with trading, a lot of botters within the server and they might trade you free items and your account might get banned.

@@emenalus Yes, Gala team not that good and some players becoming a victim by just receiving mails of penya/items specially mount from some random player. A friend of mine got banned after receiving free mount from a trade but after 5days he got his account back but the mount was gone. Gala Team can't do anything about it and all they can do is Shout at the system that you have to be very careful with the impersonators and stuff very often times. They should spam it like atleast 3hours from now and then every single day to let newbies and upcoming players get alarmed aswell.
So my only advice for new upcoming players aswell, if you receive an item/penya with some random player you did not know. Don't claim it, there might be a consequence waiting for you that you could get involved with.
What I find most ridiculous is that people do this stuff consciously to ruin somebody else's day, and that's not cool :/ I recall a similar situation with Flyff when it got transferred to play2bit (Bora), where there was a mass banwave for duped items that weren't even duped by the player in question, but just that they carried it was enough to "justify" a ban. Absolutely disgusting and really disregarding the user experience of especially new players. I hope they'll come with a better measure to deal with botting-procured items.
@@emenalus Yes FR. The Gala Team can't handle those scammers/botters/impersonators aswell as the rmts, even if it's against the rules already they just been using VPN and Gala Team can't no longer do a thing about it. They just continue of what they're doing while the Gala Team having a load of work. They need a guy that's really expert when it comes to this scheme or buy something like a Game Guard that will protect their game thru this kind of mess which they can't handle all by themselves. It's for their game future anyways.
I dont see the appeal of pvp in flyff either. I think you would get more value out of your time and money lighting your wallet on fire.
It would probably be more entertaining too :P
