There's also another Buffalo Wild Wings in UPTOWN MALL 😊
Thanks for the heads up, I been to uptown mall a lot of times but somehow didn't notice it haha you can see in the video I got excited when I noticed the b dubs
Yeah it's generally safe in Manila ànd way safer than other US cities and the rest of latin America
Yea, its not even comparable lol
Dude, you're almost at 1000 subs! Yow!
Haha you have 40k! You're famous. I like the dinosaur puppet interviews lol
@@TheNYCexpat I need to upload new videos, haha
next visit Filinvest Alabang
Yea I gotta make my way down that way eventually. It's a long ride though with the traffic, but will try lol
Yes 🇵🇭 ORTIGAS Center BETTER THAN New York , you won’t see homeless campers and very clean
Lol if you say so
MABUHAY, WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES❤
salamat po! Thank you for the kindness
Pleasant day to both of you Sir! ❤ Please try to put the Philippines Flag on your Thumbnail for TH-cam Algorithm,.. it means more views from Filipinos abroad., but it's up to you Sir 'cuz this is only a suggestion.. Keep going! ❤ God bless! ❤
I changed it, thank you for the advice po! God bless
Compared to the rests of New York Metro Manila is really clean. New York subway hahahha my gosh. It is ashamed that New York is the 3rd richest metropolis in the world after Tokyo and London but it has many beggars even in Manhattan.
I once saw a rat eating an entire slice of pizza in the subway
I love to visit some old local downtown. It feels really the philippines. You can see small shops and establishment and local people. I want to retain the natural beauty of local downtown but it must develop the sidewalks and do underground cabling and those delapidated establish ment must be painted new. And put some a little greenery due small spaces obviously. Old Manila will be really beautiful i guess but it takes time for sure.
@@dextershaman7154 yea sidewalks are a big issue, especially with all of the traffic on the road. Having nice sidewalks or any sidewalks sometimes would be an improvement
Another solid video, good to see other nice areas in Manila.
There are a lot of nice places in Manila! Thank you for watching, good to hear from you
There he is!!!! ❤ keep dropping them vlogs bro!❤ im hapoy to see the ortigas area
Hey bro, appreciate the love! Yea pasig/ortigas is nice. I wanna go back and do a full video just on ortigas center business district itself later. This was just a quick walk around where we seen some cool stuff. Good to hear from you!
@@TheNYCexpat yeah big ups eastwood fam!! You should check out the streets near Eastwood its called bagumbayan and circulo verde
@@MarkPuke13 I’ll check it out bro
Hello to both you and your wife! Thanks for another walking tour! Ortigas center is a nice place to visit too in the city! 😊
Thank you po. Yea, we weren't actually planning on doing a video, we were just in the area and I was like hey this place looks pretty nice. Ive been to Ortigas center business district before, but this was the first time in capital commons.
Maybe we will make a video on Ortigas center downtown area because there's a whole lot of nice things to show there too
Try to visit Baguio. You will love the weather, Taho, bike riding and many more😊
Hello from 🗽🇵🇭
Hey yea in August or September if my mom visits I would like to go there to vacation
❤❤❤
Much love, ty for watching
philipine have no homeless people except a sick people on the street why they say we have million of homeless here you can see homeless people arod slum people in tondo have house in a province and land so where's homeless million houses being build for them now they are all remove there for good
Dude, I thought you were going to try the balut! Anyway, that area with Capitol Commons and Estancia looks pretty nice. Will have to check it out.
Lol maybe one day and yea capital commons was cool. We actually ended up there by accident since we were doing something nearby and took a little walk. It seems like a cool little place to chill though
You also must visit Podium Mall, Shangrila Plaza Mall and Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas Center
Hey yea I've been to all of those places just not on video lol
@@TheNYCexpat i see, you can visit again with vlog for your subscribers ❤️
Ty for mentioning the smog, I’m sure other vloggers do but some are very negative & judgmental, then other cc’s I enjoy very much but they may overlook concerns like smog (for those of us considering relocating). I know maybe one would have to be ignorant to not realize there is pollution, but in all the vlogs of Bgc, makati & few Eastwood I’ve watched, the sky is always shown so clear & blue. Great narration, Ty.
Lol in most of those areas there's not as much pollution mostly because there's not as many cars. When you go out of the expat bubbles or near main highways there's always a lot of cars and when it's so hot out with weather it feels like you're walking in car exhaust fumes
That's why a lot of people like those places you mentioned too
This area looks great. Thanks for the video.
Sure thing larry and yea we were just in the area for something else and I was thinking it's quite nice so lets record a little.
This is mostly in capital commons which is its own little place inside Pasig city, sort of like Eastwood inside of Quezon city. I really like how the Philippines does these little cities within a city type places because they each have their own style
big cities in the US are now full of homeless people, you can see them everywhere in the downtown areas, shops in San Francisco n Beverly Hills in California are closing shops n closing their businesses..
Yea, I've heard. There are probably still some good ones, but a lot of them are facing problems like you said. I hear it a lot about cali especially
@NewYorkerInThePhilippines, I discovered your TH-cam channel just now. I find it interesting. I'm from Pasig City but I have never been to Capitol Commons. Thank you for vlogging it. Now I have an idea how it looks like. I'll visit that place one of these days.
Nice, thank you for checking out my channel then haha and yea I actually also had no idea about capital commons either we sort of stumbled upon it by accident. We were at the Phil health office down the street and decided to walk around a little and then saw it. It's not too big, but it has a decent space and a nice mall and places to eat. It looks like a nice clean area to chill
@@TheNYCexpat Oh, interesting. I'll definitely visit that place soon and vlog it.
The baluttttt, I love how it's loved over there lol i could never 😂 have you tried one?
Nah lol only Mae is eating that
You remind me of my good friend who is an Indian. 🇮🇳
Hopefully your friend is a cool person haha thank you for watching!
Man if you are not yet experience the island vibes I think it's for you now to explore Boracay,Siargao and El Nido
I have a baby on the way so can't do too much exploring right now lol but yea I want to check those places out soon. I been to some beaches in cebu and luzon, but I know about the ones you mentioned and want to visit Boracay and Siargao
There's a buffalo wild wings in uptown mallin BGC
Good to know, I didn't see that one yet was actually surprised to see it as you can see in the video haha
Its not diffrent from the US right now sir I've seen a lot here LA, San Francisco, Texas, Chicago, Vegas, Florida, Louisiana, New Orleans you see poverty at the same time you see posh parts. Streets with homeless people begging money for drugs or liquor, drug addicts harrasing people, trash everywhere pot holes and cracks on streets decaying public structures. Makeshift shanties (same as squatter homes that you see on manila). I've seen plastic trash scattered, city streets that smell urine and literally human poop on US streets in LA, San Francisco, Florida, New Orleans, people driving by dumping their trash on streets, homeless people digging from trash bins searching for food i actually helped one of them a US Army Iraqi veteran who became homeless. I gave him food, extra cash for food and for winter clothes it's heartbreaking to see so i didn't hesitate to help him out even in a small way.
You're right and hopefully you didn't take it the wrong way because I didn't mean anything I said in a derogatory sense. I like manila that's why I chose to live here, but it can be a sensory overload for some people. My point was that not every place looks like where all the vloggers cover, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but no where is.
The biggest issue I have with Manila honestly is so much car exhaust pollution, but that's an infrastructure problem that hopefully they'll work to fix. I heard they're building a subway already, so that should help
Happy wife Happy life❤ pregnancy cravings 😊👍🏻🤠😃👌🏻🤣🤗 happy interracial couple will make the world one big happy family 👍 no boundaries no discrimination 👍world peace🥰
Haha yes and thank you. Interesting pregnancy craving for sure lol
BGC, Makati, Eastwood city.n Aseana City are the new Manila, while the old Manila is trying to catch up but would take some time
Yea we stay in Eastwood, we like it. We went to old Manila over the weekend, it also looked nice, but it was very spread out compared to what we are used to as far as the layout goes.
Try to go and Enjoy the Province of the philippines.. its so hot in the cities... Try the resorsts and cooler weather innthe philippines
Buffalo Wild Wings have branches in Metro Manila, including BGC, Pasay, Ortigas, and prev. there used to be one in Makati.
Yea this was my first time seeing one. I wasn't actively looking for buffalo wild wings or anything, but was excited to see it haha
Take care always bro
Some parts of metro manila are cramped because its the old historical part of the metro, difficult and expensive to re-design it, so hubs, centers, cells of new urban cities are the way to go...
Yea I like the way they do the little cities inside the bigger cities. I think it's a nice touch, especially in Manila because having a place that's condensed, but easily walkable is a bonus
America should do things like that because there's not too many truly walkable cities in America
Try ace water spa near capitol commons
Thank you for the recommendation, will check it out
Hello, We should do a tour in our show room in shang properties in bridgetowne, the next BGC. Let me know. ❤
Are you from Shang properties? Message me if you'd like to set something up for a video on my email
@@TheNYCexpat yes I am. I cant see your email in your channel. Do you have an IG where I can look it up?
@@TheNYCexpat got your email! ☺
Ortigas Center ❤❤❤❤❤
Most underrated CBD in Metro Manila
Yea, no one talks about Ortigas center, but it's nice
@@TheNYCexpat more vlog to come specially in Ortigas Center ❤️❤️❤️
🕺🤳🧑🎤👏👏👏
Haha thank you for watching
Excellent work bro. By the way you showed in your other video how you had a very appartment, what websites should we use to find a good long term rental? I'm hoping to come in May or June and plan to stay for 6 months or more.
I got some real estate videos coming up, but just had a baby so they’re on hold lol. From my experience I found the best deals on fb marketplace. It’s different here than back home and fb is very popular, there are going to be both agents, as well as private sellers on fb marketplace. Just play around with it, set your location to wherever in Philippines you’re considering then go to rentals tab and see what you find. If you want to use a third party website just for rentals then I would say rentpad is the best of those
@@TheNYCexpatCongratulations on the baby, i hope you and your family are doing very well and wish you all the best. Thanks a lot for the information, seems very practical, so I'lll starting looking around since I'm hoping to arrive in June, thanks again and best wishes.

Thank you for the love and support

i myself dont ever want to try balut. sometimes there's a bloody embryo in an otherwise fresh egg , i throw it right away!
Yea idk if I can eat the egg like that lol maybe if it didn't have the beak and feathers haha or give me some buffalo sauce at least to dip it in I could probably
Hang out in Cubao expo in quezon city, Night time. 1 MRT away
Whats at the cubao expo? I googled it, looks like they have live music and stuff there. Is that a regular thing?
@@TheNYCexpat its a happening place since the 90s. This could be your gateway to local scenes. Live music is occasional.
@@TheNYCexpat a small compound used be a place for selling locally made shoes until independent restaurants and art places took over. Nice place to hang out and meet a lot of interesting people.
@@lovedogspaintedmusic sweet I will check it out. Thank you for the recommendation
If you visit this place and you like it, i can suggest more places you can go to and vlog about. So many good places not being featured.
Hopefully those Jeepneys which are polluters and noisy will be BANNED for good this May 2024. They keep on extending the deadline of their PHASE OUT 😊
I didn’t know that was a thing. Are you Filipino? Just wondering what the locals views are on that. I understand that it is cheap transportation so it’s important, but yea walking through Manila can be rough because of all of the exhaust pollution mixed with the heat. Honestly that’s probably why a lot of expats look down on Manila because yea it can be a lot. That’s also why places that are more spacious and less traffic are so nice
@@TheNYCexpat same fare for the air conditioned MINI BUSES that will replace the Jeepneys. I think many locals want it to be phased out already. We all want modernity, don't we? 😊
@@JoeyZee-vs4kr sounds awesome. Hopefully they get it worked out. Jeepneys are classic, but like you said it's a lot of pollution on the streets
@@TheNYCexpatjeepney is still a cup of tea of every filipino but the govt want to upgrade through jeepney modernization program. It must be atleast an eco friendly euro 4 engine or electric powered, high ceiling that everyones can stand, airconed or non airconed, swipe paying system and have dashcam andcctvs .thre were already jeepney model who are electric powered but mostly the mini busses that was already approved by govt. Its not attractive on common minibusses. I want really the jeepney model but has modern standard.

So were you able to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings?
Haha we didn't stop there, but we want to go back and get some wings
Are there condo's in that area of Capitol Commons ?
Yes, expensive ones lol
usa ten times dangerous than tondo manila ican walk in tondo even at night
You have been to BGC right? Best little city in the country and they’re still expanding. 🩷
Yea man, been here for two years, Bonifacio global city is great. I'll have a video on it in the future
