Swerve to heat tires? Nah I’m just bored doing 30 in a 40 behind grandma 😂
Facts it feels good
Same here. Or at least if I'm air pucking from side to side cagers notice me a little more
Hell, I do this is in my car
Man i do this when im riding bird scooters its legit just to have fun
@@nathensample530this was the one I was looking for
I live in a TINY town in Texas, population of about 300. A local girl met a dude online from out of state and he came to Texas to visit her. While he was here, he bought a new motorcycle. Not sure of the make, model, etc. I think it was a cruiser of some type. His first day here riding around our tiny town, he was speeding around with no helmet or gear. Thought it was safe because the town is so small. Later that day we find out he wrecked out riding through the middle of town with no one around. Died instantly. It can happen ANYWHERE and at ANY TIME. Ride safe!
Damn, yeah your bpdy is so fragile
YAMMIE, tell Brandon that "decapitation," by definition, means having your HEAD cut off. If it's a leg or arm, it's "severed" in an accident, or "amputated" at a hospital or in somebody's basement.
Lmao I was looking for this comment, I thought yammie was gonna correct him, I KNOW he wanted to but he just let him slide
@@BrandonAltmeyeralso the time to bleed out from the femoral artery is something like 20 seconds you passout 40 seconds to a minute ur dead so yeah super scary might not be a bad idea to bring a medkit on ur bike with a tourniquet just incase
That "GixerrBrah" call in the beginning sounds so personal. Good old memories 😂
You can swerve in your lane not really a big deal, we do it cause we can and it just feels good cause its a bike.
3:30 "We have sped a little here and there... but we always do it when there's not too many people around."
The fact that this psycopath can say sh!t like this after having almost killed another person on his Daytona (and himself in the process) is hysterical.
Awe your little feewings got hurt
This kinda went into unnecessary ranting.. I mean, what is dumb about swerving? I have a full lane at my disposal, swerving here and there breaks up the rhythm and is just enjoyable to do, rather than just sit still and ride straight. Will some people try to excuse it with an uninformed reasoning of warming their tires? Sure. But nothing is inherently dumb about swerving. I mean, the entire point of being on a bike is to have the freedom that cars don't allow, so why shouldn't I swerve when I want to and have the freedom to do so?
Also brake checking is just dumb period, regardless of size of vehicle. If you brake check for any reason other than some obscure safety measure, you're just an idiot. And there are unfortunately a lot of those on the interstates, and they come in all sizes (and so do their vehicles).
Something that I don't see mentioned very often, swerving back and forth can promote and establish visibility to yourself for those in front and behind you. You're adding the element of movement to everyone's vision around you. That's not to say you need to do it regularly, but it's a good tool to have in moments you need to make yourself more visible.
@@xARxNomaD Absolutely true, also helps ensure you aren't staying in a blind spot of the car in front for too long so they forget you exist
I think Brandon is just a killjoy honestly.
A high school friend of mine was doing wheelies on the highway. A lot of us were speeding regularly too. It was an old 4 lane highway that was always empty due to parallel, new interstate. He was decapitated by a truck crossing the highway. Just to clarify, his reaction to a massive 18 wheel semi was slow enough that he maintained enough speed to remove his head.
A head is easily removed. There's some research out there stating how little joules you need to take one clean off
This is exactly what the community needs. Someone they hold in 'esteem' that's willing to take all the suicide riders down a peg. Even if their antics attract views, it has to be said that EVEN YOU GUYS talk about them like I imagine most of us do: "Has he been arrested yet?" "Is he dead yet?".
NONE of those guys are good role models.
if you have a role model, you shouldnt be riding a motorcycle.
Really living up to your username
I very discriminately split lanes, heavy traffic that’s stopped at lights, with plenty of room, going 25mph max between cars, I don’t understand splitting lanes when highway traffic is already at speed(70+), that’s just ignorant, and an excuse to get impounded.
@@jaden2790 lmao tbh it’s a lot safer than people think. About 1/4 of all motorcycle crashes involve an intoxicated rider and I can’t remember the stat on who’s wearing safety gear. Motorcycles are like guns. They don’t kill people, people kill people.
@@ZonsCHANNEL yea, and that doesn't mean you shoot point the gun at yourself.
If I’m in traffic I’ll weave in my own lane a little bit just to make myself more visible. It helps reduce perceptual blindness
Facts facts facts.
I do it when there's a car too close behind to my liking. Usually works. Sometimes it pisses them off
Lane splitting is legal in many states. Why?
Front impact collisions are the most common type of accident. If two people can't stop from crashing into each other, why would you want to sit sandwiched between two cars? How often do you see someone staring at their phone while in motion? No thanks, I'll lane split and get out of the traffic asap.
At a Stop sign or Light or during a Traffic Jam Yes but not if Traffic is Moving and Lane Splitting at an Excessive speed is really dumb too but yes Lane Splitting is a Must in Stop and Go Traffic
I hear you, but how often do vehicles get rear ended. Much better to filter at stops, otherwise your putting your life into others hands. No thanks. Legal here in Scotland btw 🎉
Most laws state 15 mph over ambient speed. I said nothing about lane splitting and speeding, a lot have been killed by rear ended by a car
I think it should be illegal
The problem with lane splitting is the difference in speed.
If you're doing 80, while everybody else is doing 20, there's a 60 delta. Which means if someone decides to switch lanes and you run into them, it's like hitting a wall at 60 (of whatever speed unit you pick).
The problem is not lane splitting, which does get increasingly more dangerous the higher the speed, the problem is when you're doing it at 80 while everybody else is doing 20.
Use your head, it's common sense.
Oh no guys, if you rev bomb around this guy he'll get really mad inside. Watch out!
I change positions in my own lane so I can see. Often, in traffic, people shift around in the lane making it difficult to see ahead. When coming to a corner in traffic, I can see much better by shifting to the inside. Not “warming my tires”, I just want to see better.
I drift back and forth when traffic is slowing to get noticed that I’m slowing down and to let the cars know I’m there. That and visibility.
@@andrewsmith9174 Excellent point! I do this too at intersections or at times when I see somebody looking to pull out. I forgot about this one
@@cjmars822 I had an 80 mile round trip commute that was all traffic getting home. I learned patience and to leave that space in front of me to keep the bike moving to get air over it and me. Doing the slow zig zag seemed to get cars to pay attention. It’s not anything more than anecdotal, but it’s what seemed to work.
“His leg was decapitated” 😂
I sometimes swerve in my lane to get myself noticed by surrounding cagers.
Why would you ever be in neutral at a stoplight? if you have to move out the way that’s just extra time. Having to shift into gear. A lot of professional riders will tell you not to do that.
We ain't heating the tires, fam..... slalom course the dashed lines is fun, just doing it in an open lane is just out of boardom.
At my MSF course a couple weeks ago, my instructors would stop us and correct us if we did the "duck feet."
Not sure what a MSF course is but many race schools now teach feet forward. 🤷♂️
I was told in my MSF swerving in your lane helps you be seen because people notice movement and you are adding additional movement. Admittedly I do it just for fun.
I believe he meant his 🦵 was severed, not decapitated😂
My thing on riding red-line or close to it, is riders doing it through a residential area. If you're rolling through houses or apartments at 5k rpm or more, that's an a-hole.
woah, that dude on the left is anti-motorcycle
That's funny y'all mentioned that the bigger vehicle gets right of way. In underground mines that is literally the rule
6:44 I had to stop it here and comment on putting the bike in neutral at lights. It is best to leave it in first gear to reduce rear-end accidents. I usually shift into neutral when I park the bike, or other safe circumstances.
MotoJitsu school there! 👍
Yeah this doesn't seem safe at all. Always in gear to be ready to move asap if something sketchy is about to happen. Bad advice to say that one should be in neutral at lights. I do it only if I'm between a lot of cars and need to adjust my gloves or something.
just came here after watching gixxer brah ripping a new s1000rr to 193mph 😂, that guy is a monster
I'm not a rider, but it seems like lane splitting isn't the problem. Reckless and WAY TOO FAST lane splitting is. These guys are moving so fast they couldn't possibly stop in time if a car decides to change lanes, and with the speed they're moving the car likely wouldn't see em coming.
Nothing has convinced me to chill out on the road and keep it exclusive to the track than the decapitated leg being reattached story
Dismembered* decapitated implies it’s the head
I was convinced to start using the dictionary after that one.
@@T418HSE lol yes but it gets the point across
@@nathangehman7018
Hahaha, absolutely. I completely agree.
I was just making a joke :P
I’m getting GET OFF MY LAWN vibes from this video
Is this like a re-upload or something? I seen this like a week ago, also, mirrors,
Use em or lose em. That simple.
Yep. Mirrors are the reminders - when buying new, they will remember why it happened.
Gotta admit I sway back and forth a few inches, but it's not to heat tires, it's so my moving headlight will catch the attention of drivers who otherwise wouldn't seedon ddon d me. Not the whole lane; that's just asking for an oil spot lesson. And yes, I ride year round with PPE; a helmet *saved* my head in 1980 or so.
While I'm on our e-swapped GS500F a lot, I still love our turbo-Busa and it's a blast, but it's needing a turbo replacement this year. That thing's a Magic School Bus; it doesn't turn well, but it will absolutely teleport you.
I hear "I'd rather be dead than be a vegetable/paralyzed/etc" once in a while. But gear vs no gear could also be alive and just fine with gear and paralyzed or brain injury without too. In fact that's by far the more likely outcome of not wearing gear.
Helmet, gloves, boots are my bare minimum. 99% of the time I wear icon field armor shirt in Texas heat.
Love watching your content ❤
I'm glad you mentioned the HD riders with the itchy throttle hand at red lights. That one really bugs me.
Don't be in neutral at an intersection as a way to delay yourself from getting side swiped at an intersection like the guy in the red shirt said. 🤦 Just stay in gear and look. You ought to be more concerned about getting rear ended, but if you're in neutral, you just wasted valuable time from being to actually get out of the way. At red lights and stop signs, always being in gear with the left foot down and the right on the rear brake. Other than that, good advice.
I thought swerving was so other people can see you
Don't go to neutral when you're at a stop. That delay can get you smacked if you don't have time to shift down and then move out of the way when the idiot behind you doesn't see the red and is about to rear end you.
its like ex hooligans preaching 🤣
Well, some ex-murderers do find God in prison.
The majority of freeways in california have wide fast lanes and hov lanes. A lot of fast lane drivers also will ride the left line or close to it. I was happy when AZ finally allowed lane filtering, and I hope lane splitting becomes legal someday out here.
Yeah, when i'm on the 5 so. the two fast lanes when it is backed up will leave like a 6ft open lane for bikers.
the comment the bloke in the red shirt made "10 mph over the speed limit on a motorcycle is right on the speed limit". here in Aus doesn't matter whether you are in a car or on a bike 10 mph over the speed limit is "STILL SPEEDING".
these blokes shouldn't be promoting "safe riding" 😂
Bro had his leg ripped off and reattached and STILL came back to the racetrack?
Guy is a fucking unit.
Brandon will probably end op taking a little ride on the turbo Busa when it's back. 😆 The story with the dude and his dismembered leg was mind blowing holy shit what a trooper.
why do I feel like I saw this already 🤨
I thought I was having deja-vu 🤣🤣🤣
Part of it was in the R6 video or am I tripping?
I am ashamed to admit that I used to swerve to "heat my tires" until I realized that just moving does that on it's own. Now I do it for the hell of it.
What I can't stand is the people who do high speed wheelies or high speed lane splitting who say they are only risking themselves. I call bs on that when the 400lb bike flies thru the back window of an SUV or minivan and kills the people sitting in the backseat which is usually someone's kids.
No comment on the massive group rides/take overs? Gives us all a bad name/image.
One of the stupidest things is when riders have their girls on back with shorts, and T shirt 😳
Words I did not expect to hear: “I thought he had it in. I’m not too sure.”
Actually swerving has the benefit of making the rider more visible. The eyes pick up the lateral movement.
I used to hate the feet hanging out too. But as i also put my feet up on the pegs (not ready to shift, not ready to brake), and my foot isn't on the brake when I'm driving a car, i started letting my feet hang out too sometimes. My feet move less to do what i need to do than when I'm in a car, it takes no time to move my feet over. So on a clear highway, it's fine imo. It's another foot position to use to reduce fatigue.
I snake in my lane going straight because I just started riding and I’m still getting used to counter steering. I don’t do it going above 50, but if I’m on a back road and I have a lot of vision and a lot of space, I will practice initiating a counter steer
Great format with Brandon .
revving again and again at slow speed with no particular reason whatsoever. Especially at night.
In my MSF class there was a dude that kept revving the shit out of the bike and we were just in line waiting for the exercise. Super annoying. He did it whenever the bike was on and I don't know why the instructors didn't tell him to knock it off.
At least they didnt start with buy a liter bike. Also 70mph when cars are going 70 is dumb, I always go 15-20mph faster than traffic. Why drive a bike like a cage? id just take the whip and have AC.
about the gear thing... i had an accident a couple weeks ago where i rode over some gravel lost grip and went down walked away with short term memory loss that only lasted a couple hours (still dont remember what exactly happened after the accident happened) banged up shoulder and scrapes and bruises i can tell u from not only experience but from a logical standpoint if i hit my head that hard just to knock 6 hours worth of time outta my life completely just imagine what woulda happened if i smacked my bare head no helmet off the asphalt... lets just say they would most likely still be pickin pieces of my brain off the road but i cant stress this enough if u dont wanna wear armored hoodies and pants and shoes and all that fine tho for the shoes or boots i suggest u do because thankfully i had steel toed shoes on because if i didnt i probably woulda either scraped my toes down to the bone or just lost completely lost a few in general but for ur legs and upper body make sure to wear long clothing at the minimum but always wear ur helmet every time now i see one of those harley meatheads riding with sunglases and no helmet i just think one retarded ass driver and that dude is more then likely dead especially on the highway moral of the story tho be dumb but dont be so dumb that u dont even take ur life seriously enough to wear a helmet
I saw an article about brand new motorcycle sandals. I laughed at it, but apparently it is a thing, actually marked as motorcycle footwear
I don't believe it was mentioned, but just start your bike and ride away. With modern bikes, there is no reason to let it "warm up". Just don't red line it till its up to temp. If its running, its warm enough to ride. No reason to shake the light fixtures of your neighbors for several minutes many times a day.
This video is giving "things car drivers hate".
Like "stop weaving and speeding and overtaking me with your turbo hayabusa 😡 "
As for the swerving, I pull across dirt so I’m scrubbing my tires, or after getting fuel scrub the diesel and oil off. And then every now and then get to swinging!
We got our beloved yammie noob on the right and super noob on the left 😂
I fecking hate rev bombing!! and it's only really been a thing for the last 10 years, before that, people actually knew how to use their horns. for a start, it puts your bike at risk of a huge fuck up, if you accidently dump the clutch at the same time, secondly, it just makes you look like a toddler having a tantrum and is not in the least bit cool, and we all ride bikes to 'be cool' lets admit
I hate the 600 guy who is in 1st gear the ENTIRE time. My brain is yelling "SHIFT GODDAMMIT"
Why tho it goes to 55
u r the guy that is clueless, not the 600.
Same! If anything. They could START IN SECOND
Not Brandon pulling out a half gallon of chocolate milk 🤣🤣
I'll swerve in my lane on an open slow road once in a while, and for no purpose whatsoever other than I like the slalom feel. We ride for fun right?
that Brandon guy must be really fun at parties 😂 jk but leave your bike in gear at red lights so you are ready to react to any type of emergency. “it creates a delay when i leave it in neutral” kinda just making it too complicated for yourself lol
Racers go side to side mostly to get the crap off their tires.
riding from side to side in your own lane makes you more visible like when you are crossing an intersection
8:29 my biggest pet peeve is when random people join your ride. If I’m alone at a stop light don’t pull up right next to me. Stay back and don’t pass me on my lane. If I hit you. It’s your fault.
wow i really just got click baited so hard😂 was expecting them too mention mirror smashing
My favorite is the Harley guys wearing boots, leather chaps, and a freaking black leather do rag.
Noobster giving safety advice? LOL!! I liv in Austin and know where he rides so roads like 2222 or 360 or 183 is not a place to bomb. Get on 45.
7:02 You guys should come to South East asia county, we lane splitting 50 to 60mph all day long 😂 , American road way wider
I have to mess with the throttle at a light on my old carburated hot rod Harley but my newer injected Harleys and injected crotch rockets I don't need to.
half of these are things that are fun lol
No swerving in your lane, no revs? This dude hates bikes.
swerving is fun? can we not be allowed to have safe fun? and its also useful to get them arms in the right spot... see where you can position your arms to turn better.
I swing side to side in the lane bc im behind someone slow on a straight road and I'm bored
I’m stuck between a ninja 400 & the new CF moto 450 ss as a beginner bike. I know Kawasaki is a reputable brand and you’ll never go wrong starting on the 400 , but since the 450 ss came out all the positive reviews make it difficult to decide ! If you can make a head to head video with these two bikes that would be awesome papa yams !
Personally I’d go cf moto
Nah. The Cf moto is Chinese. It might look better on paper, but its reliability is brought into question. Kawasaki is bulletproof
The horns are quiet as shit at speed and next to someone
So if you shift into neutral at a stoplight, you’re asking to get the coitus from behind you should leave it in gear so that way if you need to get out of the way of a vehicle, that’s going to insert itself up your backside you can get out of the way, but yeah, of course when the light turns green, you should always look before you go through the intersectionbut some of us like to get coitus from no judgment here
Helmets are required in my country on any motorcycle, scooter or moped. That’s good. Get a significant fine if not wearing. I only go squid (no gear except boots and helmet) these days during the heatwaves to cool off in the evening riding to the beach which is in my town, never going harder than 60 km/h. If I go outside of town; full gear.
Soooooo I just threw down for a tire while back in the land of church of twisty roads and able to do a track day but now back in the flat lands and do side to side while dancing to the safety dance and trying to keep from getting a super flat spot on my supercorsa, what better option do I have?
Off topic @Yammienoob can you get a z650rs and put it against the likes of xsr700, cb650r. Or even a vid comparing specs of 650 neo retros.
Good point at 5:00 ! As a dirt biker you have to have immediate access to your 5 controls at all times. Finger(s) over each lever and riding on the ball of your foot. Oftentimes all used in one combined braking and accelerating action out of corners. PS : I think you guys are going to live longer than the Gixxer Sq. 🙂
I havent legally rode a motorcycle yet....but I have had a few idiot bikers think they own the road and fuck with my car....one took something out of his pocket prob a knife and made a nice mark along the side of my car because "I followed too closely"......it was all on camera, I followed him to his house where he got off his bike like an idiot and threatened me with something...maybe knife again maybe a gun not sure.....called the cops and pressed charges. When to court where he go his license suspended....paid for my repairs and got community service and probation for brandishing a weapon and making threats...oh and the judge deemed I did nothing wrong and followed at a perfectly safe and legal distance ...guy was a jackass
Yammie!! Can you do a review on MV Agusta Brutale RR?
Someone crashed hard in San Diego recently in the 5 doing a wheelie at 80mph
Dumb things motorcyclists do: Complain about having to pass another rider crashed on the side of the road.

Red lining dumbest thing ever. They are literally damaeging there bike for nothing. Never have done. It never will
I’ve been watching your videos since I was like 14 I’m 22 now been on street bikes of all kinds my dad had a couple I never could get my own I finally did some trading and ended up with a 2002 zx9r what a stellar machine
Guilty of riding without any gear just helmet and gloves. Stuff is too dang expensive to buy.
Yo Yam! I’ve been seeing a street fighter v4 around town real often just wondering if it’s you bro!!
He talked about his vegetable friend, and then had a glimmer of amusement in his eye.

"His leg was decapitated." GD
I have a waterproof jacket that blows up like a balloon when air gets under the cuffs at highway speeds. The velcro cuffs don't really help much and my gloves don't stay over the cuffs. Any ideas on how to mitigate that?
No vents anywhere on it ?
redlining your motor if it has pistons is really bad on your wrist pins and crank bearings and stuff
The old carbureted and air cooled bike needed the throttle burps at the traffic lights to keep it from loading up on you. Newer injected bikes, not necessary.
