Ngl I feel bad for the day my grom gets stolen that thing got almost 180 personal hours of mods and just to get it started you gotta press three different buttons and two have to be held while pressing the three in a different pattern while holding the break not to mention you have to adjust the choke and if got forbid you get it start I pray you can do gp shift and no I don’t have to do the whole safety thing to start it since I have a custom breaker box and keyless ignition I have to just have my phone wallet and key fob on my body and when I walk up to the bike the lights and all come on and I just have to hit the start button with choke open while on front brake😂
That's some hard-core, old school shit right there. Hardtail, kickstart, hand shift, sprung seat, no juice brakes, air cleaner not req'd., bars same angle as forks, algae-green paint and excess frame brackets optional... I love it!

As a guy who's rebuilt a 51 pan EL61ci back to a daily this guy needs to add a few bits and bobs as a brit would say, like the left grip timing adjuster, vs going from one extreme to another, and at least get a cheapo aircleaner and stay on the pavement until you build or buy a different aircleaner. Theo only place i feel comfortable with no aircleaner on a boat!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸👋🤠
@toddgittins5692 You sound at least familiar with them. This one was a friend of my mom's whose husband had died of brain cancer. She didn't have the skills and very little money. So we made the deal, she bought the parts, I got to ride it, and her Custom 1200cc Sportster anytime that I wanted. The paint/body was driven across 2 states to a reputable painter 🎨 in Southern Colorado. Then hand delivered back when it was finished, to ensure that the paint wasn't damaged in transport! Top notch guy. And Apache Red was so incredibly beautiful that it appeared wet. 😍 the saddle bags were original with the teaspoon conchos. It had the buddy seat with the extra spring that flipped up for more support. I actually took my motorcycle test for my license endorsement. I'd riden bike's my whole life, just never did the state test, I'm in my early 20s at the time. The testing guy walks outside and 👀 sees the restored to as original as we could do. Powder coat vs bakalite, for example. He stops, and his chin hits the ground. He says you rode this up here? He walks around the bike and starts walking to the door. I say hey "what about the test?" He says,"C'mon, inside, if you rode that beautiful bike up here off the highway, I'm confident 😉 you know how to ride. Plus, I remember seeing 👀 you race flattrack over at the speedway, but he wasn't sure until he watched me longer! " So I followed him inside without even starting my motorcycle. LOL It was a little complicated for some people because the controls are a little different than the modern motorcycle 🏍. With the rocker/suicide clutch on the left footboard/foot, the left hand is responsible for the shift-lever [on tank] ignition advance on the left grip, and the left fingers are working front brake. The right grip is the throttle, and the right foot was for the rear brake. I haven't seen the bike in almost 30 years, and my memory sucks. lol, I'm sure it had something for the right fingers like a cable for the rear brake. I have 1 photograph buried somewhere. I wish I could remember...lol I'll remember it at 3:30am it'll wake me out of a sound sleep...lol God bless 🙌 you and yours thank you for the EL-FL goof..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠
You're going to regret running that thing without an air filter. It only takes a few hours before you start to do some serious damage due to dust ingestion.
