Tropical Rainforest Waterfalls!

The morning started off with us searching for the best coffee in the area, but the cafe was not yet open.
So… we decided to chase waterfalls while we waited.
As we arrived at the first waterfall, we were immediately surrounded by lush rainforest, and we revelled in the sound of the flowing water.
We then hiked further downstream of the creek along an old and overgrown track to reach the main waterfall.
The further we went, the more beautiful the scenery became.
It was a stunning sight, with the water cascading down a rocky cliff into a large pool below.
However, the weekend rains had definitely encouraged ALL of the leeches to come out to play, but we still think these gorgeous waterfalls were worth a bit of blood loss.
The dense tropical rainforests and their waterfalls that we are so lucky to enjoy in North Queensland truly offer a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
