They are unlikely to go this far up. Only in the lower reaches of the creek and near the estuaries.

Hinchinbrook Island and specifically the Thorseborne Trail is under threat from the Queensland government. Currently, they are asking for expressions of interest to build accommodation along the Thorsborne Trail. As you would know the island ecosystem is very delicate and putting tourist accommodation along the trail will change it and the hiking experience there forever. We do not believe the government have a right to lease out National Parks and we need help to stop this. Follow the hashtag #thorsbornetrailnotforsale for more information or sign the petition @ www.change.org/p/steve-keating-save-hinchinbrook-island-and-the-thorsborne-trail

Such a great trail - we hiked North to South and didn't have quite such amazing weather! Still the perfect place for epic content though! 🙌

You were lucky to get in with your Phantom before they banned drone use at Carnarvon. I took mine three weeks ago hoping to get some shots like yours but was confronted by a hastily taped up notice outside the Park visitors centre saying drones are not allowed in the park and on the spot fines will be issued. I wish they had made this fact clear somewhere online before I travelled 800km with my Phantom taking up space in the vehicle. The gorge is amazing though and we did a ton of walking in our five days there - absolutely beautiful. Nice shots and edit - well done.
Oh, that's new. That would have been more than annoying travelling just for flying but it's still a nice place to relax and to take in nature and the surrounds. Thanks for watching.

Thank you. Carnarvon Gorge is an amazing place. We recommend going there in Winter as it was way too hot in Summer when we were there; hiking in around 38 degrees Celsius.

Just stunning! I grew up in Cardwell and woke up every morning to view of the majestic Hinchinbrook Island. The Thorsborne Trail is such an amazing walk, I hope to do it again one day. Thanks for creating this, beautiful :)
