Arif Mardin Remembered

It's such a privilege to be able to celebrate Arif Mardin. I had the chance to work with this amazing person for many years, and he always left me in awe of his many talents. No matter what the genre of music we were working on, he brought his creative and professional touch to the project as well as a positive attitude that affected everyone in the studio. He always kept things interesting. I remember him showing up for a string session with the ink still wet on the string charts, but nothing seemed to make him lose his cool. Although he has left the studio for the last time, we who knew and worked side by side with him will always remember and love this gentle giant.
