STR and VIT being one stat, DS1 poise with non-exploitable backstabs, R1 spam is in the grave, swappable WA's and infusions, viable magic, fucking POWERSTANCING??? Elden Ring looks so goddamn fun, so I genuinely really appreciate the big name pvp lords checking out some of the wonky shit early on, thank you for making the game better at launch!
The dodging in this game is delayed after any attack, I compared it to dark Souls 3 rolling and I can confirm that the rolling is delayed, I couldn't time anything during a boss fight, I hope they fix that

I can’t wait for this game to come out. DS1’s poise, but backstabs are harder so you can’t abuse poise. Ds3’s weapon arts, but you can customize them. Powestancing is back. You can T-bag. Defensive playstyles are allowed to be more active with counterattacking. Guardbreaking, parrying and riposting is encouraged. Oh yeah, this is gonna be awesome.
don't forget vigor is now built into strength, so heavy weapons encourages heavier defense! :D Also think about how the horse changes PVE, like with heavy armor. Tree Sentinel doesn't seem to be suffering from movement impairment while on horseback, I bet we will be the same.

If you wanted to fast roll with high poise armor, you needed Havel’s and a high endurance. So high you might not get any extra stamina, and at that point it would be a waste of points if you just slapped on the wolf ring. With DS1’s poise system, Straight Sword R1 spam won’t be totally OP, either, making strength builds more viable in PVP. Especially with powerstancing, now that you don’t need 1.5x the stats. Imagine dual wielding UGS without having to pump up your STR. to a ridiculous level

All DS3 glitches appear to still be in the game, aside from Bow-Glitch (which some are theorizing to still be in the game but not tied to specifically small bows anymore)

Infinite Stamina, Infinite Stunlock, animation canceling, move set swapping, Bow Glitch, etc. They were all untouched aside from Bow Glitch, which mechanically relied on how weapon arts work in DS3. Since some Elden Ring weapon arts are similar to that of DS3 weapon arts it is being theorized that we didn't find the correct weapon art in the network test to make the glitch work.
@@flygawnebardoflight yeah, its possible you just dont understand how many glitches are in DS3 and how many of them are reliant on DS3 specific assets. glitches with specific enemy moves, glitches with enemy spawn locations, glitches with specific scripted events, motion value errors on specific weapons, etc etc. it would be appropriate to say that "nearly all useful or gamebreaking glitches inherent to the engine that pvp players care about are currently present in this build of elden ring" or something like that.
This isn't even a bug, it's an exploit. You'd never accidentally preform the moveswap, it requires super specific timing and is based on how the game reads/holds your inputs.

This network test was a really great idea. Now they can make last minute balance adjustments and bug-fixing without having to put out a patch while the game's already out. They're probably going to need to do that anyway, but it won't need to be as drastic.

game is not out untill february.. this was just a test... and people are abusing bugs... lol .. then again...thats the purpose of a test XD But i am not sure will those things be fixed... that is an inbuilt engine thing... i wouldnt dig through the bonse of the engine and change some deeply ingrained things 3 months before game comes out...it can fix those bugs but fixing those may cause new bugs...

i have a lot of concerns about how PVP is gonna be in Elden Ring. i want idiots to try to R1 spam and i wanna be able to reliably parry them, fuck the one hit R1 stuff ER has now. in my mind, the point of r1s was lower damage but you could combo attacks, and the r2s were the opposite. now youre really gonna never get a setup parry unless the opponent is visibly sprint-running at your face, only reaction parries. PLUS ER still has no i-frames on backsteps, which was my main setup for parries in DS2. backstep an R1, idiot keeps R1ing, parry, idiot dies. jumping concerns me. shit that SHOULD hit just isnt, it'll swipe through someone's fucking knees and thats not how that should work. GUESS WHAT? THEY GAVE JUMPS I-FRAMES ON STARTUP!!! WHY??? IDK!! the biggest thing that im worried about is how turtly the game is. the whole shield counter thing and the fact you HAVE to go bare-handed to guardbreak just. just kills ER's PvP for me. I think ill pass and go back to DS2. seems like they didnt fix the issues i had with DS3's PVP, and im not worried. i know they arent gonna make a game anything like DS2 again and if they remaster it they'll prolly change the whole damn thing and fuck it up like how they did in SOFTS. idc. none of this all makes sense anymore.
This is a lot more useful than it might initially appear to be if you can hit someone with the first swing or bait someone into walking into the second swing, Ive used this a lot in ds3. Only way I see this getting patched is if they make it harder/take longer to open the menu by adding a black screen, which I don't want them to do cause parry/riposte swaps will be harder as well then. I also just like this glitch, it's fun to do.
This game looks like it’s taking all the things ds2 did really really really well and actually incorporating them instead of forgetting they existed like in ds3. Ds3 tried so hard to be casual credibly that it ended up being the most mechanically bland
They better patch this crap or there will be blockings everywhere. People are sick of the abuses with DS3 and they better not carry over to elden ring.
I don't get it. About the "swap move" thing. Why's that important? Just play the game. Which, actually, better, than DS3. But if to analyze the models and mechanics, sure thing From's exported much things from their past games with new invented techniques to the whole new game.
