Moving with the times & dressing like it. 1974. Big hit

Wow, I had forgotten all about this song, much less who it was sung by, but I always loved it. Great song thanks for reminding me.😄

They were known as blue eyed soul. The tall one Bill is still alive and still singing. Sadly Bobby passed. R.I.P. Bobby ♥️

They did another one in the 80s and Elvis is in it.

It might be fun to write down all of the artists that are mentioned in this song and react to some of their hits. And I know what you mean about the feel of the song. Sad that these people are gone too early, but the song is a celebration of their lives rather than mourning their loss.

React to Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers singing Summertime live. His vocal versatility is unbelievable.

the Righteous Brothers had not sung together for about 6 years....they thought their career was over together when their music wasn't selling when psychedelic rock and stuff came in in the late 1960's. Someone got them to record anew album together in 1974. things had change, you can see their hair slightly different and the clothing - disco leisure suit type stuff[ personally the clothes...yuch!!] But the song!! We had just lost Jim Croce the year before and a few others....the song sold BIG! And Nixon had resigned with after dragging the country through Watergate and lies !! When I first heard this on the radio, I thought. dang, that sounds like the RIghteous Brothers, wonder who it is? The announcer said who it was, and my pride swelled up, "Their back!!!" Wow, this song!!!" And it has been 50 years since w elost Jim Croce in a plane crash this year.

Hi Ashley, You know that the Righteous Brothers just don't miss!!! This song "Rock And Roll Heaven" came out in the 70's and you can see how Bill & Bobby dressed a little bit more casual & their hair styles were longer too...Nevertheless, they still killed it with their voices and their tribute to all of those previous artists was very heartfelt to the point that this became another big hit for The Righteous Brothers!!! Now in a couple of your previous reactions you said that these guys must of had our Grannies in a "choke-hold" and that they also must of had our Granny's panties, so the next song to react to by them that will certainly confirm your "Thesis" is titled: "I JUST WANT TO MAKE LOVE TO YOU" and here is the Link: th-cam.com/video/Udyqprq46b0/w-d-xo.html Now, I warn you, trust me, please have a fan near you too, because you're gonna have to brace yourself for this one!!!

Bobby Hatfield (the blond member of the duo) has gone on to Rock 'N Roll Heaven himself. This is a great song, as is the follow-up, "Dream On" (no, not the Aerosmith song lol). This one came out in the early summer of 1974 and Jim Croce had only died the previous September so they got that in there fast. Great tribute song for those 70's greats who are no longer with us.

Try listening to Bill Medley's I Just Want to Make Love to You. Singing separately or together they never miss!

Would have been awesome if Elvis had joined them in this song, but in a few years he too would be in that great Rock and Roll heaven.
