    Hello, and welcome to BecomeInspired! In this video, I share the BEST way to steam beets. Beets are filled with vital nutrients, and if you steam them the wrong way, the nutrients escape into the water and leave the beet. Follow my instructions so you can steam your beets the best way possible and to reap the greatest benefits from these nutritious gems! If you didn't know, beets improve eye sight and are immune boosting foods that give your brain a kick start. No, you don't need snakeoil products you see in advertisements (Organifi, I'm talking to you). Natural foods will always work the best.
    Please enjoy, and know that I always answer my comments.

    Thank you for the info about steaming your beets. I've always boiled them to death. Actually, I didn't think steaming the whole beet would work and actually cook it all the way through. Forgot I purchased a pot steamer many, many years ago. Never used it. Just found it--still in the store box--in my attic so I'm going to steam my beets instead from now on because, as you said, I don't want to boil away all that good nutrition. God bless and thanks again!

    • @BecomeInspired
      @BecomeInspired  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wandamajette5000 Wanda, this is a good question. This point is highly debated. I personally don't think you are, and by heating certain things you can actually gain more nutrients. As far as beets goes, my main concern in this video was to not boil the beets in water, allowing the nutrients to drain away and become wasted.

      market. A good source is "Pura Vida" on Amazon. Maybe others. I've had good results with it, even a personal e-mail from the company. You can get capsules or bulk from them. It

    Hey Ashley that's a ok way to Steam beets., But Here in North America We Steam BEETS in a Pressure Cooker for Only 12 to 15 minutes., and it's Completely Done Right.!

      I've heard that works well too! Thanks!! I do this method in North America too, and it has also worked out for me like I'm sure the pressure version works for you.

    Hi Ashley! Was wondering what the powder was that you called red pepper ?is it the same as cayenne pepper?

    • @BecomeInspired
      @BecomeInspired  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is, but it's a blend of cayenne and some other red peppers, crushed and dried.

    • @BecomeInspired
      @BecomeInspired  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For liability’s sake, I can’t make dietary recommendations. This is extremely healthful in my opinion. Always make sure to eat the appropriate amount of vitamins and nutrients your body needs each day, and as always, consult a dietary coach regarding your health

      You can use any dish with holes, or anything else you can put upside down. As long as it's got holes in it so it can steam the beets.

    Avoid the plastic cutting boards and plastics as microplasric not healthy. Look into issues from microplastic and PFOA in water from sink or bottle water and also dangers of Teflon or other non stick pans. Thank you so much though for this beautiful video

    • @BecomeInspired
      @BecomeInspired  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      YES, THESE ARE WORDS OF WISDOM! Microplastics are awful, but this isn't plastic. It's an organic material. Teflon is horrible... I need to do better on that front.

      @@BecomeInspired ah great that you know. Sharing information I learned a little late in my self, live by the phrase put yourself in other peoples shoes. I imagined if I was you in that video making that great video to the world and not knowing if plastic was safe to cut hot things on or not, I would be eating poison so I was hoping to share that knowledge with you :) as I didn’t know myself too for many years until I learned to use organic material like you are, we use wood we cut at Home Depot :) much cheaper
