Thanks to you my brother I'm ganna wake up and safe my self £400 omega rig and go get some wood and build it just like you it's looks amazing and simple good work lad 👏
Hey bro thanks for these tips. I showed this to my dad and he altered your original plans... tiny tiny bit. But it was so much fun. Thanks brother! ❤ love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Thank you, sir! Materials list was on point. Son and I built this and pretty much used everything. Build was about $96 because we got a real car seat from a junkyard! 😅
Bro this is actually sick, considering some frames are like $600+ I've got a spare bucket seat at home I'm going to build a frame with it thank you for sharing how you did it
As for the seat.. go to a car junkyard and buy a seat & the rails it is mounted on. If you do, then use the bottom beams at 1.5 the given length to allow sliding your seat.
Awesome job! Thanks also particularly for the list of materials and plans … it made it possible for me to build my own EM rig as well. Liked and subscribed.
I finished it late last night, built it in my garage so I had to carry it to the main floor and then back down to the basement. It was such a pain, but building it was so awesome! Thanks again!
Thank you for the idea, i will probably add a support for my tv and i will go into a junkyard to find a comfortable seat that I will hard mount into my frame
i know im asking randomly but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Allan Torin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
thanks for the video, and going the extra mile, and supplying a pdf download as that's super helpful. I've had a hyperdrive then a playseat, but have not sim raced for about 5 years, going to use your build as a starting point to get back into it. Cheers from the southeast coast of Australia!
Next time if you want to have an easier time making it square and make it a little stronger. Have the front and back horizontal boards sit sideways in between the length of the two long boards. Then put a 90° triangle piece in every corner and then screw it tight. The force of the drill we'll pull the sides into the middle piece you create and make a perfect square and it will add a lot more strength.
@@RealExpiredMilk the funny part was me having to relearn how to play F1 2020 with the g923. Took me a whole week to get used to but now I literally can't do it with the controller anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@RealExpiredMilk thank you, actually building it today :) and had a friend with a NRG seat from a Veloster he's going to sell me for cheap. 🤘🏻 hope your set up is working well!

Thanks for the video. I have one of those car chair computer chairs and I am going to be basing a similar rig on yours I am only slightly altering the design and shortening it and raising the steering wheel to use with any chair I want. How did you secure the pedal to it?
That's awesome, I hope it comes out well! The pedals on mine werent affixed to the rig, what I ended up doing was just putting a small piece of wood at the back of the base for it to rest on to give it an incline. It was a slight bit shorter than the 2x4 of the base so it rested against the back and never moved. I hope this makes sense!
Im not carpenter nor a woodworker *this is both a question and a statement* but wouldnt putting a wood piece under your legs across the 2 posts and then another piece behind the wheel across the diagonal posts increase structural rigitidy?
They are just pressed up against the plank. Makes for easy adjustments if someone shorter wants to use it I also have a small rug placed underneath the rig now so the bottom of the pedals grip it so it doesn’t move around at all
just one question when i looked at the blueprints i realized that i might be to short to get to the pedals do you know any type of fix for this like can i build this rig and put the seat longer forwards or something i would really want an answer because im pretty short and want to know if this works on very short people to
i may be captain obvious, but i dont think it will work with a gt dd pro 8nm, right? i mean thats a lot of power, sure some wood could accommodate a g29 or a t150/t300, but i think a DD is too much, or should i look at this as a viable option?
