I think it makes sense for Vegeta and Broly to have that relationship since Broly can be susceptible to being controlled and Vegeta always wanted to rule over his race like his father. Except its because Broly wants friends and Vegeta wants to be prince and something to be proud of.

I don't care that this was an April Fools story. I actually got emotionally invested in this, and it was good to have a happy Broly who was able to survive and move past his trauma and hate for Goku to become a friend and ally to him and the rest of the team.

I liked this for the most part. I just wish that maybe Broly hadn't gotten frozen for several years, still lost his memories, but had a couple years to just... wander the planet and develop away from the Z-fighters. Maybe encounter them and get into a fight around the time the second Broly movie would've happened but spare them after he won or something to convince them he's not a threat anymore. Then get to the training. That, and still have the Buu Saga and a Broly that could actually contribute to that, but at this point I'm pretty much expecting any What If that doesn't have Buu as the center of the scenario to just drop the Buu Saga entirely.

I just wish that maybe Broly hadn't gotten frozen for several years, still lost his memories, but had a couple years to just... wander the planet and develop away from the Z-fighters. Maybe encounter them and get into a fight around the time the second Broly movie would've happened but spare them after he won or something to convince them he's not a threat anymore. Then get to the training.
That, and still have the Buu Saga and a Broly that could actually contribute to that, but at this point I'm pretty much expecting any What If that doesn't have Buu as the center of the scenario to just drop the Buu Saga entirely.
This is told so well it's almost like watching an actual tv episode, complete with annoying ad break right at a cliffhanger!
It's a sin that this what if hasn't been done more.
